The cabin was wonderful. We all truly enjoyed our stay and the cabin’s ambiance.
A nice rustic getawy near Gaylord
This worked well for us. We came up north for a skiing weekend, and Rokko's place worked well. Gaylord was close enough to run in for meals, and the cabin was a good fit for what we wanted.
Snowy Overnight in Gaylord
We ended up booking a last minute overnight stay at this property so we could show our international guest snow for the first time. Even though we didn’t book until the night before Rokko was still able to let us check in early so we could maximize our brief stay up north.
The cabin had plenty of room and everything we needed. Communication with the host was great and we were greeted when we arrived so we could get familiar with the property. We spent some time walking the nearby trails and got to enjoy the woods and lakes surrounding the cabin. While out enjoying the property we were also able to meet one of the neighbors who was extremely friendly.
Overall we had a great stay and look forward to staying again if we find ourselves in the area.
Quiet and Secluded but close to town
This place is SO cozy! It had everything we needed for the weekend and as a family of 6, that could sound like a lot. It slept everyone comfortably and had plenty of space on the property for our 4 older children to wander. I can't say enough good things about the owner and the property so I will just say book the stay. You won't be disappointed!
It was great to have you visit! Come back soon!
Cute cabin in a beautiful setting surrounded by a small lake and ponds. The cabin in definitely cabin style and a bit rustic. The fireplace is wonderful and it was great cozying up in front of it!
Stay from 11-28 to 11-30- 2019
Being empty nesters and our grown boys off to their in-law’s for the holiday, my best friend (of 46 yrs ) and I decided to get away with our husbands and rent a cabin for the holiday wkend.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the woods, we hiked their property, and also did an all day hike on the Jordan Valley Pathway( great hike) which was only about 20 - 30 min drive from the cabin.
Rokko and his brother Tj were very helpful getting us familiar with the place.
We were very glad to be able to bring our dogs. If our dogs can cone , we don’t go. There were a couple of their dogs that welcomed us as well, yes they barked at us, but it would be rude of them ( the dogs) not to say hello and let our dogs know know who they were ( very friendly)
Rokko was also VERY generous about our check in and out times. We appreciated being able to come earlier on our arrival day ( Thanksgiving Day) and then check out later on Saturday, THAT was great, because after hiking all day the day before we were all a little tired and sore.
We would definitely recommend staying here. It was a great time
***One thing I would add to the binder of information is a phone and address of a vet near by, in case something happens to one’s beloved pet. Just a suggestion
Thank you for our stay
It was great to have you and the pets here! I like your idea of adding a vet phone number/address to the binder; I'll do that today!
Hope you can come back soon.
