Spend your Wrightsville Beach vacation enjoying wonderful ocean views while rocking away on the covered wraparound porch or sunning on the deck!
This ocean front, classic single family, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, one level cottage is located at the desirable southern tip of the island. It’s quiet here! Take a short stroll along the water’s edge to Masonboro Inlet and watch the birds nesting in the lush dunes. A private path leads to the beach so you’ll feel like you have it all to yourself!
This home has a cozy feel with an antique flavor of nostalgic Wrightsville Beach. When entering in this home you will find and open den, dining area and kitchen. The bedrooms lead of the main hallway as well as the 2 bathrooms one with a shower and one with a claw foot tub. There is an additional living area that opens to the ocean front porch and deck with built in benches and dining table and chairs. There is an outside shower on the deck as well as an enclosed shower room under the house.
Plenty of parking for up to 6 cars. Occupancy: 9. No Smoking. No Pets.
I have never had a better time! Loved the perfect location at the quiet end of the beach! We felt that we were away from it all, but were actually only 2 minutes from everything ...
We loved the house as well. It is very charming, clean, freshly painted, and well-maintained, but welcoming and cottage-casual. Six friends met at the beach for spring break. Enjoyed lots of time on the porch, and walking the beach.
The Owners were wonderful. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. If you want a brand new house, rent a brand new house. If you want a traditional beach cottage, the Crawford house is great.
Plan to come back this summer with family for surfing, sightseeing, and some more hammock time.
The property manager was adequately helpful.
The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.
Crawford house has seen better days. The location is superb, but this house is the dog of the block. Every other home on this stretch of beach has been carefully renovated and is in pristine condition - not so for Crawford house. Don't believe the photos - they were clearly taken a very long time ago. This home has a great history and still has charm. Unfortunately, it simply has not been maintained and seems to have been forgotten by the owners or management company. From linoleum pulling away from the floor in the kitchen, to the deck bowing so much in the middle that one is afraid to walk on it, to old wood floors that creak so loud one doesn't even want to move through the house after anyone has gone to sleep, to a shower stall so old and cheap that the wall moves when you try to turn the water on or off. We were stunned by the deferred maintenance. This house is just too quirky. We would not return.
