CANM and Kelly Place
We enjoyed our stay at Kelly Place. The access to mountain bike trails is excellent. The ruins on the property are mind-blowing! We hiked up Settlers Canyon right from the property and went way into Canyon of the Ancients National Monument. What a great visit!
Thank you for the great review. We are right in the middle of many trails open to hiking, horses and mountain bicycles as you say. The red rock terrain and Anasazi ruins you encounter on these activities make a a real memorable visit for sure. You hiked up Settlers Canyon to the monument, great, there are two more canyons to explore! There seems to be at least a weeks worth of different hikes and bicycling you can do from the property before you exhaust your self!
Thanks again for your visit and review,
What a beautiful place - plus ruins and a restored kiva
When we first arrived we were astounded at the natural beauty of the property. Then we found out more about the ruins and restored kiva. This place is a real treasure. Marc can provide breakfast for a minimal charge and it is stellar, including fantastic homemade granola and a buffet of eggs and other standards done with a special twist. There is a great winery a mile or so up the road (Guy Drew), where we tasted several and bought nearly a case for the rest of our trip. Mesa Verde, Hovenweep, the Anasazi Center are easy day trips.
Thank you Mary for the great review. The land here speaks for itself in a big way with guests. With so much hiking and learning to do right in our area you truly can enjoy a vacation without dealing with hordes of people as there are plenty of trails and Anasazi ruins right out our back door.
Again, glad your stay was enjoyable and as rewarding as you indicated, cheers!
