About Blaise and Dina Miller, Owners

We are the Miller's (from left, Dina, my wife and our sons Bryce [20] and Brent [17], and me (Blaise). This picture is from August, 2017 when we went on vacation to the Low Country near Beaufort inf South Carolina. We rented a small cottage with a dock on a saltwater estuary (have gone there many times). In front of us is our "Low Country Boil" which was crabs we had just caught, shrimp, potatoes, sausage, and corn. What a feast and great family memories, this was our last vacation before Bryce started at UGA.

We originally fell in love with Bella Vista Lodge becuase of it's fantastic views of Mount LeConte and the massive wall of windows in which to 'take it all in'. Over the past year, we have renovated EVERYTHING in the lodge; installing new hardwood floors, antler chandeliers, carpet, furniture, appliances, lighting, cabinetry...and...and...and...

It was a lot of work, but the end results is a fantastic, top-of-the-line, mountain lodge that your family and friends will love to come home to and won't ever want to leave!!

We hope you love Bella Vista Lodge as much as we do.

Blaise and Dina Miller, Owners purchased this cabin in 2010

Why Blaise and Dina Miller, Owners chose Sevierville

Our search for this cabin crossed several states and a year and a half. We found lots of beautiful locations in other areas but to quote our youngest son 'It's so BORING...there is nothing to do but look at the view!'

We hated to admit it but he was right...Where could there be a place that had the serenity, and views that the adults desired, while having enough 'fun' to hook the kids??? The answer was Gatlinburg, TN!!

We found some of the best mountain views in the South in this area. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge have lots to do for our boys, from hiking, to white water rafting, to fine dining and live shows, to horseback riding and Go-Karts. We now that this area will entertain EVERYONE in our family for years to come...

What makes this cabin unique

We looked low and high, but could not find a place that 'wowed' us. When we found 'Bella Vista', there was no mistaking we had found what we were searching for!

Bella Vista Lodge combines a fantastic mountain view but unintimidating roads to get there. A real rarity in these parts!

It also provides plenty of indoor and outdoor space to accomodate large groups while still keeping a cozy and intimate feel.

The Lodge is in the Arts & Crafts District, which is a quaint area with lots of small family-run artisian shops - you don't even have to buy, just go in and talk with the kind folks - they are very friendly people.

We take pride in knowing that other families can create wonderful memories to last a lifetime while staying at Bella Vista.

Please know we will do everything possible to make sure you have a great vacation in the Smokies!

Perfect cabin for a fun family weekend

  • 5 of 5

11/8/12-11/12/17 My family (2 sisters, their husbands and children as well as my husband and children) enjoyed 4 fun-filled days at Bella Vista Lodge! it is a beautiful cabin with plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed staying in most of the time and playing pool/board games. The hot tub was a hit with everyone. The owner is great to work with and is responsive- (we accidentally set the alarm off when we first got there! He contacted us to make sure everything was ok). The TV in the basement bedroom did not work- not a big deal at son wanted to play video games in the room, but I was actually happy he couldn't! The fireplace in the living room would not stay on due to an issue with the pilot light- again, not a big deal for us because it was plenty warm in the cabin. These issues were taken care of the day we checked out- I let the owner know that I did not want or need these to be addressed during our stay. There was plenty of space for our family and the beds were comfortable. The kids got to stay in the basement bedroom with bunk beds (which they loved). We did spend time in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge (a 15 minute drive), but actually preferred staying in and having quality family time. The Smoky Mountains time of the year are absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely be staying at Bella Vista again!

Owner's Response: Sounds like a wonderful family vacation. Yes, I did visit the cabin the day you checked out and relight the fireplace pilot light and also installed a new 32" TV for the bunk room as well as a new Blueray DVD player. Just let me know when you are ready for your next vacation at Bella Vista Lodge.

We loved our stay at Bella Vista Lodge, we had a great time. Wasn't to far from Gatlinburg downtown, differently recommends this cabin to anybody wanting to get away from the city life for a few days. We are from Miami and it was a amazing and different experience for our family. We will be Definitely be visiting again.

Our stay at Bella Vista Lodge.

  • 5 of 5

Loved our trip to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Severville. Bella Vista was centered in the middle of it all. It was easy to go to any location without being tied up in a lot of traffic.

Pictures don't lie, it was beautiful inside and out.

We enjoyed having our coffee in the mornings taking in the view of the mountains. Depending on the clouds it was different every day. Privacy was great yet easy to get to.

This was my 5th. stay in Tennessee and it was also my favorite place too stay.

Hope to do it again next year. Thanks again. Ada brown.

Families will love Bella Vista!

  • 5 of 5

Ten members of our family (3 generations) have been vacationing in the Smokies for over 35 years & have stayed in many different cabins. Bella Vista certainly did not disappoint. The cabin was perfect for a large family, was one of the cleanest & best equipped we've ever had. Cooking meals for 10 & we had everything we needed! The bunk room is perfect for the grandkids. We especially loved all the outdoor seating (not to mention the view) on the decks. Such a quiet area, yet close to the National Park, restaurants , grocery store, etc. Parking for our 4 cars was a plus, too! A great place to make some wonderful family memories!

Absolutely wonderful cabin

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with my family. We loved the view and relaxing on the deck. The hot tub was just right on the cooler evenings. I was astounded to see wood even on the bathroom ceilings! The beds were comfortable and more than enough room for my family of 12. The grandchildren loved the bunk room. The kitchen had all the pans, cutlery, dishes, etc... that we needed to make meals and plenty of seating to eat together. The wifi was very slow the first day. However, owner installed a new wifi system and the speed was good the rest of our stay. Sound bars for tv's was cool. We really enjoyed our stay and hated to leave! I would highly recommend the cabin and owner to everyone.

Nice home; beautiful views, a few issues

  • 3 of 5

We had a group of 14 people and there was plenty of room for all of us. The view was gorgeous and the beds were huge and extremely comfortable. We had 5 kids ages 5 thru 10 and they made the most out of the downstairs area. The guys also made good use of the pool table.

Having said all of that there were some disappointments. We had issues with the A/C which was reported on Sunday and was not rectified until Wednesday. Once the repairman came out, we were good to go, though. The wi-fi was basically non-existent and we used all of our data by the time the week was out. I realize, we're in the mountains and it can be an issue but I guess we just expected to be able to have access. The only other issue was the dryer. It took several hours to dry a load of towels. Apparently that has been an issue but we were told to be patient.

All in all these are not deal breakers and I'm sure will be addressed but I would have liked to have been made aware of them.

To end on a positive note, we forgot a pillow and I texted the housekeeper and she responded immediately that she would ship it. That was greatly appreciated.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the issues, I was in communication with this guest all during the week they were there regarding questions and such. It was an extremely humid week and on Tuesday, the guest reported that while he had set both thermostats to 71 degrees, it was 74 in the house. One of the units had froze up. I had the HVAC company out there Wednesday (the next day) to fix it. Just installed a new Verizon-based WiFi (8/27/2017) which is much faster than our old satellite-based WiFi, so this issue has been resolved. An all new dryer vent was installed on 8/30/2017, so now cloths are drying quickly and this issue has been resolved.
