|Minimum Stay||30 nights|
Sophie's Cabin is near the Blue Ridge Parkway and only 10 minutes from downtown, Biltmore Estate, and within walking distance of trails, river, Folk Art Center, and dog park.
Enjoy soaking in the hot tub or sitting in the rockers while watching the sunset. There is a large fenced in yard for your dog. The master bedroom has a king bed and an adjoining full bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed and full bath.
There is a fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV with streaming Netflix, washer/dryer, gas grill, A/C, and many more amenities.
Sophie's Cabin is so convenient to downtown and many of the attractions of Asheville, yet has that feeling of being out in the country.
I have lived in Asheville for 20 years and love the mountains and trails that surround the city. Downtown has gone through an amazing transition, with wonderful restaurants, galleries, shops and more. Most of my adult life I have been a trail runner and love the near by Mountain to Sea trail and Bent Creek area. I am a massage therapist, caregiver, and own a couple of cabins. My passions are traveling, hiking, swimming, biking and yoga. When we moved here I also found my creative side in weaving on a loom.
Nancy Richards purchased this cabin in 2001
We built this cabin in 2001 and love the convenient location to trails, Blue Ridge Parkway, and downtown.
Beautiful sunsets from the deck!
Staying at Sophie'a cabin was an excellent experience! Had all the features we were looking for: cozy cabin in mountain setting yet very close to everything we wanted to do. Nancy was easy to work with, responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!
I couldn't have asked for a better place. Perfect for us four adults and four legged friend. Our pup loved the huge fenced in yard. The cabin was close to downtown, clean and had everything we needed
We spent some time in Asheville for a long weekend right after Christmas. There was ample space for myself, husband, teenage son, adult daughter and her boyfriend, and our two dogs. I have learned over the past year or so that while many rentals say they are "pet friendly", what they really mean is "pet tolerant". This beautiful cabin was a comfortable, clean, cozy location for all members of our family, even the four legged ones. I felt more like we were visiting at a friend's home instead of staying in a rental. There are multiple welcoming touches like fresh bread and hand made soaps. Towels specifically for cleaning off dogs who had been enjoying the fenced in yard were placed strategically by a door. Nancy was always quick to respond to any communication. Close to several hot spots, we visited the Biltmore Estate and (thanks to unseasonably warm weather) hiking off the Blue Ridge Parkway. I hope we will have opportunity to visit again, because four days was just not enough!
My fiancé and I had an exquisite time in Asheville and Nancy's property was one of the best highlights. We had all four dogs there that love the yard and we thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous home and hot tub. It was perfectly located close to town but still felt like you were in the wilderness. Thank you again so much Nancy will recommend this home to everyone I know . Thank you so much for having the hot tub and up and ready for us it was beautiful.
After a long drive - walking into Sophie's Hideaway with home baked banana/ blueberry bread waiting for us and a nice note from the owner was so appreciated. So much to appreciate - a big comfy bed, a really well stocked kitchen, a hot tub on the front porch and mountain views yet only 10 minutes to downtown. And so dog friendly with treats, towels and a fenced in yard.
We've stayed many places in Asheville and this is my new favorite. We'll be back in the spring.
