4 bedroom (2 master bedrooms - perfect for multiple families), 3 1/2 bath, former model home in one of the most desirable communities in the Bethany Beach area - Bayside at Bethany Lakes. Home was professionally decorated by the top interior design company in the area, Bethany Resort Furnishings and was recently updated with new sofa and love seat, new patio furniture and all new state-of-the art electronics. In addition, new carpet was installed throughout entire house for 2015 season. Home has 5 Plasma/LCD TV's, BlueRay Player, 2 DVD Players, XBox 360, Keurig coffee maker, high-speed WIFI and iPod dock. Bikes, beach toys and baby Pack'n Play included. Home is just a short walk to the beautiful clubhouse that has indoor pool, game room and huge outdoor pool overlooking bay, tennis courts and playground. Game room is great for playing pool, Foosball, table tennis or arcade games. Even if there is a rainy day, the kids will be completely entertained!
Home is pet friendly for well behaved dogs.

James Farm Ecological Preserve is a very, very short 1.4 mile walk/drive and right down the street from our home. It has a free, public beach that is pet friendly 365 days/year! Since it is on the bayside, it is very calm and the water is very shallow. Perfect for little ones.
We also have a great sit-on kayak available for rent. Whites Creek is an absolute fantastic river and just out our "back-door". Kayak storage and launch is only a short walk from our home. Rental rates are $95 for the entire time of your stay. Additional kayaks are available from outside 3rd party and rates range from $125/week to $175. Please let me know if you are interested.

My goal is for our guests to fall in love with our home and come back year-after-year. We take guest satisfaction very seriously and will do whatever it takes to make that happen. We purchased this home as our vacation property and absolutely fell in love with the quiet beaches of Bethany. We used it as our second home for years but just recently decided to rent due to my work schedule where I travel most summers. We hope you enjoy our home as much as our family does!

Wonderful getaway spot!
Staying here for an extended weekend was wonderful. Beautifully decorated, very clean, and had everything we needed. A quick 5-10 minute car ride and you're in downtown Bethany! The community pier had beautiful views. Overall, our stay was great and we would absolutely stay again.
Comfortable townhome in a nice development
We enjoyed our time here and loved that we were within walking distance of the clubhouse and it's pools and playroom. Many a fun evening was spent playing 80s-style video games on the two arcade machines they had. The furniture in the home was very comfortable--no cheap wicker furniture or hard mattresses! The couches are as soft and comfy as they look in the photos, which was great because we spent a lot of time sitting in them just reading and hanging out. The bathrooms on suite were lovely, too.
There were a few more stairs in the home than we were expecting, which was an issue for one of our group who has back/leg problems, but we gave them the main floor bedroom so they only had to navigate stairs from outside to the living room, then living room to kitchen level. The bedrooms on the east side of the house could use some darkening curtains or blinds, and the kitchen was small--sometimes our group split and half ate down in the living room while the other half used the kitchen table. But we made it work and had a nice, relaxing time!
Thank you for staying with us Tchula and your honest review. Feedback like this for my future guests is very important and I appreciate it. I will be buying blackout curtains for the back bedrooms based on your recommendation. Unfortunately, there isn't anything I can do about the stairs other than more clearly describe in the description so that everyone knows that there is a flight of stairs to get into the property and another small set to get to the kitchen/first floor master BR. At least the person with the back/leg problems was able to use the first floor master bedroom which hopefully helped a little. Thanks again for the feedback and looking forward to you staying with us again next year!

Beautiful Townhome but very small
While we loved the location and the fact the home was very clean, we were very disappointed in the size of the unit . The kitchen only seated 6 people, but the advertisement mentions the home sleeping 10 people. The table and chairs in the kitchen took up so much space and did not really fit into the very small space there was for the kitchen already. This made it very difficult to prepare meals and find a place to sit. The living area again, only seated 7 people, but if you have 10 , some will end up on the floor.
We have a family of 6 adults and two children and it was quite cramped for space in the living area and kitchen both.
The advertisement mentions the clubhouse/indoor pool, etc.. But does not mention the extra charge for each person to use this amenity prior to booking. This was an extra expense that we did not expect. Did not appreciate this "hidden cost".
Otherwise, the property was nice and convenient to the beach. Outdoors it was beautifully kept and within a short walk to the pool or the boat dock.
Would stay here again, but not with extended family.
Lovely property, however.....
The home was very nice and met our multi-family needs for our family of 8. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and spacious. While the owners were accommodating, they failed to disclose a serious problem with the home.
This serious and alarming problem was a gas leak. I immediately reported this to the owner and was explained that this was a problem since they purchased the home. Even after the gas to the fireplace was turne off, the problem continued. This is something that could have been addressed in the off-season. Furthermore, it is quite frightening to know that families are paying thousands of dollars ahead not realizing that they are being exposed to these type of life-threatening environmental toxins. We felt that we were mis-led and the property was mis-represented on VRBO'S website. It was a major dis-satisfier for us and unfortunately
will prevent us from renting from this home owner again.
I am very sorry for any inconvenience that you had during your stay. We taking hosting very seriously and make sure that our guests receive incredible hospitality at all times. In fact, this is very upsetting to us as this is the first time in over 5 years of renting our our home that we have EVER received less than 5 out of 5 stars (this is taken from over 33 reviews between HomeAway and other marketing platforms).
Speaking very candidly, I am very surprised by your comments on this review. First, we had guests stay immediately before and after you. Neither of these guests mentioned any problems with the fireplace. In addition, while you were staying at my home, we had 2 separate conversations. At both times, you never showed any serious concern and I find it surprising that now you are bringing these up. At first hint of anything wrong, I immediately sent my local onsite maintenance manager out to the house to address and resolve the problem. He assessed the situation and determined that there wasn't any issue with the fireplace. However to be sure, he turned off the main gas to the home just to be sure. In addition, after you checked out, I had Sharp Energy come out to the house and inspect and they deemed there not to be any problem either.
Again, I am very sorry for your inconvenience. We want all guests to have a great vacation and we are sorry that this problem impeded you in having a great vacation.
This house was amazing. It is spacious and comfortable with beautiful touches. We had plenty of space for our family. The well-maintained community was also a highlight. We cannot wait to go back

Additional information about rental rates
If you choose to use the clubhouse and pools, there is a $30 fee per person/week for anyone over the age of 3 to use the amenities. If you choose to use it on a daily basis, it is $8/day/person. Please stop by clubhouse after you check-in to register and pick-up key fob. Linens (sheets and towels) are optional and cost $195. They are included in rental rate. If you'd like to bring your own, please let me know and I'd be happy to remove from your reservation and deduct from your rate.
