A fantastic destination in the heart of Madeira Beach, this comfortable, private, and secure cottage has been completely renovated from the inside-out (Fall 2013). Everything is new and updated, and the location can't be beat.
The cottage is directly across the street from the public beach access (you can see the Gulf from the bedroom window), near several fabulous restaurants and bars, and a quick walk to John's Pass Village. Enjoy a day soaking in the warm Gulf waters, and then relax back at the quiet cottage away from the noise and crowds of the big condo buildings.
Nothing has been overlooked in this beautifully decorated home. The open floor plan gives ample space with plenty of kitchen work area, a spacious living room with new flat screen TV, and dining area for the family. The two bedrooms both have new premium quality Queen beds, and share a center bathroom area with walk-in shower. The full kitchen includes all kitchenware, appliances, dishwasher, microwave, full-size refrigerator as well as coffee maker and blender.
The cottage is complete with free phone, high-speed WiFi Internet service, cable TV, private clothes washer and dryer, and includes two parking spaces. The outside area is safe and spacious, and is equipped with a large picnic table and BBQ grill. Stay for a week or a month. This property is perfect!
We always have a great time at the Sea Cottages. They are perfect for a couple or small family. We love the fact that they are so close to a beautiful beach and the crosswalk is so handy. There are great restaurants close by. Love the library and Dixie grocery being so close also. We are making plans to come back soon.
HAD A WONDERFUL TIME AT THIS VERY WELL LOCATED LITTLE PIECE OF PARIDISE. WALKING DISTENCE TO BEACH, SHOPPING, AND EATERIES. COMING BACK NEXT YEAR. BEST LOCATION TO EVERYTHING.
We really enjoyed our stay at 101 Sea Cottage. The house is cute, clean and efficient and equipped with everything you could ask for except a cheese grater (bring one with you) and charcoal for the BBQ. It feels new and very well maintained. We were surprised and pleased to find beach towels, chairs and a beach umbrella. Even though it was January, we needed it in sunny Madeira Beach. The beach is a very easy walk of about 100 yards. Although you have to cross a street (Gulf Blvd) there is a cross walk with a signal that stops traffic. We felt pampered. Lots of good restaurants and bars within a few blocks and an excellent supermarket and fresh fish market within a mile. There is even a water taxi stop near the market. Night life is active, which is good, but if you are not a fan you may find more nighttime traffic and music than you would otherwise care for. Even so, we loved the cottage and hope to return.
Note to the owners: We would recommend that you build a simple boardwalk (2X4's and PT decking) around back to make using the outdoor water faucet to wash the beach off feet and equipment easier. A clothesline would be nice also.
The cottage was clean and organized. The lock on the door was easy to use, internet was a bit problematic for only a short time. Someone came to fix it immediately. We are grateful for that.
I was surprised at the Jack and Jill bathroom. It was fortunate we were sharing with a family member and not friends.
Can I suggest installing a hand held shower head. It is rather a small stall and difficult to maneuver in it when you are 6' 3" tall and 225 lbs
Appliances in the house were more than adequate. Washer and dryer came in really handy.
There were plenty of kitchen things available.
Loved that the beach was across the street.
Close to many stores including a Walmart and a CVS.
Enjoyed shopping at John's Pass. Got to see dolphins from the boardwalk.
Ft Desoto is a short drive.
We all agreed that the one down side, if there was one, is Bula's Kava/Coffee Bar directly next door. It was open late at night and there were young people talking loudly under our windows after midnight and cars and motorcycles revving . All of that was a touch bothersome but it didn't ruin our stay really.
So overall we were pleased with the entire week.
Thank you for sharing the place at a decent price.
My Mom and I rented the Sea Cottage while my father was recovering from surgery at the Bay Pines VA center. It was only a 6 min drive to the hospital and was easy in and out. The cottage felt like our home away from home. We felt safe and the neighbors were friendly. We will definitely book again next time for vacation.....the cottage is across the street from the Gulf!!
This cottage is just as the pictures are shown. It is very clean, close to the Gulf. The area is very nice. I will book here again next year if I have the opportunity. Thank you for a fabulous week in this cottage!
Property doesn't look too inspiring from the outside but is comfortable, clean and well equipped for a few days at the beach. Really close to the beach 2 minutes across the road and a few mins by car to St Johns Pass for food and bars etc. Food shops/mall/cinema also very close and its a good base for exploring the area. Enjoyed our stay. If you go to the Kava coffe/tea place across from the property avoid the Kava tea unless you enjoy drinking something that tastes like sick - their other options are fine. wifi works but is weak so don't be planning to download any movies.
