George or Nancy Kinser/Owners purchased this cottage in 2006
It encompasses all Maine has to offer.
Right on the New Meadows River with a dock and deck to sit and watch the wildlife. Fishing is great off the dock. It is near Brunswick with the Bowdoin campus and museums , Bath with the Maine Maritime Musuem, Freeport with many outlets, Boothbay with whale watching trips, and Mt Dessert with Acadia National Park - all within driving distance
We stayed for just over 2 months in 2007 during our transition from our move from California to Maine. This is an ideal cottage if you want to relax and enjoy the scenic view for a few days, a few weeks, or longer! The location is favorable to access the many activities and attractions of mid-coast Maine - ie - Bailey Island, Orr's Island, Bath, the Maine Maritime Museum, Freeport and LL Bean and many others. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and cozy. My husband and I highly recommend this cottage. Recommended for age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway, sight seeing, and romantic getaways.
We had a fantastic time at this property. It was perfect for our family with small children. It was well equipped and comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing with incredible views. The deck was amazing. We couldn't wait to get up every morning to enjoy the view. The owners were very nice and a pleasure to work with. We were sad to leave and can't wait to go back.
Nice Maine Cabin, wonderful views, convenient location. Owners are helpful and friendly.
We had a wonderful time at the Kinser cottage. It was everything we hoped for and more! A roomy cottage with beautiful indoor and outdoor space with a deck overlooking the dock right on the water. Even our teenagers loved it.
We had such a lovely stay here. The owners are lovely and helpful, the rooms are a good size for a cottage, the kitchen is well-equipped and the place has a lovely authentic Maine feel. The deck and the dock were great for entertaining. We hope to be back next year.
The Kinser Cottage is terrific. It was pleasent, cosy, and functional. The morning sunrise views from the deck were incomparable. If you want peace and solitude and great views this is the place. Michel Hersen
My husband and I just stayed at this cottage for a first time Maine experience. We really enjoyed the deck over looking the water and watching the tides change. The cabin is a nice place to come "home" to after a day exploring Maine. We did a day trip each day to come back in the evening and just relax instead of being in a small motel room. We explored Bar Harbor, Bath, Boothbay,Kennebunkport,Freeport,Portland, and Baileys Island and Cook's Corner. Lots of good food (of course Lobster) and two nights just stayed home after a day of shopping and sightseeing and enjoyed a bottle of wine and pasta . We recommend this cottage for those that what the true Maine experience. Nothing fancy but basic and nice.
Well worth the money,
Other Activities: boating, shopping, kayaking, minature golf, health/beauty spa
