About Becca Oliver

We are a young but large family of seven. My wife and I grew up in California but moved to Colorado shortly after we were married. We love it here and are a very 'outdoorsy' family.

Becca Oliver purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Becca Oliver chose Rocky Mountain National Park

As a family we have been visiting Grand Lake for almost 10 years. After many visits, we finally decided to buy a cabin here. We looked for about 3 years and finally found the place that was perfect for us. A cabin with balconies, great view and lots of land for our kids to enjoy. There is so much to do on the property and within walking distance. That is what we love the most about this place. We find Grand Lake very relaxing and it provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of life. We learned a great deal about vacation rentals in Grand Lake over the past 10 years as we were the renters. We always made mental notes of what we liked and what we didn't. We have done our best to set up this rental to include everything we liked and nothing we didn't.

What makes this cabin unique

Honestly, I have not seen a place like this in the mountains. We have a huge, beautiful yard with a firepit, horseshoe pit, swings for the little ones, porch swings facing the lake, and two beautiful decks. Inside it is almost 2 separate dwelling places. Perfect for multiple smaller families. We have tried make sure it has all of the comforts of home. Come stay with us ;)

Beautiful Property- all the amenities

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful property in Grand Lake- plenty of room for a large family/ multipe families. Hot tub was amazing, and was clean when we arrived- and was then serviced 2 days in. Spotless home, lots of games, basketball, fully stocked kitchen, fooseball table. Secret bunk room that will win over any kiddo's heart. The owner was cordial and called to make sure we were set after we arrived.

Great location with a fabulous view of the lake. We were so happy with the house, plan to go back!

  • 5 of 5

The location was perfect and the house was immaculate. The Olivers were very accommodating; they went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience in Grand Lake. The little town of Grand Lake is welcoming with lots of cute shops and places to eat. We drove through RMNP one day and did lots of hiking (so many great trails to pick from) and fly fishing the rest of the days. We had our adult children join us over the weekends and there was plenty of room for all. We enjoyed the fire pit and had fun making smores. This house would be great for people with young children, as they had lots of games and bunks in a secret hide-away spot!

The weather was perfect (we were there mid-late September) and the aspen trees were in full fall color, it was breathtaking looking at the lakes with the mountains in the background. We plan to go back in the winter and do some of the activities that season has to offer.

  • 5 of 5

The location was great for us. Convenient to everything we needed & wanted . This was our 5th Annual National Park getaway with other family members from other states. Our time together in the house created some special memories. The house was just the right size & great to come back to for relaxing and enjoy each other's company . Loved Colorado !

the property was everything we hoped it would be and more

we had a family 'gatherup' with all our children and grandchilren which is hard to plan and pull-off and were truly thrilled with the oliver cabin and our laborday experience. the home was very well supplied with incidentals and very clean and ready for quests. the olivers were available at all times for help with questiions and needs and truly a help making the stay a success. we all felt like it was a destination the whole family could enjoy yearround if it was ours. private living spaces, great decks with lake and mountain views, a great yard for family games and firepit for evening enjoyment, a hotub for relaxing after a busy day, and what we dubbed the mini-chalet for the couple that wants away from the crowd. thankyou olivers and we hope to spend future times in your lovely mountain get-away...the caldwell family,,,nebr/colo/az

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family and I (15 total) stayed there for a week in August. It was fantastic. It was in very close proximity to attractions (Grand Lake, Lake Granby, Hot Springs, Winter Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, etc.), but far enough away to have privacy. It was a bit tight with our 15 people, but we made it work. The homeowners were very attentive to our needs and went out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. The house has beautiful vaulted ceilings and has a great view of the mountains. It was just the vacation I needed away from work and the hustle and bustle of every day life!

At the western edge of Rocky Mountain National Park sits the historic town of Grand Lake, Colorado. It is a town where one steps back into time, where the store owners proudly manage their businesses, and greet visitors every day from their western boardwalk storefronts. It is home to fabulous dining, overseen by local restaurateurs, and designed to give visitors the optimal dining experience. Grand Lake is a town that buzzes to life at night; live music resonates from local lodges and saloons beckoning patrons inside for premiere entertainment. It is a place that houses the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, and frequent festivals and parades.

It is where nature grabs your soul, and visitors understand the feeling of being able to really breathe again here. Its namesake, Grand Lake, is the deepest natural lake in Colorado, dipping to 265 feet. Fed by high mountain runoff, the lake is clear and pristine. Home to the Colorado River Headwaters, streams and rivers snake through the area, inviting you to fish and hike along their waters. In the spring watch the wildlife emerge from Rocky Mountain National Park, cow moose and their young calves toddle across our local streets. In the summer months visitors can explore the lake by boat, kayak, and even paddle boards. Horseback riding, ATVs, and cycling opportunities are as plentiful in the area as the trout are in our waters. Golf, hot air balloon, and live your dreams here.

Winter also invites visitors to play in Grand Lake’s winter wonderland. Grand Lake is the “Snowmobile Capital of Colorado,” with over 125 miles of groomed trails. Cross Country ski, ice fish, create a snowman, and watch snowflakes peacefully fall to the ground and build upon gathering snow. A thriving creative community is alive in Grand Lake; local artists and galleries are must-sees! Grand Lake invites you to our home, full of year round stunning natural beauty, and the opportunity to actualize what you only dreamed existed. Welcome to Grand Lake, Colorado.
