This turn of the century, rustic four bedroom home has updated amenities while keeping its original floor plan. Located just steps away from town you walk up to the inviting deck which leads you into the warmth of the enclosed sunroom. From here you enter into an open living/dining/kitchen area with original hardwood floors, flat screen television and plenty of room to be comfortable.
On this main level is also the updated kitchen, 2 full baths, one bedroom with a queen bed, a master suite with a queen bed and yet another full bath. Large private deck with outside shower off of the master suite makes it great for morning coffee or your own private entrance.
Upstairs are the other two bedrooms one with two twin beds and the other hosts a queen bed.
This house is fantastic for a large family or a group of friends to enjoy. With such close proximity to Town and the Beaches everyone has the ability to walk everywhere. Wake up early for a sunrise beach walk; grab a cup of coffee and a dozen bagels for your guest. Stroll to dinner and get ice cream afterwards; enjoy the sunset from the lawn at the Atlantic or the deck at Kittens.

This home includes, cleaning, linens, garbage removal and beach supplies. Please note the linens and towels that are included in this rental, are the following: 3 queen set of sheets, & 2 twin sets of sheets, 8 bath towels which include 8 wash clothes and 4 hand towels, as well as, 8 beach towels. If you feel you may need more of any of the linens and towels please contact at your own expense
The Burgess house is on an 6+ acre estate that we share with visiting guests & family. We have been blessed to have such a wonderful and unique family retreat .

Our group has stayed at the Burgess House every September for nearly 20 years. You simply cannot beat the location, the rustic feel, and the very large deck and yard to relax and unwind. There is a second side deck which offers a private and quiet place to relax away from the main flow of the house. The recent upgrades to the kitchen and master bedroom have been great for our large group and we will continue our yearly tradition into the future. If you want space to move around and throw a football or Frisbee, this is the place.
This is a great house and the location, within a short walk to town, is so convenient. There's a beautiful deck and the outdoor shower was wonderful. The house was stocked with everything you might need including beach chairs and umbrellas and the kitchen had everything you might want for cooking.
Whenever we had a question, Daniel was very responsive and helpful. I'd love to stay there again.
This was a great house for what we wanted. Had everything for our family, clean and neat. Close enough to walk to many of the island's restaurants and shops. AC unit upstairs was a plus, but a second one on the first floor would make the house perfect! Loved the outdoor shower, too!
This house was everything my group needed. It's a really close walk to everything downtown and has all the appliances and accommodations for a great vacation. The house itself isn't particularly modern but it has been maintained well. It's clear the owner cares about this property and your experience renting it. Owner is great to talk to and communicated well throughout the stay. Hope to go back next year!
When we arrived at this rental, we were shocked by how little the photos in the posting reflected the state of this house (the photos have been updated since we stayed). The house was not "maintained and updated" and there were no "modern conveniences" as described in the posting. There were only two working bathrooms when we arrived (the third was yet to be installed) and the outdoor shower did not work. Most of the house was filthy, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. The only accurate statement in the house description is that it is an easy walk to everything. However, leaving the house was an issue because the doors did not lock. When concerns were raised to the owner, he promised a refund in the amount of one night's stay. We followed up with him many times, receiving multiple excuses as to why the refund had not been processed. After several attempts to resolve the issue, he simply stopped communicating with us. I do not recommend this rental to anyone!
The Burgess House, Circa 1791 is located on a family Farm with 3 other homes, 5 bungalows and a barn nestled around scenic Mill Pond. We are located in Old Harbor, a 5 Min WALK TO ALL FERRIES, TOWN & THE BEACH. Its the largest and most modern home on the property with strong WiFi, 5 large flatscreens with DirecTV. The home also has a newly renovated Kitchen and first master bedroom with en-suite glass shower, private deck overlooking the pond and an large enclosed outdoor shower.
