We enjoyed our stay at your cabin. The View is great!. We saw the bear family from the deck. The color was very good while we were here.
After reading other reviews, I was a little worried about the directions & finding the cabin. But we actually had no problems finding it. One review said a car would have a hard time - we took my Prius and it did just fine up the hill. The cabin itself was nice, very clean - and that view off the back porch - you just can't beat that view. The hot tub was awesome too. We saw a hummingbird come up to the feeder 3 different times. You are definitely in the middle of mother nature. We could not hear another human being or any kind of traffic, etc, just the birds. It was quite relaxing. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a getaway. Gatlinburg wasn't too far, 30-40 minutes if you're into that stuff. We will definitely come back! Loved it!
My husband and I were looking for somewhere quiet and secluded for our 21st anniversary. Well, we found it with this place. If you enjoy nature, this is the place to go. The first half hour of being there, my husband saw a black bear. That night, while sitting the deck in our rocking chairs, we heard a wolf howling(very cool). We also saw a very large (and beautiful) woodpecker. The woodpeckers around us (South Jersey) and very small.
The owners added a very thoughtful touch when they left us an anniversary card on the table. (I will keep that card always.)
The hot tub was very relaxing. We used it twice a day.
My only complaint is the directions that were given to us, were a bit off. It says to turn at the "y". However, fails to mention that there are TWO " y's" before you get to the one you need. We ended up traveling all three y's before finding the correct one. Also, STAY ON THE PAVEMENT!! It will turn to gravel on its own. Like another reviewer, we too ended up in the wrong driveway. Oh boy!! She was MAD!! LOL. DO NOT TURN TOWARDS THE RED HOUSE!!! Stay straight!! The road will begin to narrow and you will then see the landmarks mentioned in the directions.
Other than that, it was VERY NICE!!
Thank you for a great and memorable weekend!!!
This cabin was a nice retreat. We had a family of 6 and were very comfortable. The view is amazing! Nice big kitchen for family dinners with pretty much everything to cook or prepare a meal already supplied (utensils, pans, etc). The washer and dryer really comes in handy for a large family and if you're staying for an extended amount of time. This cabin is for a family who does not want to venture out into town alot. The drive to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg will take you about 30 minutes. The view is your reward for the drive! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would do business with this company again :)
What a beautiful secluded location! The home was very nice and cozy. We found it without a problem (even at night) with the owner's directions. The hot tub was hot already when we arrived. The next morning when we looked out and saw the beautiful view, we knew we had chosen the best location for our short trip. Several hours were spent on the balcony just looking out and enjoying the time together. We couldn't see another house anywhere around us. Truly secluded! The house was very clean also.
The only thing we didn't like was the showers. The heads need to be cleaned thoroughly or replaced.
We liked our stay here very much. Clean and quiet with a awesome view of the valley. The only bad thing was the driveway. Four wheel drive is a must. Be very, very careful you don't miss the gate. Otherwise you'll go up the neighbors drive like we did and whoooo! Huge mistake!!! Be advised that some cabins have a supply of items in the cabinets such as spices, oil, spray oil, sugar etc. you will find none of that here. You must remember to bring everything. Otherwise a pleasant stay.
