Located on the 2nd floor of 'Hôtel de Larguillière' (Former Private Mansion of Nicolas de Larguilliere, great painter during the reigns of Louis XIV, the Regency and Louis XV).
This street, which is one of the oldest in PARIS, derives its name from the military and religious order of the Knights Templar. As far as is known, the earliest deed relating to this house with its elegant façade, is dated 25 July 1665. It is a Contract of Exchange between Charles Rigaut, Baron of Veuilly, King’s Counsellor, and Pierre Symonet, one of the bourgeoisie of Paris. Around 1690, the residence had a famous proprietor in the person of Nicolas De Larguillière (1656-1746), a great painter during the reigns of Louis XIV, the Regency and Louis XV.
Can't beat the rate! Charming, spacious, completely renovated, perfect for a couple with friends or small family.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor (2 floors above the ground floor), without an elevator. In the heart of the Marais, Rue du Temple.
Lively street, vibrant nightlife, great shopping and restaurants abound.
Only few minutes walk either South to the historic Ile St. Louis, North to the Picasso Museum, West to Beaubourg/Les Halles or East to the beautiful, historic Place des Vosges. Very conveniently located close to 2 metro lines (station 'Hotel de Ville' on Line 1, or station 'Rambuteau' on line 11, and the big 'Chatelet-Les Halles' public transportation hub, where you can hop on the 'RER' train which goes to CDG airport). Most of historic Paris is within a 20 minute radius on foot.
Apartment is located in a 'hotel particulier' (formerly 'private mansions', also origin of word 'hotel') that has just been remodeled and split into apartments.

Location! Location! Location! This is not the most luxurious property in Paris, but definitely one of the best located. I buy primarily based on location, and this one is a prime central location close to sightseeing, dining, nightlife, shopping!
Conveniently located, clean, in the heart of Marais, safe building. Owner was easy to communicate with, very pleasant stay. Will stay here again! But PLEASE replace the cushions on the sofas as they all lean forward so you feel like you are sliding away, LOL!
The apartment was spacious and lovely, and in an excellent location.
The manager, Antoine, was very easy to work with and great with communication.
I would recommend this place to a friend with no hesitation.
What a happy discovery this was! We have stayed in other rentals in the Marais but this was by far the best of them. The apartment is bright and relatively spacious, with quiet bedrooms in the back. The location is outstanding. There are all sorts of cafés, bistros, bakeries, wine shops, etc. etc. all within a couple of blocks. It was a treat to visit these small shops and then cook dinners in the apartment some nights. It is also very well located for walking tours of the Marais and Ile de la Cité. For longer trips there is a Metro stop conveniently located a couple of blocks away. We absolutely loved this apartment, and the very helpful caretaker, M. Stellio. We will very definitely be staying here on future trips to Paris.
Hi Antoine, just a message to say how much we loved your apartment. Even though we were running late due to delays at the airport then getting off at the wrong train station!, M. Stellio was very welcoming and helpful. Instructions for entry were perfect. The place is brilliantly located, beautifully decorated/ furnished and well equipped. It is also a really good size, albeit our only "complaint" was the very small bedroom with the double bed. Not really an issue though, the other bedroom with the bunk beds was perfect for our 2 boys. Would highly recommend this as a perfect base for a couple or for a family for exploring Paris.
My sister and I spent a week at this place. We really enjoyed most of it.
We enjoyed being in such a great location, close to restaurants and the museums.
We would totally recommend this to future visitors.
Short walk to Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville, Pompidou Center, Chatelet, Les Halles, Picasso Museum, Musée Carnavalet, Place des Vosges, Victor Hugo Museum, the Bastille and Hotel de Sully...
