Quiet home near Red Rock Crossing with view of Brins Mountain and Cathedral Rock
You have discovered one of the best locations in Sedona!!
Experience peaceful, relaxing countryside living in Sedona. Our home is a newer stucco construction, tastefully decorated with Southwest decor from room to room. There are beautiful red rock views from the house from both balconies, as well as the greenery of the surrounding high desert forest. Most importantly, our home is just a few steps to beautiful Oak Creek's Crescent Moon Ranch, home of Red Rock Crossing, and several wonderful hiking trails. Every season here is STUNNING! Red Rock Crossing is one of the most photographed sites in all of Arizona, and you will be able to enjoy its winding trails on a daily basis. If you'd rather hang out in the city for the day, our home is also a very short drive away to the heart of Sedona with all that it has to offer. Local grocery stores (including many organic and gluten free options), a variety of restaurants, boutiques, shops, art galleries and cultural entertainment venues are just a few minutes drive away.
This comfortable, well equipped 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is located in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood, just outside the city of Sedona. Wake up rested and refreshed on very comfortable beds. There is one king bed on the lower level, with its own armoire and 26 inch combination TV/DVD. There are two queen sized beds upstairs. One upstairs bedroom has a large walk-in closet and a personal balcony with panoramic views of Cathedral Rock and Brins Mesa. There are full bathrooms on each floor, completely stocked with towels and a first aid kit.
Sip your favorite beverage on the lower balcony and relax as you watch for wildlife and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the area. This outdoor space is equipped with seating up to six, and is a nice area to eat dinner or socialize with friends.
The flagstone patio in the backyard looks out to Pyramid Rock and has a barbecue grill with seating for outdoor dining.
The home is also equipped with a washer and dryer and a fully stocked kitchen including everything you need to cook that special meal - a gas oven, cooking utensils, crockpot, blender and a few extra surprises like popcorn, coffee and tea to enjoy in our sunny kitchen. There is an oak kitchen table which can be expanded for seating up to six.
The inviting rustic yet modern living room is equipped with leather couches, a reclining lounge chair, oak furniture and a 43 inch television with all cable stations provided. Since our home is in a valley, some may find that there can be spotty cell phone reception, therefor we provide a landline for free local and long distance calls within the US. Wi Fi is available for your internet needs.
Since the home is located next to a state park, it is likely that you will observe occasional sightings of the local wildlife. Guests have seen a variety of animals, including javelina, coyotes, bobcats, deer, rabbits and a multitude of birds. In fact, many refer to our home as a virtual bird sanctuary when sitting on the balconies relaxing to the sound of the bird songs. At night you will enjoy a dark and quiet setting, as Sedona has been recognized as an international dark sky city. Many of our guests comment that our sky is the best they've ever encountered when it comes to stargazing.
One of the greatest attractions to this home is the ability to walk just 10 minutes to Red Rock Crossing at Crescent Moon Ranch State Park. This is one of the best locations in Sedona, hidden away in a valley right next to your accomodations. Early morning and evening walks along Oak Creek can hardly be described - your senses will be overcome by the beauty of the Cathedral Rock views, the smells of the lush vegetation and the sounds of the running creek. Access to hiking, biking and swimming are available by stepping right out the front door.
If you wish to be adventurous, balloon rides, helicopter excursions and pink jeep tours await you only a few minutes away.

Why Michael and Brenda Phipps chose West Sedona
We chose this property because of its beautiful, secluded location. This rural location is a walk back in time, to the way Sedona used to be before the city life came along. It truly is a magical place, and the drive down into the valley to reach the home is a scenic trip in and of itself. From the minute we took ownership of this home, we realized how lucky we were! It is in one of the most relaxing, treasured spots in all of Sedona. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it. You will feel refreshed and in tune with all the natural wonder Sedona has to offer. Michael's dream has always been to have a home near the water, and his dream was realized when we found this home only a short walk away from the most beautiful part of oak creek. We love it here, and we want to share this beautiful and special location with others.
What makes this House unique
We think you will find that this home is uniquely located to meet your vacation needs. It is located a 15 minute drive away to Uptown Sedona, Tlaquepaque and the art gallery district, yet tucked away in a beautiful valley surrounded by forest, hills, red rocks and wildlife. If you choose to stop at the Pink Jeep Tour office in uptown, you can take other trips into the red rocks that afford fantastic views. Uptown Sedona is also the entryway to Oak Creek Canyon, a 12-mile piece of paradise in which you can easily spend an entire day exploring. Boynton Canyon is another scenic area located very close to our home, and offers many fantastic hiking opportunities. Our home is only a 10-minute drive to Page Springs Winery tours and other fun activities in the Verde Valley. And finally, our home is right where the action is when it comes to cultural activities, with the Sedona Center for Performing Arts and Sedona Cultural Center a 5-minute drive up the road. We also think you will discover that this area is in the best part of Oak Creek near Crescent Moon State Park - less crowded and extremely beautiful. A bird watcher's paradise! And if you like swimming holes, you are in for a treat, as there are several of them located along the trail.

Great Hiking and Spectacular Views within walking distance
This property was just what we were looking for. It is nestled about 10 minutes outside Sedona, but great hiking and spectacular views are just a short walk from the door. The property has 2 nice balconies and backyard patio area to enjoy sitting outdoors. Everything inside was very clean and modern. We would definitely stay here again.
Really like home
Thank you for the wonderful time. This is one of the most well equipped and thoughtful properties we have rented. While some rental homes are completely stripped of all basic things we take for granted (olive oil, coffee filters, spices, sandwich bags etc.) it was great to not have to scramble to make the first day smooth. The information in book in the house is very helpful too. I highly recommend taking a trip up to Jerome AZ while you’re in town! We mountain biked every day right from the house. The trails here are no joke, some truly hard core folks out here! It’s up up up to get out but all down hill coming home! If you will be arriving after dark I will say it is DARK out here and the house numbers are not visible. There is no cell service so have your exact directions and photo of the house saved somewhere so you can tell you’re in the right place, you won’t be able to look it up on the fly. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
Great house & Location
Beautiful house in a great location with easy access to Sedona and trails. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The owners checked in with us several times to make sure all was ok. Great view of Cathedral Rock, especially from the upstairs bedrooms. There were several trailheads within easy walking distance. We particularly like the ridge trail, which has the best vistas of any trail, & the short walk down the road to Crescent Moon Rec. Area & the hike along Oak Creek. Most of the wildlife we saw was around the house. There were visits by Javelina almost every day, quit Gambol’s Quail, & lots of birds at the feeders. Our stay couldn’t have been better.
Location & house were perfect
The location felt a million miles from nowhere, yet was an easy 10-minute drive to town. It was so quiet at night you could hear the coyotes. There was abundant wildlife during the day, als, including javelinas. Wonderful hikes right out the front door. The house was also ideal: comfortable, roomy and super clean. Really appreciated that Michael and Brenda don’t used fragranced products.
Relaxing and peaceful home in Red Rock area of Sedona
My wife and I were very lucky to stumble onto this property when trying to find a place to stay for 1 month in the Sedona area. It is in a wonderful setting that is quiet, peaceful and relaxing with loads of wildlife. The house is well outfitted, as the owners, Michael and Brenda, have done an excellent job of maintaining the home and making it a very welcoming place to stay. They think of the "little things" that make a big difference, such as a beautiful flower arrangement and note upon our arrival, a well appointed kitchen, a small Christmas tree, games, hiking poles, and a welcome book with plenty of detailed information on the area, restaurants and activities, They have an active bird feeder where, over the month, we identified over 30 different types of birds. We had javelinas, coyotes, and quail on most days, walking thru the yard or within sight of the windows or decks, And we hiked just about every day on the local trails that you can access directly from the house. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our month long stay at this home. Many thanks to Micheal and Brenda for their prep and ongoing work and communications that helped make it so enjoyable.
As described by the owners, the Cathedral House is in a quiet oasis with incredible views!
The house is welcoming and well stocked, the area is beyond gorgeous, and there were quail and javalinas providing live entertainment! The five of us were extremely comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Our home is located in the quiet, rural valley of Red Rock Crossing and Crescent Moon State Park, less than 1 mile southwest of Sedona city limits. This 286 acre park is just an 8-minute leisurely walk from the front door of our home. Cathedral Rock is the famous landmark here, and is the most photographed spot in Sedona, if not all of Arizona. Arizona's famous Oak Creek meanders through this scenic park, abounding with plants and wildlife. There are bird watching activities on Saturdays and Wednesdays at the park. There are well-marked forest service trails just minutes away. They lead to areas of native vegetation, red rock hills and stunning scenery. Sedona is also a unique spot for Hot Air Balloons, Pink Jeep Tours, and airplane/helicopter rides that take you past rock monuments and to ancient ruins inaccessible to hikers. Our home is uniquely situated near the Verde Valley as well, and all of its activities. These include the Page Spring winery tours just a 15 minute drive away, and other fun places such as historic Jerome ghost town, Montezuma’s Castle, Verde River Railway, Out of Africa Wild Animal Park and Tuzigoot Indian Ruins.
