We recently spent three days in Moab. This unit is located in the Spanish valley area of Moab so it's really close to Arches National Park. The unit looked like it was furnished with thrift shop and yard sale furniture. The kitchen had no hand soap and we were supplied with 3 garbage bags and 3 dishwasher soap tablets. There were exactly 2 wash cloths for 3 of us. The main floor toilet leaked and the garage door sounded like it was breaking every time it went up or down. We were not supplied with a garage door opener as well. The unit good have been very nice, but the owners skimped on everything, yet charged top dollar for the unit.
Overall property is nice, this unit is in some need of updating and renovating, it was clean but worn.
Five adults spent 4 nights in this condo recently while on an ATV trip. It is located in a newer condo development just a few minutes south of town. There were many off-roaders like ourselves, but despite the many mud-covered Jeeps and 4-wheelers parked on trailers along the ring road, the place is immaculately clean and quiet.
Pros: VERY clean unit, well furnished if not elegant. Comfortable, serviceable furniture. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, knives, utensils, etc. Lights and switches all work. Bathrooms were immaculate. Beds were pretty comfortable. GORGEOUS view from the master balcony over the red rocks northeast. Very quiet location on the back side of the building. (Those can be a bit hard to find if you're not familiar with this development.) Managers supplied excellent directions and detailed information about the rental so guests can find it. An arrow on the map of the condo development pointing to the location of the unit would be helpful since it is on the back side of the building.
Cons: Missing some essential items like salt, and bath soap. There were EXACTLY 5 plates for the 5 of us. It would have been nice to have a couple of extras. Wireless internet had sporadic outages and the router had to be rebooted a few times for unknown reasons. No lid to fit the large frying pan - two lids that ALMOST fit but fell into the pan! Some of us like to sleep with 2 pillows, and there were plenty of extra pillows but not a single pillowcase to put on them. Just little things, I know, but it speaks of cutting corners to save a few cents.
Suggestions: Old analog TV's were a disappointment. Look like owner's cast-offs or bought at a yard sale. Really, flat screens aren't that expensive anymore!!! Nice balcony off the master, but with only an uncomfortable-looking old wooden bench, not the least bit inviting. Would be nice to see a table and a lounger or two or at least a couple of chairs. The Queen bed was comfortable but most master bedrooms these days have a King bed - all other things being equal in rentals, we always prefer the one with a King. Twin beds would have been more practical for adults than the bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom.
All in all, this condo is comfortable and well suited for the needs of most guests visiting Moab. We have stayed at other units in this condo complex and this one is about average. A few nicer furnishings and not skimping on the basics would elevate it to the top tier.
