Great location, terrific pool...some limitations

Great location. Pool area was terrific. Unit was clean and well decorated. Limitations..second floor bedroom is clearly a loft not bedroom, guest bath on first floor, no central air/heat (window air units only), noise generated from floor above.

Perfect Location!

We spent a month here and thoroughly enjoyed every day. The pictures are exactly as the unit is presented. It was very clean and well socked with basic supplies. The condo felt safe with a well locked entrance and private parking. Walking to everything was a highlight of our trip. The wharf is blocks away, fabulous restaurants are all within walking distance, Duval Street is a short distance, and a fantastic seafood market is a block down the street. We ate in the condo many nights experimenting with new fish varieties. Our only concern was the air conditioner in the master bedroom which blew air directly onto the bed. We will return, the condo is perfect for two couples.

Less than portrayed

Great location; dated photos.

Do not expect the guest bathroom to be near the guest bedroom, as you may assume from these photos. It is on the first floor through the livingroom and at the end of the kitchen with an open louver door!

The TV and stand are not as pictured...and the deteriorating present TV hutch allows viewing from only one loveseat...livingroom furniture is different than pictured. There are noisey wall- unit air conditioners in the livingroom and master bedroom (right next to the bed), but not even a fan in the second bedroom. The patio greenery pictured, which would have provided privacy from those walking through the parking area and up the open stairwell (directly above part of the patio), is no more! Therefore, those coming and going have a direct view through the patio (main entrance) doors, which you will note have no shades, allowing the 24/7 deck lights to shine into the loft bedroom all night.

Some of the things advertised were replaced (3 bikes-boys- and an iron) by the rental manager, who--in all fairness--had no idea that they were missing or offered on at least 2 different vacation rental sites.

The condo was sold during our stay, and I did leave a list of concerns about the lack of cups, cereal/soup bowls and general cooking utensils, knobs that fell off all of the master bath and guest bureau drawers. 90-91 degree pool temperature--easy fixes-- with the manager. Perhaps some of these areas are already corrected.

For the cost of this rental, one would expect a more functional and private unit....and many do exist in wonderful Key West .We did not let the lack of function ruin our month, but we did go to the beach everyday where we could find refreshing water temp and ate out almost every meal. We did not intend to do either of these things when we rented when we rented fully intending to cook in or grill (not permitted due to wooden decks, although we had an email stating a gas grill came with the building. (These activities added greatly to financing the rental)

I would not recommend this rental for 2 couples who need ANY privacy, either in the guest bedroom with its cutout walls or in the guest bathroom with its open louvered door at the end of the kitchen.

Key West is A MUST for a many good experiences; unfortunately, this rental was not one of them.

Old Town Key West is a magical place where you will feel instantly relaxed and welcomed by the warm nature of the locals and you won't need more than a bicycle to get around.

Early Season and Season Bookings
Arrival: 1st Day of Month / Depart: Last Day of Month

We reserve the right to deny requested dates if they decrease the optimum booking layout for the property's calendar.

All guests must be at least 25 years of age to be considered. All guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Spring break groups are prohibited and eviction strictly enforced with no refund.

A booking fee will be added to each reservation.

A non-refundable and non-taxable security deposit insurance premium at a flat rate of $45.00 will be added to each reservation as an alternative to a full security deposit. This policy covers up to $3000.00 worth of accidental damages.

50% is due upon reservation with the balance due 60 days prior to arrival.

Guests are strictly prohibited from hosting a party or event at the rental property without written permission from our company.

***We highly recommend waiting to book flights until you have fully secured a reservation; meaning you have received the email confirmation and have made your deposit payment.
