About the property

Sleeps 6 2 Bedroom 1 Bathroom

Our cabins are in a great location. We are about 15 minutes from Austin, 15 minutes from San Marcos, 45 minutes from New Braunfels and San AntonAio and Fredricksburg are about 1 1/2 hours away. All the cabins have a queen size bed downstairs and a full size bed in the loft. Two of the cabins have an additional daybed with trundle in the loft. The cabins have a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, toaster oven and refrigerator. Also there is a fireplace and television. The deck is spacious and has a table and chairs as well as a rocker, to sit and enjoy watching the birds and other wildlife. The creek is clear and beautiful and full of fish. Canoes are available for the guests to enjoy. There are also fire rings to roast hot dogs or make smores. Our location is great, you feel like you are out in the country and yet in 5 minutes you can be on I.H. 35 heading for Austin, New Braunfels, and San Antonio. Circuit of the Americas is 15 minutes away. Buda has a old town feel with quaint shops on Main Street. We also have some great places to eat and live music venues. Buda is also home to Cabelas and the famous Weiner Dog races in April. The cabins are a great place for family get togethers and we love kids!!

A little gem at the footsteps of Buda Texas

  • 5 of 5

We came to central Texas for a rugby tournament with my sons team. I decided we would make a little weekend vacation out of the trip. I cannot say how perfect this place was. Our cabin was clean and cozy and nicely decorated with a ranch feel. The property is perfect for a family, we enjoyed watching the emus and a pot bellied pig named digger as they grazed and wondered about their paddock. My son and I took advantage of one of the canoes and paddled down Onion Creek where we saw lots of birds, some fish in the crystal clear water, and some deer. There were lots of deer around, the kids loved it. My kids had a blast playing on the grounds, climbing trees and exploring all the outdoors. We can't wait to come back in the summer for a swim in the creek and some grilling on the fire pits. I highly recommend a stay if you just want a getaway or have business in the area. It sure beats a hotel.

While we were here the owner, Denise, put up some stockings above the fire place for my kids, it was such a kind and thoughtful thing to do. We will be back!

Peaceful cabin by the river

  • 3 of 5

Close to town, but away from it all. Comfortable cabin with room to enjoy the outdoors. Loft has two beds but the stairs are steep so be mindful of that for small children or elderly people. Nice comfortable bed downstairs in an open area. Nice bathroom with full size tub and shower. Nice back porch to sit on and enjoy a cup of coffee while you watch birds. Out the front door there are deer, emu, a pot bellied pig and more birds. There is a microwave, refrigerator and coffeepot. Outside there is a grill if you want to cook something. Very peaceful and we heard kids swimming in the river several cabins away.

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this property. We spent a few nights here as part of our family vacation. We had everything we needed. I felt like the property layout and amenities were well thought out for function and convenience. We loved being on the water and being able to fish within a short distance. The property had canoes available which were a plus. Would definitely return again, the hosts were very gracious and accommodating.

Very Nice Rental

  • 5 of 5

This place was very quiet and a nice get away from the hustle and bustle. Ladder to upper bedroom not easy for older people to get up so keep that in mind if more than two are staying in one unit. Kids would love the ladder though. Definitely would stay again. Loved the animals and sitting by Onion Creek. Thanks so much for the generosity

Small oasis in Texas

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in this neat property. We arrived having driven by big box stores and highways and were super excited to be greeted by four emus, a heard of deer and a cool little pot bellied pig named digger. The property is very well kept up. The cabins are pretty, clean and lovingly maintained. The hosts were very kind and attentive. We canoed up and down the river several times and really enjoyed our stay. We never got the chance to check out Buda the town - but I heard a lot of great stuff about it being really cute and authentic. I would highly recommend this property.
