I am semi-retired from the commercial real estate business and my wife retired from the Beaufort Co. School System. We look forward to spending more time on the river, as well as enjoying more time with family, friends and our two grandchildren.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 1995
I was born and raised in Beaufort County, North Carolina. I returned to the area to be near my aging parents and to enjoy a slower paced lifestyle, focusing on what I value the most. After returning to the area, I remarried in 2005. My wife and I now split our time between our two homes. The cabin is not just a rental, but our second home.
When staying at this property, my wife and I enjoy relaxing and entertaining family and friends by the pool. We also love kayaking and boating. However, our favorite thing to do is enjoy our morning coffee in the porch rockers or in the sunroom overlooking the pool and Bath Creek. At the day's end, the sunsets are spectacular whether viewed from the boathouse deck, the porches, pool decks or sunroom.
We thoroughly enjoyed our long 4th of July weekend at the Cabin on the Creek. The house was PERFECT! The owner met us at the house to give us the keys making check in very easy. Carol was great at keeping in contact with us by emails and texts prior to our arrival. The house was very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The sunroom on the back of the house was a nice place to play board games in the evenings. The pool was an added bonus and got a lot of use over the weekend. The view of the creek was beautiful. Checking out was easy too, we straighten up, placed the sheets and towels on top of the washing machine and locked the doors behind us. The Town of Bath is rich with history and a great place to relax. We would love to return in the future. We would highly recommend staying at the Cabin on the Creek. It was just perfect in every way! Carol - Thank you for sharing your home with us and giving us a truly wonderful weekend!
This was the prefect place to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday! Thank you to the owner for making this such an easy experience. The home was beautiful and the pool was well used. Home had everythng we needed and more. My dad enjoyed fishing off the pier and catching crabs in the crab pot. We took our boat and he also enjoyed riding in the creek and river. It bought alot of memories and there was alot of memories made that weekend. Thank for sharing your paradise. We will def return!!
We had an awesome time here. First of all, thank you to the owner who made it possible to rent this beautiful home at the last minute. Not only were we able to rent at the last minute but we were allow to check in early on our day of arrival. The house was clean and really for us when we arrived. Although we rented a couple of days before the pool was to be closed for the season, the pool was clean and ready for use as if they had just opened it. We love going out to the lake through the beautiful manicure back yard to do some fishing and crabbing. We brought our own fishing gear but the crab catcher was proved. What a perfect way to end our summer. I would love to end each season at this wonder home. Thanks again and we can't wait to come here again. To the owners, thank you and we hope to see you soon.

We had a wedding to attend in Raleigh, NC and decided to take the week before and make it a much needed vacation. My whole family fell in love with this place. Larry and Carol are absolutely the best and helped with any questions or issues we had. My children loved the pool and kayaks and the Ferry ride over to Ocarcoke. We also went on tour of Church and different buildings in town - it was a very hot day but all had a good day and ate lunch at Black Beards on the corner. The food is very good and worth the wait. Many thanks again to Larry and Carol. We had a wonderful time - much to short as all vacations are.
Our family rented this lovely property as a way to spend the last week with our son and granddaughter before he shipped out to Guam with the Coast Guard. The location is very quaint and the river was so beautiful and peaceful. The home had everything you might need and was very comfortable. The owners were extremely kind and helpful to make it all happen for us. Thank you for such a nice time.
