The single family home has a homey, oceanfront cottage appeal. It sits on the most amazing property with vast ocean views.

The home itself is cozy, tranquil and recently completely remodeled. It has hardwood bamboo floors throughout, lots of natural light, updated kitchen and bathrooms. Maximum is 6 guests. The location is central,within walking or biking distance to everything to do in Islamorada . However, you won't want to leave the property. Just check out our photos and the amazing reviews from our guests over the years. It is truly special.

Master bedroom has private bath, king-size bed, desk, overlooks the ocean and has perfect sunrise view. Living area overlooks ocean with abundant sitting and lounging space . Second and third bedrooms have lots of sunlight, full closets and two single beds and queen-size bed, respectively. Dishwasher, microwave, brand new refrigerator, washer and dryer, and flat screen smart TV. Towels and linens supplied.

Outside has palm shaded hammocks, fishing or sea life watching, tree swings, picnic table and lounge chairs.

High-speed WiFi service, beach bikes and Kayaks also available for use by our guests.

About Alex Agurcia

We have four daughters enjoy the Russel Estate regularly as our family's second home. My wife and I got married on this property and have owned it for over 15 years. Because of their exposure to this property and the keys in general over the years , our daughters have grown up to appreciate and value the profound natural beauty of tropical ocean life. They have spent hours, days and years exploring and collecting all sorts of marine life or just playing or enjoying the outside. As the property has shown us lots of love and beauty over the years, we continue give the love back with regular upgrades and maintenance, new features and play items.

This property has significant historical value as one of 29 red cross homes built after the devastating hurricane of 1935. It was also owned and homesteaded by one of the founding families of Islamorada, the Russell's. Beyond that, the marine wildlife and views around the property are amazing. On any given day you may be able to catch a sighting of dolphins, turtles, stingrays, horseshoe crabs, starfish as well as all types of tropical fish and bird life just by sitting ocean side. Ocean Kayaking and swimming is available right off the property. The yard is large and private and offers perfect, unobstructed views of the Atlantic ocean with breathtaking, colorful horizons as the sun sets and rises on the ocean. And.... if you ever have the motivation to actually leave this tropical paradise, any one of the best restaurants and entertainment in Islamorada is only minutes away --- walking, biking or short drives away.

All the best of Islamorada in your private paradise

This was our 5th time staying at the Russell Estate since 2013. EVERY year, BEFORE we arrive, I tell my husband THIS TIME I want to "explore" more of the Keys. Every year, I think I want to go see the parks and beaches. Then we get here and I don't want to leave! From sunrise to sunset and often after, we walk the dock and seawall and marvel at the birds, sea life, and all the colors of blue and green of the water as the tides come and go. We have kayaked and floated around the yard with nurse sharks, rays and fish in arm's reach. The "yard" is your own private aquarium and wildlife preserve. Herons, egrets, pelicans, osprey, cormorants, frigate birds, ibis and gulls too numerous to name fly overhead and hunt in the ocean. At your feet, corals, crabs, colorful trunk and cowfish, snappers and more. The house is lovely and every window has a wonderful view of the ocean or palms and flowering trees, complete with iguana and lizards.

Alex is a most attentive owner and wonderful to work with and he has stocked the place with kayaks, fishing poles and all manner of rafts, bikes and snorkeling gear.

We will be back and I will think I want to explore other places. Until we get here and find we already have all the best of Islamorada right here at the Russell Estate.

The house is comfortable and has everything you might need for your stay but the thing that really sets this property apart is the outdoor space and location. Every morning we woke up to a beautiful sunrise from the master bedroom window. The entire backyard is a sandy beach complete with palm trees - perfect for watching the sunrise, doing yoga, eating lunch, playing badminton, star gazing or just hanging out. The dock provides endless entertainment, in addition to being perfect for launching the kayaks, due to the extensive marine life - we saw barracuda, nurse sharks, lobsters, shrimp, horseshoe crabs, hermit crabs, jellyfish, and lots of other saltwater fish along with many species of birds. You can walk to nearby restaurants and a marina and the house is located on Old Highway which is perfect for walking, biking or jogging.

Alex was a wonderful owner and a pleasure to do business with.

A month here flew by and we can't wait to return next year.

I wish I could give it 100 stars

This was by far the best place I have ever stayed in my entire life. There were many things to do and just hanging out in the backyard on the beach was amazing. There is a beautiful view of the ocean. If you are staying in the master bedroom, you have a beautiful view of the sunrise. Overall this place was amazing, Alex was a great host, and I will for sure be back again.

A piece of paradise

Everything was handled with kindness and professionalism. Alex is an honest and dependable owner who is willing to go above and beyond to help his visitors have an enjoyable stay. The property is very spacious, and we enjoyed the privacy and quietude there. But the stunningly beautiful back yard, with the sun/moon rises, breezes, shade trees and plenty of seating and lounging was delightful and more than we expected. The Dock is a big asset as well and has seating to enjoy fishing or just contemplation. The kayaking was very nice.

The house is very spacious and charming with plenty of comfort. We took a chance-and ended up with a vacation property that has been the most beautiful, quiet and tropical property we have visited yet in Islmarada!

Beautiful property!

We have stayed in many homes and condos all over Florida and this was one of our favorites. Our family of five (children ages 15, 10 and 9) had a wonderful time. The home is comfortable and has everything you need. The owners are very pleasant to work with and easy to reach if needed. We hope to make it back again soon.

Awesome Property

My family (wife and two boys ages 7 and 12) spent a week at the Russell Estate. It is wonderfully located. Close to many great restaurants and activities. Everyone loved the property. It has a secured back yard with hammocks, chairs, and swings for the kids. The dock was nice. We saw sharks, lobsters, fish, crabs, etc. from the dock. We saw a manatee in the little bay too. The kids loved snorkeling right off the dock. The home is well equipped. We would stay here again for sure!
