"La Dolce Vita" is your tropical oasis--nestled in a cove of velvety white sand and pristine turquoise water. The beach is several miles long and protected at both ends by bluffs which offer protection from the elements while the reef only a mile offshore calms the water so that it gently laps at the beach.
There are only three houses on the whole bay and so you can expect to have seclusion and privacy throughout your stay. The water is calm, with the soft sand providing a gentle and gradual entry into the ocean, making it perfect for families to spend time together either building sandcastles or wading out to the snorkeling. This is one of the few places in the islands where you can expect to see the schools of large bonefish that the islands are famous for, right from the beach at your back door.
This newly constructed Mediterranean inspired luxury villa was built with attention to every detail. The large and luxuriously appointed indoor spaces connect to a large deck area where high quality lounge furniture surrounds a 50+ ft. infinity pool. There are both indoor and outdoor dining areas suitable for an outdoor breakfast, cocktails in the evening, or for casual dining for your whole party while gazing over the pool area to the beautiful ocean beyond.
This 5000 square foot, oceanfront home sits on approximately one acre of a pristine cove and is newly furnished with imported designer furniture that matches the elegance and ambience of the location. Along with typical modern conveniences, Pumpkin Bluff affords spectacular panoramic vistas beyond your secluded, undeveloped white sand beach. Three Mary Cay is visible to the West and the "Conspicuous Wreck" looms directly offshore on the barrier reef.
"La Dolce Vita" is comprised of three separate buildings, creating a lush courtyard with fountains and abounding ocean views. All are constructed in the Mediterranean style with white stucco exterior, and clay tile roof. The stamped, natural slate-patterned driveway leads to two pergolas for shaded parking.
The main building is two stories, with each floor having a large covered porch. Entertain on the first floor with a fully appointed kitchen, including custom-crafted cherry cabinetry with ceramic tile inlay, and granite countertops. An open dining room and great room lead to the 16' x 50' ceramic tiled pool with infinity edge. An attached 12' x 16' shallow wading area is perfect for lounge chairs and the beverage of your choice from the poolside wet bar. The great room has a built-in entertainment center including an ever growing DVD library, a docking station, and wine bar. The second floor is a master suite with wet bar, king size bed and full bath. The second floor balcony offers spectacular panoramic views.
A second detached master suite has its own complete kitchen, a luxury bathroom with a corner Jacuzzi tub, shower, walk-in closet, and custom cherry double vanity and linen cabinets. It also boasts a king size bed with HD TV and a stereo docking station. This master suite is positioned to maximize the ocean and courtyard views while affording complete privacy when desired.
The guest house contains two bedrooms with queen size beds, a shared full bath, and a laundry. The entire complex is conditioned by separate AC units for individual comfort and plenty of windows allow maximum light and opportunity to enjoy the tropical island breeze. With the exception of a hardwood floor in the second story area, all interior floors and showers are pattern-inlaid travertine. Ceramic tile graces all exterior porches and walkways.
North and Middle Caicos remain one of few unspoiled and undeveloped getaways yet offer some amenities such as grocery stores and restaurants. The friendly locals are always happy to offer advice and welcome visitors. Transport to and from the ferry is provided for your group and the villa comes with a jeep for your use and to explore the islands with.
In order to ensure that the accommodations remain impeccably clean, we do not allow any pets or smoking inside at any time.
North Caicos Facts
North Caicos is the lushest of all the Turks and Caicos Islands. Blessed with the same world-class white sandy beaches as its neighbors, it is evolving as a 'getaway' from the more developed island of Providenciales. North Caicos is separated from its nearest neighbor, the exclusive Parrot Cay, by a 300 meter channel. Parrot Cay is home to the retreats of mega-celebrities like Bruce Willis, Christie Brinkley, Keith Richards, and Donna Karan.
The 30 square mile haven of North Caicos is situated 12 miles northeast of the island of Providenciales (referred to as "Provo" by the locals.) and is easily accessible via regular ferry service. The population of around 1,400 people mostly lives in the settlements of Bottle Creek, Whitby, Kew and Sandy Point. North Caicos is bordered by the third largest barrier reef in the world. The pristine waters offer unsurpassed snorkeling and diving. North Caicos also boasts the largest flock of Pink Flamingo in the islands. These graceful creatures can be observed regularly at Flamingo Pond and Mud Hole Pond.

We stayed on North Caicos for 1 week, looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation. This was perfect! The house was amazing and the location and views were spectacular. Kevin was extremely helpful in preparing us for a week on the island as well as recommending taxis and ferry information. We had access to a vehicle, which made it convenient to explore both North and Middle Caicos. He checked in with us several times during the week to make sure everything was ok. We really enjoyed our week at the house and would definitely consider returning again. It was an awesome experience!
Our family (5 adults) stayed here for Christmas week and had an all around great time! The house is beautiful! The way it is organized, everyone has a private space and there is plenty of room to gather together as well. We love to cook, and found the kitchen had everything we needed. The jeep was a very nice perk as we were able to venture out at will to shop or grab a bite to eat around the island. Kevin, the owner, was very thorough and helpful in all of his communication with us.
The most special thing about this house is the location. We have stayed on North Caicos before - but this spot was the best yet! Walked for miles on the most beautiful white sand beaches without seeing another person! My husband and son snorkeled right off the beach and saw lots of fish and a huge stingray! The pool was a great size, looking right out into the ocean. Sometimes North Caicos can be a bit "buggy", but we had no troubles this time around.
North Caicos can be a bit challenging to navigate, but we feel like we have a great system. We fly into Provo, get a taxi and then stop at the Graceway IGA to stock up on groceries. We call ahead to the Wine Cellar and they deliver our order to the ferry dock. Then we usually charter a private shuttle through Catch the Waves Charter, (but the public charter is nice too- you just have to fit your trip into their schedule). From there, Kevin arranged transport to the house. We have traveled to this island several times now - and this wonderful house made the whole week one to remember!
A one week rental with the family -- 6 adults and 2 little ones. A great location on a very secluded, pristine beach. Great if one is looking for down time. Home very well furnished and maintained. Property manager most helpful. Coordinating getting to North Caicos from Provo requires thought. Be careful to coordinate airline arrivals and departures with the ferry schedule. Great time. Great bone fishing.
We rented this house for a week and had a fantastic time. We were celebrating a special birthday for my wife and planned a surprise getaway with our three adult kids (and grandchild). Fortunately for us, the houses on either side of us were empty for the week so we had 3 miles of white sandy beach to ourselves. Walks in the morning with our coffee looking to see what washed up on the beach, snorkeling around the reef or casting a fishing rod during the day and just relaxing by the pool in the evening provided the perfect setting. Spectacular sun rises and sunsets along with star gazing later in the evening were reasons to jump up in the morning and stay up most of the night.
We had a chance to stop at a couple of the local restaurants and the food was surprisingly good. Calling ahead was given new meaning when we found out that you actually had to call the restaurants by noon and order your meal then. It was well worth it, the food was great. We even had a night of pizza where one of the locals "went off" menu and made about 8 pizzas for us.
The majority of us never left the property. When we did, we either left for dining out a couple nights or replenishing the spirit waters that seemed to flow amply throughout the day. Grocery stores were nearby and we became a bit of a spectacle when we left with 3 shopping carts full of food the first day.
The only issue for the week was the "no - see 'ims" which Kevin and Holton warned us about. They are these little tiny fleas (thus the name) and the pack a pretty good bite - somewhat like a mosquito bite. We were all fine until around Wednesday evening when they came out. We found the best remedy was to drink more alcohol...
As some of the other reviews mentioned, if you are looking for tranquility and privacy, this is the place.
Thanks Kevin for renting your home away from home. We traveled with another family for a total of 9 in our party. The main house has the larger kitchen and a master suite upstairs. The middle building has 2 bedrooms and the laundry and the building on the right (in picture) has another master suite with smaller kitchen. Our two smaller kids slept with us in the upstairs master suite and the older kids from the other family slept in the middle building with their parents in the third building. We had a great week. The beach is amazing. Long and secluded. You can snorkel right from shore and see lobsters, conch, stingrays, and lots of colorful fish. Holton is the property manager and was great. We rented a larger vehicle from him for our stay. He is also very knowledgeable about the islands and knows just about everyone. The pool is a little cool as it is not heated but it was great to cool off in when coming off the beach. The place is very clean and has all the comforts of home. You can buy just about everything you need on North Caicos. I emailed 2 grocery stores prior to arrival and asked if they stocked what we had on our list and they did. Dard's grocery is the largest and owned by local school teacher and her husband an engineer. They are both super nice. The ONLY thing you should buy on Provo if you come on a Saturday is bread and Milk (especially if you want 1%) Best days for grocery shopping is Tuesday. Spend your money locally and the next time you come back (and you will come back) it will be even better. Pumpkin Bluff Beach is even better than Grace Bay. Beach combing in the mornings turns up all sorts of treasures!
We had the good fortune to spend a week and ring in 2015 at Villa Docle Vita. If you are looking for a quiet & secluded beach vacation, it doesn't get any better than this property. During the entire week we only saw a handful of people on the beach, so it really feels like you have miles of your own private beach. Our group had 6 adults and 4 kids under 5 years of age, and we all had a ball. The house is immaculate and well equipped with all the modern amenities, which made our stay all the more comfortable. The rooms are large and detached from each other, which was nice as it allowed the families private time after a day at the beach. Kevin Styles, the home owner, gave us a 100% accurate description of the home and island, so nothing caught us off guard or came as a surprise. A jeep rental is a must because there's nothing around the house, with the closest restaurant about a mile away. There aren't too many restaurants on North Caicos, so stocking up the house with ample provisions is a MUST. There are a few stores on the island, so shopping for the basics (produce, meats, fruit, canned foods) isn't an issue. There are a couple of well stocked alcohol stores, though be warned that booze on North Caicos is slightly expensive. We picked up bottles from Duty Free, which was a good decision. It's important to carry lots of bug spray as the sand flies are bothersome, especially in the evenings. Holton, the house manager, lives close by and checked in on us many times during the week.
This is truly a beautiful property and if you're looking for a privacy, beach, sun and some R&R, it doesn't get any better than this home.
