A great place to stay for a large group.

  • 5 of 5

We were eight adults and two children and had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved that there were tv's, fans and air conditioners in almost every room. A great place to stay for a large group.

Everything we needed was right there the kids had a wonderful time they wanted to stay another week

  • 5 of 5

Loved the open concept of the up stairs and the finished lower level for the kids worked out really well . Having the screenporch was an added bonus with plenty of room . Mabel was very helpful with any questions. Definitely a revisit in the future.

Very nice place for our family with grandchildren with limitations

  • 4 of 5

The photo of the primary living area on the second floor sold me on the place and it was perfect for our trip with our daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren. It was well equipped and two of the three beds upstairs were great and very comfortable. The third one was woefully worn out.

The owners were very responsive. We needed them to get the WiFi running and to deal with how to deliver the "Trash" to the Town's Transfer station when it is closed 3 1/2 days a week. The owner agreed to take care of it since we had to leave when the Transfer station was not open.

The downstairs, although equipped with bunk beds and two doubles, is really not well-suited for sleeping because it was musty. There's too much moisture that can't be addressed without more dehumidifying capacity on a full-time basis and not just as tenants arrive. Also, I did replace six light bulbs from the supply provided by the owner. Unfortunately, I did not find them (under the kitchen sink) until my last day (I replaced four in one bathroom fixture, one in a bedroom table lamp and one in the basement). Two good vacuums were available as advertised but the bags were filled to capacity and I could find no replacements to make them operational. These were simply irritating issues because they should have been obvious to anyone "checking" on the property for its readiness for occupants.

Owner's Response: Thanks for this feeback! I am always looking for ways to improve and I have already done the following based on your comments: 1. The bed that was upstairs: unfortunately the renters before you broke the box spring and did not inform us. We have replaced the box spring which made all the difference! 2. Trash: I am so excited about this.....we decided to have a residential canister (dumpster) at the house at all times so there is no need for renters to worry about the trash!!!! 3. Another dehumidifier has been purchased for the downstairs and we checked with the renters after you and they said the downstairs was great and was not musty. Yay! 4. Light Bulbs and Vacuums: We have lots of supplies at the house and we have added this to the binder that contains all the necessary information. This will make it easy for renters to know where supplies are located. Again, thank you for your feedback so we could make these changes for future guests! Take care, Mabel and Jim

My family and I (7 adults) had a great week here! Plenty of space and a beautiful area. We enjoyed going down to the pond and using the boats! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the house was clean. Would recommend it and come again!

Couldn't have asked for more!!

  • 5 of 5

This rental was everything we wanted and more. It was clean, spacious, well stocked and perfect for our 10 person group. This house is was far enough away from everything that you felt like you were in the woods but close enough to everything that you needed. We would stay here again and are actually planning our next trip. Thank you!!!

TERRIFIC FAMILY CHRISTMAS VACATION!

  • 5 of 5

I surprised my husband and 3 adult sons by renting this lovely home. It was a family Christmas gift with enough room for them to each invite a friend. We went up the day after Christmas and there was lots of snow for skiing, snow-shoeing, and of course a couple of snow ball fights. The house was even nicer in person than the on-line photos- roomy, bright, warm, & nice and clean! The owners, Mabel and Jim, were super helpful and quick to respond to any of my questions. They even had a beautiful poinsettia and cozy pre-lit tree in the wide open living area.

We had a perfect time and I highly recommend this listing.
