We love travelling and exploring new places. Food is our greatest common love! Whether we are at home cooking or going out to a restaurant the whole experience is like our mini adventure.
Natasha and Jeffrey purchased this apartment in 2008
We purchased the property back in 2008 when it was originally a hostel. Immediately after entering the house we saw its potential. The possibilities were endless. Since then we have been renovating and are proud to say we have finally finished and are very happy with the results of the beautiful five boutique apartments we have created.
So close to everything yet still very serene with all the beautiful parks around us. The area gives off a warm feeling as most places are owned by small business owners and every place is very unique.
We enjoyed our stay at this basement suite however the people upstairs were quite loud off and on through out the night. Be prepared that finding somewhere to park is difficult and some people had a issue with us parking in front of their house on lessard street. The internet was slow, there for printer froze up the night we needed permit to park and got a ticket. The bathroom we wish would have had a shelf in the shower for our toiletries. But overall liked our stay other then those issues.
Apartment was clean, bright and well appointed.
The bed and couch were comfortable.
We rented two apartments in the same building for our short stay. This one was the cheaper of the two and was great value.
Having the shared courtyard in the back was great!
The bathroom was spacious with a HUGE shower.
Natasha made some great recommendations for restaurants (all in walking distance). She was always helpful.
It is a basement apartment, with all the amenities I needed for my stay.
Property is clean and well maintained.
Very good location if someone want to be a little bit out of the downtown, but close enough to the subway (6 mins walk)
Very nice neighbourhood, with loads of bar and restaurants not too far away
The owners are very nice and helpful, I would recommend this place as it is great value for a good price
This was a comfortable, clean, very small basement apartment with all the major usual amenities. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom had a small air conditioner, which was very helpful. I chose it because it was a short, pleasant walk to the Old Mill, where I was attending an event. Bloor West is a 7 min walk away with lots of shopping and restaurants, but there are also many good spots even closer along Jane St. There was no kettle in the apartment, as most guests apparently just use the coffee maker, but a cleaner came up with one quickly. The internet and cable worked seamlessly. The chairs next to the table were metal and presumably stylish, but not useful; not only no back support, but no support at all. But I didn't really need them for my short stay. A few very minor additions would make guests more comfortable. There was not a box of tissues in the apartment, and there was one soap dispenser in the washroom which apparently served both basin and shower. A body soap dispenser for the shower, a shelf to put it on and a couple of wash cloths would improve the facility a lot for very little cost. The owners responded quickly and appropriately to messages, and they refunded the cleaning deposit very promptly.
This is a perfect rental suite for a small group that is visiting Toronto. I chose it for its price and proximity to the Old Mill Inn (10 minute walk) and I wasn't disappointed. It has all the amenities that you'd need other than clothes washer and dryer... but there is a coin operated store up the road. It's clean and comfortable.
Location is on a safe street. In fact, it backs on what appears to be some upscale neighbourhoods. Any store that you'd need is within a 20 minute walk.
It is a basement suite and as some other reviewers mentioned, there are some low spots for tall renters. But I'm 6'3" and made it work.
The owners are polite and professional. They answered all my questions within 24 hours.
The suite was clean, comfortable and convenient. Jeffrey and Natasha were available for questions and very helpful. The subway station and shops were a short walk away.
The apartment is in a boutique building located in the area of Bloor West Village, a highly sought after area to the west of the city center. The property is a 7 min walk from the subway which will take you anywhere you want to go in the city. It is in a very clean, safe and friendly neighborhood offering everything a person would need to have a great stay.
Museums, World Class shopping and dining are just a short ride away.
High Park has a small zoo and countless trails to bike and walk or Rollerblade. Take the paths to the lakeshore and cruise to the beach on a bike or just enjoy what the immediate area has to hold. Humber River and the famous Old Mill Inn and spa are just a short walk away.
The shops on Bloor St. are only a short walk away. Vegetable stands, delicatessens, butcher shops, bakeries, and specialty stores for cheeses and other goodies line the street ( great idea if you want to stay in and relax by the television). So many restaurants to choose from can't list them all. (ask for recommendations). Clothing stores owners are friendly and helpful great to buy or browse.
