A great place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

This was just perfect for us -- two adults and a cat, looking to buy a house in the Asheville area. Excellent location, just blocks from the Blue Ridge Parkway and I-40, grocery store and Post Office -- all the essentials. The owner (Bob) couldn't be nicer, and was very helpful when we questions about specific areas around Asheville. The views out the back are spectacular, and we regularly saw wild turkeys, rabbits and other wildlife (no bears). My partner did the walk to the river almost daily; very peaceful and quiet and great views, but a steep walk back for my 69 year old bones. The kitchen was quite functional; the bed was very comfortable; we had no complaints.

Amazing View and Charming Rental

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here. The view of the mountains is incredible! You feel like you are on a mountain top, yet minutes from downtown Asheville.

This spacious rental is cozy and comfortable with a huge master bedroom and spacious living room and kitchen.

I would highly recommend it to any one looking for space, convenience and mountain solitude.

Great Location and Cozy Apartment

  • 5 of 5

We wanted a place close to a downtown Asheville and got the bonus of being up in the hills and having some really nice hosts! The apartment was perfect for my wife and I and our dog. The mini-kitchen was perfect for breakfast/coffee and we spent the rest of our time exploring Asheville for lunch and dinner. We will definitely go back!

Great view.

  • 4 of 5

We came out for a long weekend and enjoyed a quiet retreat. It was great that the owners allowed for our two lab mixes to join us...something that at times is hard to come by. The kitchen was well stocked and the property as a whole was new, clean, and inviting. We got Italian from Pomodorros, which was great. Overall a great holiday trip.

We can't wait to come back!

  • 5 of 5

Bob and Cathy were wonderful hosts. We never even spoke on the phone (email only) but the condition of the apartment, the wonderful accommodating vibe you get from them, and the love you can see is put into the care of this place speaks for itself. The trail to the river is a hike back up the hill once you get there so be prepared if you decide to go exploring if you have any ailments. We have travelled quite a bit around the mountains and though this has more of a homey lived in feel than a cabin, it was actually quite a bit more enjoyable than any cabin we have stayed at (we usually prefer the cabin feel). The views are incredible. There is a mountain view on both sides of the property and large windows to enjoy it from whether in bed, cooking dinner, or checking from the living spaces. Downtown is only a couple minutes down the road but you really feel like you're far away when at the property. It had the greatest combination of what you would want in a place to stay and we can't wait to come back and enjoy all of the things we missed out on while we were there because there's so much too do and so little time! Thanks for the great experience!
