The Gammy Bird Inn sits on the cliffside just above the Seward Boat Harbor. You will want to return again and again to the Gammy Bird Inn!

Notes:
Gammy Bird Inn guests are encouraged to relax on the cliff above the Seward Small Boat Harbor and enjoy the vistas of Resurrection Bay and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. While viewing the spectacular scenery from an apartment fit for any ship's captain, guests will find total comfort after a day of sailing, fishing, hiking or any other of Seward's many adventures. You may see a Bald Eagle fly by your window so closely that you will make eye contact! Watch the salmon swimming in the lagoon just below the cliff, and even spot black bear in the forest behind the house. See a unique sunset with the alpenglow on the mountains peaks in the east, and in the morning, awake to the sun coming over Mt. Alice as it lights up the head of Resurrection Bay.

Can't beat the view!

  • 5 of 5

We came to Alaska for the views and this property didn't disappoint! Located by the harbor we had a 2 minute drive down to catch our fishing charter in the morning and watched cruise ships pull in. This studio fit all of our needs and then some as breakfast and all the fixings for a pot of coffee were provided. (Thank goodness, because I forgot mine and we had a 5 AM wake-up one morning.) Clean, comfortable, breakfast and coffee, and much more reasonably priced than the local hotels. The owners were very easy to work with. I would definitely book here again and highly recommend to all.

Amazing stay on Seward bay

  • 5 of 5

The place is big, comfortable and conveniently located to all things you might want to get into while in Seward. Deborah was nice and communicative and provides lots of breakfast options! Would recommend the GB Inn for anyone passing through.

A nice large bedroom suite with a good view over the Seward harbor.

  • 4 of 5

Sitting area for two in bedroom and a small kitchen (small fridge and sink). Overall a very nice spot and would stay there again. The hosts were helpful and responsive when needed and otherwise the room is very private (separate entrance, etc.)

Gorgeous views, centrally located, clean and great hosts.

  • 5 of 5

We felt like we were staying at our friends spare room without the social aspect. Deborah was available only when needed. The room was clean and very nicely decorated, but the view of the harbor and mountains made the stay spectacular. The breakfast of fruits, bagels and pastry (and a delicious breakfast burrito on the last morning) was the perfect start to the day. I read a review about the curtains being too light for those that are not used to the long summer hours.....the cure is getting active in a town that has a lot to offer in activities. We had no trouble sleeping after kayaking 6 miles one day and hiking 9 miles the next day. We will definitely stay again if ever given the opportunity to visit Seward again. No complaints can be made about the Gammy Bird!
