Amazing space

  • 5 of 5

While I drive back and forth through the lakes it's always been a place in the middle as we head to the coast or back home again, this was our first time to actually stay.

We couldn't have chosen a better property to spend Father's Day weekend with my kids, husband and parents. The home is very conducive to extended groups. With a massive master we were able to toss the queen blow up in the closet on the floor and have our young kids sleep with us (such a nice option if you've got young kids/ones that get a little freaked out in a strange environment. The master also has a fold down couch in front of the window that allow you to stretch out and read/relax while staring at the stunning lake view. The 2nd front bedroom is a nice size and also has pretty lake views. The 3rd bedroom is a decent size and would work well for another couple even.

The remainder of the home is one large open space fronted with stunning lake views, it feels even larger than it is (although it is a large space to being with). The kitchen layout is easily fits multiple people working together, a true plus on vacation with family.

The fact that the owners also allow you to use their kayak's to explore the lake is a super bonus feature!

This house does have a lot of stairs so I would not recommend it for those who struggle with stairs. On the upside, once you're up them the home is completely flat inside so if you plan to just stay in and enjoy the view it could be manageable.

Owner's Response: Hi Ester, we are glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay and the beautiful views at Eagle's Nest! We sometimes have guests that don't thoroughly clean pots and pans and put them away themselves. I will remind our cleaners to check the cupboards each time they clean. Appreciate the feedback. Regards, Dave and Christy

Great location, tons of room, and a great view.

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the Eagle's Nest. We have stayed at both this property and the smaller property and love the location and the beautiful view. We had several family members with us this trip and we all felt that there was plenty of room inside and out on the deck. The kitchen is fully equipped and the basics are there which is nice. It is challenging to get up there because there is a steep hill and it is difficult to turn around and enter the driveway but we got used to it quickly. My only negatives were that we couldn't find any towels to dry dishes with (there was only small one) and the bedding and pillows are in need of some updating. Overall, this is a great value and very nice property with beautiful views of Clearlake Oaks and Konocti. I would enjoy staying her again.

Owner's Response: We are glad that you enjoyed the home and views. Appreciate the feedback, we will have our cleaners address your suggestions. We do have more dish towels in one of the kitchen drawers. Suggest using the turn-about on the side of the property which makes getting in and out of the driveway easy. Hope to have you back again in the future. Regards, Dave and Christy

Quiet spot with a SPECTACULAR view

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay for our friends' wedding in Lucerne. Spacious living area was more than enough space for our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. Nicely appointed and convenient to either end of Clear Lake. Only drawback was the steep dirt road and tight switchback turn into the driveway at the house. Once we got there, though, the view made it all worth it!
