I would be cautious to anyone renting this home. It is against the bylaws of the neighborhood to rent out a home which the neighborhood is about to enforce. Plus the home is now on the real estate market.
We had a great time in Louisville, including staying in this house. It was large and spacious. Our big family wasn't cramped at all. We would have felt more comfortable with window coverings...just a personal preference. It could have used a more thorough cleaning...floors needed scrubbing, spiderwebs all over the outside/windows, stink bugs in the house, etc. Otherwise, it was exactly what we needed.
My wife and I are from Louisville, and we wanted to bring our children, their spouses, and grandchildren to Louisville to spend a few days at Christmas with my family that still lives in Louisville, especially my parents. The goal was to have a place that could accommodate all of us so we would not need hotel rooms and could our time together. This house absolutely satisfied that goal, with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and space for 8 adults and 3 children, in addition to having enough space to host a Christmas get-together with family that doubled that number.
The house is very nice and had everything we needed to stay there for 3 nights. The owner was easy to work with, including being very accommodating when I asked about checking in early and checking out late due to our flight schedules. We made significant use of the kitchen and it had plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. We also made use of the fireplace and quite extensive use of the pool table (although there was only 1 pool stick in the house and we had a missing ball so we just played 9-ball every time).
The neighborhood is quiet and relatively secluded, yet reasonably close to grocery stores and restaurants. We had deer on the property two different times which was a thrill for our grandchildren. '
As other reviewers noted, there are no window coverings at all. This took some getting used to for some family members, especially since it's not like the house is isolated from other houses. We also had an issue with the key pad used for entering through the garage.
But overall this house met every hope we had for it, and I believe these will be some of my favorite memories as I grow older.
The pictures do not reflect this property. It is million times bigger spacious elegant and well taken care of. It is in upscale safe quiet area. There is lots of packing . The owner responses instantly and addresses any issues in a timely manner, Thank you John
The house was beautiful with a ton of amenities. There was a ton of room and it was well maintained. We had trouble with the WIFI, showers were not as clean as we expected and leaked on the floors, and the owner came in a few times to the house with out notice. Loved the area and close to a ton of activities
This home is perfect, we had a group of 13 and room to spare. The owner was very accommodating. The home was clean, bathrooms all very clean. We will be back!
