About Bob & Cynthia

I purchased this home many years ago with my mother, and we enjoyed it very much over the years. My wife (Cynthia) and I (Bob) hope that you and your family experience it as a fun and inspiring family retreat.

In the photo are my wife and I after an invigorating round of cross-country skiing! Highly recommended!!

Our very best!

Bob & Cynthia

Bob & Cynthia purchased this house in 1995

Why Bob & Cynthia chose Flathead Lake

As a youngster, I dreamed of owning a million acre ranch with millions of cattle, next to mountains as high as the sky, and crossed by rivers with all sorts of monsters in it. Okay, I was a kid with an active imagination. But through the years, I have wanted to own land and a home in a special and lovely place. I was fortunate to get that opportunity in the summer of 1995 when I traveled with my mother to Montana to see if that special and lovely place could be found. The thing about Montana is that just about everywhere you look has an amazing and eye-capturing quality, so even on a limited budget we were not short of homes to consider. Nice people, charming towns, and beautiful views abounded. But at the first moment I walked into my Echo Lake home, that was it. You will know what I mean the first moment you walk into the home, as well. A sparkling island dotted lake sprawled out in front of me with a mountain range draped in patches of white clouds and orange reflections of sunlight as an immediate backdrop. That was it, I knew I had found that lovely and special place which I would keep in my life and with my family forever. Our affection for this attractive and comfortable home, and its compelling surroundings, has grown even stronger over the years. And, for me, is a dream come true.

What makes this house unique

Warm water lake (most lakes in Montana are quite cold!), stunningly beautiful setting, quite abundant in largemouth bass (for viewing from dock and fishing), wildlife visitors of all sorts come by the home (fox, goose, squirrel, deer, turkeys), recreational lake...lots of fun!

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Enjoyed our stay once again only time went by all too fast. This is a great location. The beauty on this lake is fantastic. Thanks for the use of your place."

Owner note: On the mobile app, a rating of five stars is indicated. While I love five star ratings, the guestbook from where the comments were taken does not have a "star system." Frankly, I do not know why on the mobile app a rating of five stars is automatically generated; in fact, the guestbook provides comments but not any stars.

A bite of heaven.

First, it was great working with Denise, the property manager. While the home looks a bit rustic at first glance, the interior is spotless, the beds comfy, a great outside grill and a kitchen stocked with all the utensils you will ever need. Now...the real SPECIAL part of this vacation home...the VIEW from the deck overlooking an absolutely gorgeous lake. We where primarily interested in fishing for largemouth bass (catch and release) in Echo Lake. While the fishing was slow, we did land two huge largemouth bass and three Northern Pike. Just being on the lake was sweet and the fish an extra. The boat dock was perfect for a boat we rented from Wild Wave Boat Rentals. We created some great memories and we'll definitely return to this lakeshore home to forget about work and enjoy the beauty and serenity of Echo Lake. Can't wait!
