This recently renovated loft is located in the Upper Marais, one of the most typical, central and trendy neighborhoods of Paris. Close to fashion boutiques, trendy bars and gourmet restaurants, Paris attractions and museums, as well as specialty food stores. The apartment is close to several subway stations (Republique, Filles du Calvaire et St Sebastien Froissart), which makes it very easy to get anywhere in Paris.
The apartment, which is located on the top floor of a traditional Marais building, on the courtyard side, is peaceful, bright, and offers all modern amenities. It is equipped with double pane windows, has very high ceilings, and has a surface of 290 square feet plus a 190 square foot sleeping loft. Two skylights in the sleeping loft, as well as three other windows in the apartment, make the apartment very bright. It has a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, a stove, and a washing machine/dryer. It has a beautiful traditional oak parquet floor. There is a bathtub in the bathroom. The studio is equipped with a flat-screen TV with foreign TV channels, a stereo, and unlimited wifi internet.
For your comfort, the apartment is non-smoking and pets are not allowed.
This is a well kept studio with everything that you need. Have to take several flights of stairs which is typical in Europe so make sure to have light luggage. The loft is cute. The location is superb, markets, cafes and pastry shops all around the place not to mention it's in one of the most desirable arondissments and section. Easy commute and or walk to all points. Popelini which is a highly rated choux shop is 3 doors away and Poilane, also a highly rated dining place is across the street. Couple of Franpix a block away.
Olivier is very professional, considerate and responds timely. He sent me the link that has everything I needed and was very impressed. I highly recommend this place. I couldn't have made a better choice.
This quiet, safe, studio apartment, conveniently located in the Marais and very close to the Metro, was the perfect "home" for my friend and me during a recent week in Paris. Charming small street with many lovely shops and cafes just steps from the building's front door. Two comfortable sleeping options - a loft and a pull-out couch. Working kitchen. (Note: this is a walk-up building with no elevator.)
This apartment has a brilliant location in the north Marais, making it easy walking distance to a variety of neighborhoods, including the Canal St. Martin. I very much appreciated the quietness of the apartment. The various windows made the apartment feel airy and kept it cool. Franck was very friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this apartment to friends and colleagues, unless they were older because of the stairs and the loft. (However, the bed was very comfortable, and the skylights kept it cool).
Plenty of hot water and good water pressure, too! It was nice to have a deep tub.
This apartment was comfortable for my daughter & I for 5 days. It was clean, quiet, & safe. Andre O., the owner, answered all our questions before via e-mail and responded quickly. The apartment was easy to find from the metro with simple directions. We expected the stair climb, but it was long & narrow after a long day; however we were kindly greeted by Andre M. (not the regular manager) even when we were late and he had waited patiently wondering where we were. The apartment was spacious for Europe (we could leave the suitcases open!). The windows, blinds, comforters, pillows, pans, knives, & wine glasses were great. The kitchen is very basic, so make sure you have the utensils you need before you cook, but it worked well for us. It was wonderful to have a washer (the written directions were confusing); if it was also the dryer, we missed that and used the bathroom clothesline (but we never took time to call Franck and ask for help either). The living room heater worked well the night we needed it. The loft bed was comfy; the sofa bed was very firm, but my daughter was fine with it. There were basics (like salt, pepper, tea, dish soap, trash bags, cleaners, etc.) in the kitchen but only one roll of toilet paper so we had to buy more and laundry detergent for our stay, so check when you arrive so you know what is needed. The wi-fi worked great; we never tried the tv. There were nice cafes, a lovely bakery, a butcher shop, a small grocery store, several fruit markets, and more, right in our neighborhood of a few blocks. The metro was only a 5-10 min. walk and had wonderful connections to other major lines. We were only a 20-30 min. walk from Notre Dame. Franck cheerfully met us EARLY for our check out; he was pleasant and made sure we knew how to get to the airport and where to go for our flight once we were there. If we'd contacted him during the week with questions, I'm sure he would have been immediately helpful.
Across the street from the best bread in Paris, I walked up and opened the door on a charming space for my three month stay in Paris. In the neighborhood is everything you could want in a small French village. The apartment is well equipped for everyday life with enough modern features that this New Yorker felt at home. The location is convenient to many major Paris landmarks.
