No ac

We only stayed one night. The location was perfect. It was a 90 degree day and the night was warm as well. They had a thermostat unit though I didn't realize there was no AC. I discovered there was no AC by calling the company hotline. Even though he advised not to sleep with the window open because it would get to "freezing" temperatures, we slept very well through the night with the windows open and the fans on. Walking up to a crisp mountain air was refreshing. When it came to cleaning up, the trash bags tore...thankfully I had a back up plastic grocery bag to help disorder of our garbage. The customer service was friendly and open. I'm not sure if the price warrants the quality of the place but it worked for the night. I don't think I would stay there long term.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. We would really like to have you back - and maybe lodge you in a different one of our over 300 locations. Just a note for you and the reader: Very few if ANY vacation homes in Big Bear are equipped with A/C. I am glad you learned the trick with open windows at night. It is really refreshing. Hopefully we will see you and yours again very soon!
