There are many great local places to explore besides Yellowstone National Park. Visit Mesa Falls to see and feel the mist and thunder of the powerful rushing waters. Head to Virginia City, a historical gold mining, ghost town to experience a part of the original Old West. Or drive to Earthquake Lake visitor center, the site where over 80 million tons of rock crashed into a canyon back in 1959 blocking the Madison River and forming a what locals call, Quake Lake.

My husband and his family used to fish Henry's Lake every Memorial Day but hadn't been back in 20 years. Bringing our young family to this cabin along with their grandparents and other extended family was really special.
This cabin was a great space for creating memories. And what a view! The weather was incredible. We loved having the weekend to enjoy each other's company and explore this beautiful, special part of the world.
Thank you so much! Hope to see you in 2015!
Wonderful property! Spacious, clean, easy to access from West Yellowstone. Would highly recommend and we would stay here again In a heartbeat
The facility is roomy, comfy, and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with little extras made available to use as needed. That was a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable. Our group of 7 really enjoyed our stay.
The home is in a quiet location near the lake and at the base of the mountains with a better view than what I have seen at West Yellowstone. The home is comfortable with plenty of room to get together and different levels to have some private time. Overall a great visit!
Great place. Breathtaking views of the lake and the mountains! The house is brand new, sparkly clean, well stocked kitchen. Linens, sheets and towels are clean and comfy. Three levels provide enough space for our party of nine. Large dining table is spacious. Everything you expect from a quality lodge is there (satellite tv, internet, fireplace, washer/drier, dishwasher, bbq) . We are very happy about our stay.
These are few cons to be aware of: 1) the house is located not where it is shown on the HomeAway map. It is twenty minutes (18 miles) away from the park gate. It didn't bother us. We actually liked the location because proximity to the lake, but please be aware; 2) internet connection was somewhat slow when three or four people were surfing (we haven't tried streaming movies); 3) we were not big fans of foam mattresses and large synthetic pillows. It would be nice to have an option of smaller feather stuffed pillows; 4) the backyard - just a piece of desert. It ca benefit from some TLC like a fire pit with a bench and chairs; 6) BBQ is a bit old and not that powerful; 7) the fridge is a bit small for five bedroom house and the light in the fridge was broken. Again, these are very minor things that have not distracted us from a wonderful stay at this cabin.
We would like to thank the owner for such a nice place to call home.
The view from the cabin was amazing.
Alan was very helpful with directions. Great communication with the host, almost instant response to emails and messages. Extremely easy check in and check out.
Property was exactly as described. Fully equipped kitchen. Spacious property for our group of 12.
Our family of 10 (grandparents, parents, grandchildren) thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We didn't want to leave and would love to return. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere any yet we were not far from Yellowstone and our favorite fishing spots. This is a perfect place for families to reconnect and spend time together.
