Some of the most beautiful beaches and golf courses are right here in our own backyard.

Why Barry Levy chose Plymouth

Property is perfect for being right on a nice clean safe swimmable spring fed lake. Yet the ocean is only a very short distance away.

The association has two lakes for your use, one is non recreational, the other is fully recreational, best of both!

What makes this house unique

Cape Cod Canal is 5 miles away. Great place to go rollerblading, walking, jogging, or just a treat to watch the different ships travel through this waterway as well as the active wildlife.

Great little house on Wall Pond!

  • 4 of 5

We just got back from a great week at Barry's place in Plymouth. The house was very clean and the yard well kept. We had access to the pond and Barry provided all sorts of outdoor gear to use as well. The house was able to accommodate two small families reasonably comfortably, however, the master bedroom was outfitted with a queen sized bed and not a king as described. This was not a big deal, but my husband is a big guy and it would have been a little more comfortable. Additionally the downstairs alcove bed is not a private bedroom as we expected; this is not necessarily clear in the listing, but just be aware that it is part of the common living room area. Aside from these small details the house is perfect and we had a great stay. Barry, the owner, was also super friendly and responsive. Would definitely recommend in the future.

Let me begin with some of the not so favorable things. The house was not as clean as a $100 cleaning fee should warrant. There was sand in the kitchen area and underneath a sofa, visibly apparent, was crackers and paper. The lawn on which we needed to walk to the dock was constantly littered with Canadian Geese feces. The shower in the bath had very poor water pressure. The furniture was below average. The tool shed in which was trash barrels and life jackets, etc. was very messy and crowded. The cable was basic channels without Red Sox availability.

The favorable aspects were many. The property was very attractive. Despite the geese, the back lawn and front lawn were very well maintained. The dock was great for boating and fishing. The pond was loaded with fish. The gas grill worked fine once I realized the auto start did not work. There were beautiful prints on the walls. It was quiet. The owner was easily accessible and he responded very timely. He was also friendly and pleasant. The bed was comfortable. The highway was only ten minutes away.

Overall the property was good with the potential for being very good. I do not know the solution to the geese problem, however, some sort of fence might work. Anyone familiar with the what Canadian Geese can do to a lawn or golf course can appreciate the damages they can do. And having to dodge the mess is very unpleasant. We cleaned it almost daily by shoveling and hosing with water. Frankly, I would hesitate to recommend this property unless there was evidence of these mentioned issues resolved.

Owner's Response: The only legitimate problem with the rental was that Canadian geese had made a visit and yes they did leave a mess. I responded quickly by bringing over a high velocity mower to vacuum up the droppings. After consulting with wildlife officials a coyote decoy was placed in the yard. The problem has been resolved and the geese have moved on. I was notified the the grill did not work. Responding within the hour the guest hadn't realized that the gas needed to be turned on at the tank. Problem was quickly resolved. Furniture is all fairly new and in great shape. Guests did thank me for a nice stay and rated the property as a 4 star. Not bad considering their comments. Yes their is always room for improvements, and we strive for excellence. Please look at the other reviews, I believe you will find that my guests have had a wonderful experience, rating the property mostly as 5 stars. Homeowner and Your Host Barry

Our Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Barry, the owner of the property, came over soon after we arrived to show us around and explain use of the boats. He was a friendly, responsive landlord. The home was comfortably furnished and fully equipped for our family of six. My grandchildren loved riding in the paddle boat and kayak for which lifejackets were supplied by Barry. Using hot dogs as bait, my grandson caught a fish every time he cast the line into the water. My granddaughter especially enjoyed feeding the ducks, which swam by the dock every night around dinner time. Everyone had fun making s'mores in the fire pit with the ingredients provided by Barry. The home was conveniently located for day trips. We went to Plymouth Rock, Salem and the American Girl Doll Store in Natick. A water park, miniature golf, go karts and Sky Zone trampoline park are close by. This rental will work for people like me, who have difficulty with steps. Everything, which I needed, was on the upper floor. When I wanted to go down to the yard, I got there by way of the yard, which gently sloped to the back, rather than using the indoor steps. This rental warrants the highest possible rating. We had a wonderful time on our vacation.

Our vacation

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful vacation home! The house was clean and nicely furnished. The lake was clear and warm. We spent so much time in the water, floating around on tubes. Lots of fish and ducks to feed. The outdoor speakers on the deck were great, along with the hot tub in the downstairs bathroom. Barry was very helpful, and the smores ingredients he left on the kitchen table were a great surprise! We did day trips to Salem, and Plymouth, but in reality, couldn't wait to get back to relax on the deck. We would definitely return for another week!!

Absolutely Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful time we had at Barry's lovely home! The home itself was great. Very comfortable. So much fun for my 17 year old son and his girlfriend to swim, paddleboat, kayak, and fish in the rowboat. They loved to feed the ducks that stopped by every morning. My Mother and I loved just looking at the water and listening to music from the speakers on the deck. Easy access to the clear, sandy bottomed lake as well. The water was nice and warm. The yard and views are amazing. We went on another Whale Watch and my son and his girlfriend went deep sea fishing too! Amazing seafood restaurants (we recommend Wood's and Lobster Hut) as well as 99 restaurant that had a good steak! Cape Cod is so close we spent a day there and also at the Wellfleet Fleamarket. There is so much to do and see in the area that we missed because the kids wanted to stay at the lake all day! Needless to say we would recommend this lovely home to anyone! Thanks Barry, for a vacation to remember!

Comfortable lakefront home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in June with our four teenagers and had a great time. We chose this home because we wanted to visit both Boston and Cape Cod, but I'm sure the favorite part of our vacation for the kids was staying here and enjoying the lake. They couldn't wait to get back to the house to swim and use the kayak, canoe and paddleboat. They also borrowed the fishing pole and caught a few fish off the dock. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing on the deck just outside the kitchen, and also at the lake in the adirondack chairs. We went down to the lake after dinner, made a bonfire and had s’mores. Thank you, Barry for leaving us the supplies for those! The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. We made all of our meals at the home. The kitchen was well-stocked and the knives were sharp. The yard and landscaping were immaculate. We loved this serene setting.
