Wonderfully appointed 3 Bedroom House Directly on a Secluded Sandy Beach

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,500 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 4 - 7 nights

About the property

3 bedrooms, 1 full bath, 1 utility bath, washer/dryer Sleeps 8 (max)

This very spacious, centrally heated three bedroom house is 60 feet from the lake with lawn opening onto a secluded sandy beach cove. In the Fall, it is very private with vivid colors and spectacular views of the ever changing Sebago Lake.

The living area has an open layout: living area (working fireplace) - dining area - well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. There is central heating, pine floors and paneling throughout. We supply bed linens. Master bedroom has queen-sized bed, and the two other bedrooms have twins. The living area has two queen sized futons. The bathroom has a shower tub that is great for bathing toddlers. Also a utility bath and washer/dryer on the ground floor. A gas grill, fire pit and picnic table are provided on the patio. Cable and wireless hi-speed internet connection are included. Maximum occupancy of 8 persons

September and October is the best kept secret at Sebago Lake. Warm days and cool nights and very quiet. The leaves are turning and scenery is beautiful. A great time for hiking, kayaking, golfing, or just relaxing in the sunshine on the beach with a book or in front of the fireplace in at night. You can even watch the eagles nesting on outer island (1/4 mile away by boat or kayak) or fish for the small mouthed bass off the rocks in the cove.

It is 45 minutes from Shawnee Peak; 1 hr from Sunday River Ski Area and White Mountains. We would consider a winter rental for 4 months (December 15 - April 15) but do not wish to rent on a weekly or weekend basis during this period.

About Roderick MacGregor

My parents bought the original Maine property in 1954, which included a house on the water and a guest house behind it up on a hill overlooking the lake. My brothers and I had the opportunity to buy a large amount of contiguous property around the original homestead in 1977, including Lone Pine. We live full time in a home that we built that is adjacent to it on the cove. We take pride in the way we have appointed Lone Pine and continually upgrade it.

Roderick MacGregor purchased this house in 1977

Amazing Lakefront Home !!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here for a week to enjoy the unbelievable beauty of fall in Maine - and celebrate a wedding! The home was perfect with lots of seating space, a well-stocked kitchen, clean large bedrooms, efficient fireplace, and a fabulous view of the lake. Exactly as pictured ! We enjoyed the privacy and also the friendliness of the owners and their lab Leif who trotted over to greet us each morning. Very convenient to great restaurants and neighborhood stores. Thanks again so much

Great Place, beautiful lake front, super nice owner

  • 5 of 5

We spent unforgettable four nights here and wishing it could be longer. We are family of four and each one of us had great time. My favorite thing is sitting by the fire and watching kids playing on the beach. So peaceful and quite. Oh, Leaf, the landlord dog is so friendly and boys are missing him already. Hope we can come back soon. Leon

Perfect lakeside get-a-way!

  • 5 of 5

Six of us stayed at Lone Pine for a surprise 40th birthday for my husband. This is a perfect vacation rental. The cottage has everything you need: a variety of seating spaces for eating, drinking and playing cards, grill, fire pits, fireplace, outside shower, and a boat mooring with ramp less than 5 minutes away. The cottage is very warm and homey. We enjoyed sitting on the beach with coffee each morning. The owners are fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating to our last minute schedule changes. They brought us wood for the for the fire and made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable get a way. We especially enjoyed their well behaved and friendly lab, Lief. When you get here, be sure to throw a rock into the lake for him and enjoy the show. Thank you Rod and Joan for sharing your beautiful place and the memories. We'll be back...
