Here is your quintessential Cape Cod cottage for a TRUE Cape Cod beach vacation! Renovated in 2010 this cottage is perfect for ALL you want to do on Cape Cod. Maguire’s Landing (aka Lecount Hollow Beach) is right down the street with the sound of the surf and a peek of the ocean from the street. Within 1/4 mile you will find: miles of unspoiled sandy beach, surfcasting for sea bass right off the beach, some of the best surf on the USA east coast, 23 miles of off-road bike trails (access for the Cape Cod Rail Trail is at Lecount Hollow Beach Rd), hiking trails through the Cape Cod National Forest, tidal inlets for kayaking/canoeing, a bakery, the general store, a surf/bike shop…. Everything you want for your perfect beach vacation. This cottage has been dubbed by former occupants and 'THE most romantic cottage ever!' You enter through a screened-in porch to a studio-style cottage with a living area, having ample built-ins for your storage and a wood burning fireplace for those cooler evenings. WiFi and Internet TV (Apple TV) added for 2016.
During the season you will find live theater at 2 locations nightly. Saturday night is ''Gallery Night'' with 26 galleries, openings, and artist receptions. There are formal concerts, coffee houses, and bands playing at different venues throughout the week. Wednesday night you will find people from the ages of 2 - 102 square dancing at the harbor. Wellfleet's summer schedule can fill up the week; chose what you like and leave enough time to relax at any of the 13 public beach areas on the Atlantic Ocean, or Cape Cod Bay.
Off-season you will find a quieter pace, but you can still find great restaurants, cinemas, the Audubon Bird Sanctuary, art galleries, live theater, live music, and the natural beauty of the area which is always here to refresh you.
Owners are members of the Wellfleet Chamber of Commerce.
Guest Reviews: Very clean cottage, so close to the beach that we slept to the sound of the surf. Owners run the Apple Tree Guest House in Wellfleet and so they were helpful with local recommendations. My favorite part was being so close to the beach and IN the Cape Cod National Seashore - what an amazing national treasure of open undeveloped forest and beach! We enjoyed the fireplace for cozy evenings in the cottage. EW/Concord, NH 2011
'An amazing vacation so close to home. Beach, bikes, surf boards - relaxing and fun. The cottage is a perfect efficiency, helpful owners, and CLEAN! We will be back, hopefully next year.' CA/Mansfield, MA 2012
"A note to say the cottage was great - cozy and private with the sound of the ocean down the street! We loved the sights and activities in the area and your suggestions were so helpful!" NG/Columbus, OH 2015

Great location. Accommodations as described.
Great location. Accommodations as described. Off season so many restaurants not open yet- did have to call about hrs as trip advisor had listed as open with actual hrs and many in fact were not ! Beautiful area of National Seashore.
a terrific little cottage close to the ocean beaches
We have been vacationing in Wellfleet almost every year for the past 25 years. We've rented in various places in units big and small. We enjoyed the beach walk cottage best of all. We never rented so close to the ocean. The location within a 5 minute walk to the beach, the airy and bright interior, the screen-enclosed external dining area, and the comfortable accommodations have been excellent. The description written on the website is exactly as it is - cozy, clean, comfortable. It was perfect for us; we will be back again.
The perfect place!
This was my second summer at the cottage..
This was my second year at the cottage, and it was everything I needed to relax and renew.
I cooked in several nights: the kitchen was amply stocked with everything I needed.
I love to walk , and it's location, steps to the Atlantic, provided me with beach walks, everyday, without
having to pack the car.
The location is quiet, cool, and private.
The cottage was clean, and very comfortable, with space to stretch out and relax, and also to sit in the
screened in porch, day or night, and be comfortable.
I used the outside shower every day.
The two ceiling fans kept the cottage cool, even on warm days and nights.
I have my stay reserved for next year, and will be most happy to return.
Thank you Susan and Wes.
The Beach Walk Cottage is one of only 250 homes within the borders of the Cape Cod National Seashore in Wellfleet. Created in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy, the Cape Cod National Seashore consists of 43,500 acres of beaches, ponds, and woods, stretching from Chatham to Provincetown, Massachusetts. The beaches are windswept and the views are spectacular. Nauset Lighthouse provides a perfect New England photo op and Coast Guard Beach was rated one of America’s top ten beaches in 2007. But the Cape is more than just beaches. From well-kept bike trails to hikes through salt marshes, this park offers plenty for the outdoor enthusiast. And for history buffs, there are sites associated with the Pilgrims, Marconi's first transatlantic wireless station, and the Old Harbor Life Saving Station, which witnessed some of the over 1,000 shipwrecks that occurred off the coast from the 18th to 19th centuries.
