Hi. Nick and I are in our early 60's. We grew up in Phillie, Tacony and Bridesburg/Frankford and have resided in Lower Bucks for 30+ years. Our high schools were Lincoln and St. Hubert's. The thought is that Brigantine will become the 'summer residence' at some point. It is a great town with welcoming people.
Marilyn Halkias purchased this apartment in 2013
About five years ago, we purchased our first property in Brigantine. As soon as we found the area, we fell, as is alluded to in the welcoming sign, as you cross the causeway, in love for life. Quite, low key, BEAUTIFUL and best of all, friendly. Everyone says hello. Close enough to the hoopla, far enough from the roar of the crowd - a place to sit with family and friends, hear the surf, smell the sea, relax, do something, do nothing, and remember what it's like not to hustle, unless you want to.
What makes people fall in love at first sight? This is a secluded block (won't worry about the kids here). It is a an attractive block. The people, as do we, care.
It has a neighborhood feel. The best thing - the neighbors - everyone is friendly, everyone talks. It is a good time.
Thank you for renting us your wonderful beach house for the week. We had an excellent time and really enjoyed the comfort of your home. We have stayed in a number of different houses in the last 10 years throughout Brigantine and yours was one of the best. The place was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were fairly comfortable (sorry nothing beats your own bed). Larry was a pleasure to have as an upstairs neighbor and the location on that dead end potion of Ocean Ave was very quiet, comforting, and enjoyable. We would definitely consider staying with you again next summer if you’ll have us!
