Christmas Vacation

  • 3 of 5

The property was close to town and high on a mountain which was nice to overlook Silverthorne. We had just a few minor issues about this property. Number one pay attention to people's complaints about the three flights of stairs and no elevator. That was a task everyday going up with the altitude, by the time we got up to the room we had to take 20-30 mins to fully catch our breath at times. The HOA was switching the fireplaces in building D from wood to gas and ours was non useable the first two days of our trip, I would have like to have been informed that they were doing that because I would have booked another place that had wood burning fireplace and working because that was one of the important things on my list when I was looking for our perfect Christmas vacation. The other thing is that there is only one tv in the unit not several like it's says which made it diffcult at times with the kids. Also there is a parental block on the tv which wouldn't even let us watch Christmas shows on the hallmark channel or lifetime, I found that strange cause those shows were not inappropriate at all for the children to watch and they should have left us the code so we could make that decision if it were ok to watch or not. Other than those things it was just the dim light that was mentioned in serveral other reviews about the property. We enjoyed our stay and it was comfortable, the master bed was a bit firm for a memory foam bed and it made our backs hurt but I've slept on much worse. We did have everything we would need other than the other things. I would make sure there info on the place is up to date before booking so your not disappointed.

Perfect Vacation Rental

  • 5 of 5

The stay was nice. Place was clean and nicely decorated. It was small, but don't let the size fool you. It fit my family comfortably stocked with everything you could possibly need. A home away from home. The owner is friendly and wants you to enjoy your stay in his condo. Perefect for the price. If you are deciding on which place to stay at, give this place a try. You will be happy you did.

Perfect accommodations for our family!

  • 5 of 5

This property included everything we needed to have an enjoyable family "get-away". The kitchen was well stocked with basic pantry items and cook/tableware which allowed for home cooked meals. It also is close enough to town for eating out and/or other activities in the local area. Additionally, the pool, hot tubs, and sauna were very well maintained and a hit for my 12, 17, and 18 year old sons! The communication for check-in and check-out went very smooth and I received an immediate response when I sent a text inquiry regarding something about the property! Thank you for a wonderful and comfortable stay!!!

Awesome place!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved our stay here! We were not far from all the ski resorts which made it possible to go to multiple locations. Also, they had everything you could need in the kitchen! Definitely will return here.

Ski trip for my family of 7- holy snow!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here as a basecamp for a ski trip for my family of 7, including 5 kids ages 3, 8, 13, 19 and 21. I am giving this place 5 stars for several reasons-

- There was plenty of sleeping room for all 7 of us

- It was clean, comfy, and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need

- I loved how there was plenty of movies, books and board games there for our enjoyment- including a smart DVD player with NETFLIX (which came in handy when the ridiculous amount of snow knocked out the satellite service)

- The family enjoyed the pool, 3 hot tubs and game room in the clubhouse, though it could use some updating.

- Most importantly, the customer service was GREAT. We got snowed in- we literally had 38 inches of snow and the highway was completely shut down. I called and asked about extending our stay an extra night, and I can't express just how friendly they were about it! Then, the next morning, after digging my car out, we found it wouldn't start (battery was dead). I called again, and asked for a late checkout- as I didn't want my kids stuck in a freezing car while we waited. They were SO accommodating, calling the next guests and informing them of our situation to make sure we would be warm and safe.

-The price was so reasonable, especially seeing as though just your normal run of the mill hotel would require us to rent two rooms at twice the price for a family of our size.

The only cons I can give really weren't a big deal to me, but I do want to give a full review.

- It has one bathroom. We managed to make due, but we had to divide for showers morning and night.

- It is on the 3rd floor without elevators. The trips to load and unload were a bit challenging, but worth it.

- The lighting is kinda dim, which was a bit challenging when trying to find certain items in drawers and things like that.

-***IMPORTANT*** the directions we were given were slightly wrong. The last turn said to turn RIGHT when in fact, you need to turn LEFT to get into the complex. That took us a while to figure out in the dark of night when we arrived.
