For those travelers who want to be on one of the best beaches in the Caribbean - Orient Beach - and never have to drive, this beachfront vacation rental is ideal The apartment, located on ground floor, is part of the Creole style beachfront complex of ''Caribbean Riviera''. It consists of a King sized bedroom, a private bathroom, and an open concept large living room with kitchen opening to a covered garden patio fronting Orient Beach, with real sea view.

Le Cozi offers immaculate clean and modern accommodation for 2-4 people. We acquired the condo earlier in 2009 and selected the amenities and fine furniture with modern design, quality and comfort. The warm and welcoming interior is functional and well appointed with many practical amenities. We will be around if you need any help.

From here you can walk to the beach that is just across the garden, or to Kakao Beach bar and the many other Orient Beach restaurants.

More Details: The large communal pool is only 10 steps away from your door. Go for a swim at the pool or at beautiful Orient Beach, take a sunbath, hang out at a beach bar, or do your favorite water sports. At Le Cozi, you will not need a car to do all this. All is available in front of your door! The condo is centrally located on Orient Bay and ideal for a relaxing week in total comfort. Enjoy the easy access to the beach, and all the comforts of home at Le Cozi!

Orient Beach on the Northern coast is the best serviced and most popular beach of French St. Martin. It is a sweeping curve of +2 mile of white sand beach, great for a swim, snorkeling, a variety of water sports or to to hang out at one of the many places lined up along the beach. At the charming market square of Orient Village, called ''La Place du Village'', there are a few bars, restaurants, a pizza place and several shops.

Activities: Usually on Friday nights, some activities are going on at the market square with live music, French chansons or Caribbean music, combined with a little street market featuring handicraft, local art, souvenirs and more.

Nearby places to go are the ferry station in French Cul-de-Sac for a ''day off'' at the tropical dream beach of Pinel Island. The Butterfly Farm at Le Galion is about the same 10 min. drive away, opposite direction. As to dining out, many of the finest restaurants of St. Martin are in Grand Case, also at 10 min. from Le Cozi.

Why Schmitt Marion chose Saint Martin

We decided to buy condos on Orient bay because, we live there and we would like to be near our guests if they have any questions, or something else. We love this place, because it is on one of the best beaches in the Caribbean with plenty of white powdery sand and great views of the small islands of Tintamarre, Pinel and Green Cay.

We stayed at the apartment for over a week... had an absolutely great time. The apartment is a very spacious, clean 1 bedroom with great looking modern, european decor. Its also close to the village shops... always enjoyed my morning walk to pick up a fresh baguette for breakfast. The whole resort is lovely with a nice selection of restaurants set around the small village "square" giving it a french as much as a carribean feel. Close by was our favourite beach of the entire island... Galion. With quiet, calm, shallow crystal clear waters (ideal for kids and only a few people); we spent a couple of afternoons there relaxing under the palm trees. Totally recommend the apartment and the whole island (on't miss out on Lotterie Farm). Marion is a great host; very friendly and gave us lots of great info.

Clean/Attractive condo is great for couple who want to relax, close to beach & restaurants

What we liked best: well decorated condo, free off-street parking, and personal outdoor space on the "ocean side" that was also very close to the shared pool. The floor unit is convenient for loading/unloading the car in a reserved space. Orient beach is supposedly one of the best on the island and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The nude beach is also only about 5-10 min walk away. There are places to eat and drink along the beach and the food was excellent. The owner gave us good recommendations for things to do and places to eat, though we could not do everything on this trip--maybe next time. The television has many channels in various languages/international stations. The area is in a semi-private gated community so there is no "through-traffic". So, the feeling of privacy and safety is enhanced. There are shopping and restaurants nearby. The Owner invited us to contact her at any time during our stay if there were questions or problems. The whole island can be driven/explored easily.

What could be improved: Perhaps, more written information on where things are in the apartment and how to check-out. For example, we used bath towels at the beach, instead of the beach towels we discovered on our last morning there, which were not readily visible as they were on a low shelf under a folded shopping bag in the hallway table. We didn't operate the clothes washer because we were unfamiliar with the Euro unit, though the Owner did offer to show us this upon arrival. So, this was our fault. There are many stray cats in Orient Bay, including several around our building. I think this may be common for the island and other places but it is still worth noting. Some used the area outside our door as a litter box, which was not pleasant.....

Our review for the area of Orient Beach in general , outside of the apartment, was that we liked it. We visited during the start of slow season so the area was somewhat empty. So, the pulse/energy of the place was very laid back and quiet. We liked not having to fight over dinner tables but wished the bars were busier (or open) at night. Definitely, rent a car if you want to get to busier areas like Grand Case, etc. Service at restaurants is VERY slow, by American standards. Though, this is probably normal for the islands and Europeans. You have to ask for the check, as they don' t seem to want to ask if you are ready for it. Food was relatively expensive. Mixed drinks typically $10-12US

Loved Le Cozi & the beautiful island of St. Martin!

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week on the island of St. Martin. We were greeted by the owner of the condo and everything was absolutely perfect! We couldn't have asked for anything more! Thank you. Marion for allowing us to stay in your condo! We will be back!

Que du bonheur

Appartement idéalement situé, proche de la plage, des commerces (supérette, pain) et des restos. L'appartement était d'une propreté exemplaire, ménage fait en fin de semaine, au milieu de notre séjour, serviettes et draps changés.

Nous avons été très agréablement surpris par le confort (literie de très bonne qualité), l’espace et la superbe vue. Il est tel que sur les photos.

Merci beaucoup à Marion pour son accueil chaleureux, sa gentillesse, sa ponctualité, ses conseils.
