About the property

Indian shores 2-bedrooms/2-bathrooms condo on the gulf. Heated pool, BBQs, WiFi

Magnificent 2-bedroom/2-bathroom resort condominium vacation rental located in an oceanfront property on Indian Shores Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Indian Shores is a unique, relaxed gulf coast town with a beautiful beach, a wide variety of fabulous upscale and family restaurants, entertainment, and wonderful shopping. Our condo building is a very popular family-friendly gulf front condo rental in Florida on the Gulf Coast that is directly on the beach and has excellent guest reviews.

Our spacious 1100 square foot condo is 20 miles west of Tampa in the middle of a 13-mile long barrier island with Clearwater to the north and St. Petersburg Beach to the south.

Surrounded by warm, gentle surf and plenty to do... or do nothing but savor the relaxed atmosphere and walk barefoot on the beautiful soft, white sandy beach right outside your door. Rinse off after a fun-filled day on the beach at our outdoor shower conveniently located right off the beach.

Our large heated pool has plenty of sun, shade, lounging chairs, and tables with umbrellas and is a great place for a poolside picnic. The entire building is Wi-Fi accessible, including the condos, balconies, pool/deck area, BBQ/Picnic area and even parts of the beach close to the building are able to connect to our building's WiFi. Just set up your laptop and you can enjoy our free Wi-Fi access.

Our spacious, luxury condo is completely equipped with all amenities. It has been updated and redecorated, including beautiful ceramic tile throughout the entire apartment, newer living room furniture, new air conditioning system, and freshly painted every year to keep it clean and appealing for our guests.

The living room and both bedrooms have flat screen TVs, all with full Cable channels and there is a DVD player also so you can watch free rentals available through our management company office. There are also two new recliners and all new tables in the living room. We bought new furniture for the second bedroom, new refrigerator with ice maker in the kitchen, new dishwasher and a new microwave. All new bedding in both bedrooms and many new decorative touches, make our condo truly your home away from home.

The master bedroom has a queen-sized pillow-top mattress bed, digital alarm clock/radio and full private bath. The second bedroom has one double and one single bed (both new with very comfortable pillow-top mattresses), digital alarm clock/radio and separate full bath (accessible in hallway right outside second bedroom door).

We have furnished our condo to make it your home away from home, with all the comforts we want for ourselves when we vacation. There is Cable TV in all rooms, DVD, VCR, full stereo, unlimited free local calls and free WI-FI. Fully-equipped, full-size kitchen includes coffeemaker, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, pots and pans, all dishes and utensils; everything you need to prepare and serve a gourmet meal for your family to enjoy after a full, active day on the beach.

There is a private balcony with patio furniture. Our balcony faces towards the intracoastal waterway and has a view of the tropical palm trees and shrubbery of Tiki Gardens, a park across the street on Gulf Blvd. Since we are located only one floor up from the ground floor, unfortunately there is no view of the intracoastal waterway from the balcony. However, you can use either the elevator or just one flight of stairs (especially good for those traveling with younger children) and you're up in the condo to grab a quick snack.

Our onsite management office provides many conveniences for guests, including handling of keys, cleaning and maintenance issues, change for the laundry room, free bicycle rentals for all guests staying in the condo (bicycles can be picked up at the main office in Indian Rocks Beach), and DVDs to borrow at no cost.

Easy access to all central Florida's world-famous attractions, including John's Pass Historical Fishing Village, Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, and even just a 90-minute drive to the Orlando theme parks. Walk to mini market, great restaurants, shops and entertainment. Enjoy beachside volleyball, jogging on the beach, swimming, snorkeling, shelling, building sand castles, fishing, boogie boarding, parasailing, jet skiing, miniature golf, public golf courses and glorious sunsets. Watch the dolphins traveling the beautiful gulf coastline.

Other nearby attractions include The Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, which has beautiful formal gardens, as well as natural habitats and scenic landscapes. The South Florida Museum is the largest natural and cultural history museum on Florida's Gulf Coast and is the home of Snooty, the oldest known manatee in the world. You can feed Snooty when you visit the South Florida Museum and also visit the Planetarium there.

Tropicana Field, home of Major League Baseball's Tampa Bay Rays is a popular attraction that many of our guests visit. Besides watching a baseball game, there is is also The Rays Touch Tank, a 35-foot, 10,000 gallon tank filled with over 30 cow nose rays taken from the Tampa Bay waters. And best of all admission to the tank area is free for all fans!

The newest, and quickly becoming a very popular attraction, is Splash Harbour Water Park, located in Indian Rocks Beach, less than a 5-minute drive from my condo. There is a 42-foot tall slide, which you can slide down in a water tube, a 600-foot long lazy river and other slides, interactive water activities, mining for treasure, as well as a huge sun deck to just kick back and relax.

Pass-A-Grille Beach, at the southern tip of the 13-mile long barrier island, is a great place to walk along the rocks and find beautiful seashells that are left for you to pick up off the beach during low tide. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets while Al fresco dining at one of the small restaurants or pubs across the street from the beach.

The famous Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary in Indian Shores, is the largest wild bird hospital and rehabilitation center in the US. This nonprofit organization admits over 8,000 injured birds each year. And admission is FREE!!

Indian Shores has several beautiful parks for you to enjoy during your vacation. Estelle Harper Park on the intracoastal waterway, behind Indian Shores' town hall is a great place to watch the boats. The children can enjoy the playground, which includes a new jungle gym. There is also a tennis court, open to the public, free of charge. The Pavillion in the park is available to hold family functions and has two barbecues, fully-equipped kitchen and restrooms. Town Square Nature park has an 800-foot boardwalk which runs through the beautiful Florida tropical landscape to a fishing pier on the intracoastal waterway. Finally, Mayor Bob McEwen Veterans Park sits on the intracoastal waterway and salutes our nation's veterans. It offers benches, barbecues and excellent fishing on the intracoastal waterway.

If you're willing to travel 15-20 minutes from the condo, to beautiful Clearwater, there is the Suncoast Star Playhouse, Gypsy Stage Repertory, Octagon Arts Center, Tampa Bay SUP Stand Up Paddleboarding & Kayaking and Scuba Quest. In St. Petersburg, just a 20-minute drive from the condo, you can visit the Florida International Museum, Florida Holocaust Museum, Sunken Gardens, Derby Lane to watch greyhound racing, Light House Point Marina, St. Petersburg Opera Company, St. Petersburg City Theatre, FreeFall Theatre Company and Florida West Ballet.

You can even take a day-trip to Orlando (a 90-minute drive) to visit Walt Disney World, EPCOT Center, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, Fantasy of Flight, Legoland, and all the other famous Orlando attractions.

Overall, Indian Shores and Levine's 2BD Vacation Getaway will offer you and your family a perfect place to spend a Florida Gulf Coast dream vacation you will remember for years to come.

About Beth Levine

With my sister and her native born and bred husband living in Orlando, we vacationed in the Indian Shores area together for over 20 years. Living in New Jersey, a condo on the beach in Indian Shores was the perfect place for my sister and I to vacation with our husbands and girls every winter.

In 2004, I decided to buy the condo I had always dreamed of owning right on our favorite beach. I knew my sister, daughter and nieces would enjoy vacationing in my condo, and it also gave me an opportunity to share our favorite vacation area with other families.

Our families have wonderful memories of body surfing, collecting seashells and sand dollars, and watching the dolphins travel the gulf coastline. The tons of seashells we've collected and hundreds of family photos we've taken throughout the years remind us of these memorable family vacations. Now that we've been fortunate enough to buy a beautiful condo on the beach, we look forward to sharing it not only with our own family, but are happy to offer it to others who want to enjoy this beautiful area in Florida to create their own memorable family vacations.

To us, the beaches in this area are as beautiful as in the Caribbean and the calm gulf waters provide the perfect surroundings and fun activities for the entire family. Although we have vacationed in many areas of the United States, the sunsets on Florida's gulf coast are breathtaking to see. There is nothing better than lying close to the sound of the soft gentle surf to experience its perfect relaxing pleasure.

So be our guests, and contact us to enjoy our resort condominium on the beach for your vacation on the beautiful Florida Gulf Coast!

Why Beth Levine chose Indian Shores

Our family-friendly building has all individually-owned condos, with owners who take pride in keeping both the building and their condos updated and with many amenities for guests.

We have a very active condo association that looks to continually improve the building, adding a bicycle rack, outdoor shower, new poolside bathroom, new BBQ grills, lounges, and chairs and tables.

In 2012 we replaced all the washer/dryers in the laundry rooms on every floor in the condo building. The personnel in our onsite management office can provide you with change/rolls of quarters for laundry. The machines are reasonably priced at $1.25 for the washers and $1.00 for the dryers.

Our property manager and professional cleaning company, hired to maintain the grounds and common areas of our condo building, do a meticulous job. The cool paver deck that surrounds the building, stairwells and elevator are all very well maintained. We replaced our elevator for one newer and faster just a few years ago.

As a member of the condo Board for over 6 years, I was involved in the decision to install Wi-Fi, free for all owners and guests, and accessible from all the condos, balconies, pool, deck and BBQ/picnic areas. The bandwidth has been increased several times, so that response time and downloads are smooth and completed in a short period of time.

What makes this condo unique

The onsite building office offers the convenience of picking up keys right at the building, and avoiding a stop at a rental office, after a long drive or flight traveling to your vacation destination. Guests are able to pick up keys 24 hrs/day - 7 days/week.

Each condo comes with an assigned parking space. There are additional guest spots available on a first come, first serve basis. A second parking pass must be requested at the onsite office and the office personnel will assign parking. A second parking spot is not guaranteed available, especially during holidays, high season and Spring Break.

Our management company offers free bicycle and free DVD rentals. Please inquire at the office. There is a bicycle rack near the parking garage for locking up rented bicycles.

BBQ grills and picnic area overlook the beach. Grills are charcoal.

Just 1/2 block from our building, across the street on the intracoastal waterway side of Gulf Blvd. is a mini-market. There are several restaurants located in strip malls along Gulf Blvd. that are all walking distance from the condo.

There is a bicycle lane that runs along Gulf Blvd. Traffic is limited to 25 mph on this one-lane in each direction road that travels through the quaint gulf coast communities between Clearwater and St. Pete Beach.

Tampa International Airport is just a 30-minute drive the condo and Clearwater/St. Petersburg is just a 20-minute drive, so check flights out of each airport.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hope to return again to this great condo right on the beach. The owner was very helpful responding to emails and providing answers to all our questions. The condo was very clean and had all the necessities and extras that made our stay very enjoyable.

Great building for family vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent a week of our Florida vacation in this large, open-space condo located right on the beach in Indian Shores. The building has been completely renovated and we loved that everything seemed so new (especially my wife, who tends to be more picky).

The condo itself, is comfortably furnished and we really liked the set-up. The living room, kitchen and dining area is a large, open space, so my wife was able to talk to me and the kids while preparing breakfast or lunch, and it was easy to spend family time together. There are two recliners in the living room, both new and very comfortable for hanging out and watching TV at night.

Being right on the beach was great, and the beach is a beautiful, white soft sand beach. The kids loved that they got to see dolphins almost every day we were there and my wife and I really enjoyed those beautiful sunsets over the gulf. We went for long walks on the beach, collected seashells, and everyone was really friendly.

We also really liked the pool, which was big, with plenty of chairs and tables with umbrellas. The kids liked that the pool was heated, so later in the afternoon, when it gets shady, the water was nice and warm, and they were able to swim right up until dinner time.

We went to the new water park in Indian Rocks Beach and we all had a great time. Indian Shores, for a small town, offers so many activities, and has some really great parks. We visited the bird sanctuary, and the kids loved that (and it was free admission!!)

We went to a couple of great restaurants also. My favorite was Crabby Bills, which was a great seafood place to take the kids.

Overall, a great vacation. We will definitely return to this condo for our next stay in a couple of years.

Very disappointing

  • 3 of 5

After reading the reviews of this condo I was very disappointed when we arrived. The building itself is ok, not 5 star, but ok. The condo, unit 107, is in need of some fixing up. It looks like it hasn't had any work done in it since the 1980s. Everything is old and outdated. Many of the kitchen cabinets are hanging crooked because they're missing hinges and also handles. There are virtually NO amenities: No cooler or folding chairs to take to the beach. These are things travelers do not bring with them and I have had provided at every beach condo I've ever stayed at, which have been several. Not a box of kleenex anywhere, no dishsoap, no bathroom amenities at all. The place seemed mostly clean except there was dried toothpaste all over the bathroom faucet, which made me wonder about the rest of the bathroom. Also, with the furniture being so old and obviously never cleaned there were dark spots on the headrests where you could see grease/dirt. I didn't even want to sit in those chairs. I would not recommend staying here to anyone.

Owner's Response: Hi Sheri - I am sorry you were disappointed with your stay at my condo, and honestly I am surprised by some of your comments and findings. You had sent me a separate email saying you had a great trip, but make no mention of that in the review you wrote. While I know the kitchen needs new cabinets and countertops, the refrigerator and dishwasher are new and the kitchen has all the essentials. I will contact maintenance to have the cabinet hinges replaced and repaired. As for folding chairs, my daughter was there Labor Day weekend and there were chairs at that time. Unfortunately, sometimes they do get broken or guests forget to bring them back from the beach. As for the living room furniture, the recliners are only two years old and generally housekeeping does spot cleaning and all the upholstery gets cleaned twice a year. In terms of amenities, our onsite management office is supposed to provide a welcome package with dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags and some other basic necessities. If it was not provided, I am sorry and I will contact them about this as a problem they need to address. Our guests' comfort is an important priority to my husband and I, and since we live in NJ, we do depend on our onsite management office to keep our condo in good condition. I will be forwarding your review to them, and I assure you that all I will make sure that all the issues are addressed.

Loved Indian Shores and Great Vacation Condo

  • 5 of 5

It was my family and my first trip to Indian Shores and we had a fantastic time. My wife and kids didn't want to leave and we are definitely going to plan a return trip sometime this winter when the kids are off from school.

First, I have to say that the beach in Indian Shores is one of the nicest I have ever been to. The sand is fine and white and the beach is clean and just perfect. The gulf water was just the right temperature and I was able to swim an endless lap, stopping just when I was too tired to swim anymore. I missed my morning swim in the gulf when I had to go back to my Olympic pool at the gym.

The condo building was right on the beach and the location in Indian Shores made it easy to get everywhere. Great restaurants nearby, and going up to Clearwater or down to St. Pete were both just quick rides away. One day we decided to try the trolley, and the kids loved it. The building itself was very well kept, and the people in the office in the building were friendly and very helpful.

The condo was great and had everything we needed. It is a big condo for a 2-bedroom and it was nicely furnished and very comfortable. Although the kitchen is not new, all the appliances worked fine and it was very well equipped so my wife and I cooked breakfast every morning and a couple of dinners. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with our morning coffee and even though it wasn't a gulf view, it was nice just looking out at the palm trees and watching the early morning bicyclers and people walking by on Gulf Blvd.

We are definitely planning to return this winter and hope this condo is available again, as it was perfect for our family. Beth, the owner, always responded quickly to our emails and answered all our questions. Since we had not vacationed here before, she referred us to her website, which had loads of information about things to do and some very good restaurants. It was just a great vacation and I think anyone would enjoy it.

Best Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved our vacation, thanks to the lovely area and beautiful facilities.

The condo is located on a stop with great places to eat, an awesome mini-golf course, convenient shopping, and John's Pass Village and Boardwalk. You will never find yourself short of activities to do.

If you're like me and just want to relax, you're all set. The pool is beautiful and heated, which really helped me venture into the water when it was in the high 70s and low 80s. The condo is located right on the beach, so you can roll out of bed and find yourself on the sand. The condo rooms are big and clean, and the facility staff is helpful and friendly.

If you like to cook, the kitchen is very well-equipped and set up very well for meal preparation. We really had everything we needed for the few nights we decided to cook. The beds were comfortable and so was the living room furniture. Great flat screen TVS in the all room was a nice touch. I highly recommend this condo for a great vacation!

Beautiful Beach. Terrific Condo. A Great Time!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I haven't been on a vacation for more than 5 years, as times have been hard. We got away to FL for a week, and it was a concern to put our long-awaited vacation in Beth's hands. She helped book us a vacation in a lovely condo, exactly what we were looking for, and made sure we knew all the right places to eat, play and see.

If you want to relax, have a great time with the kids, and get what you pay for and more, don't walk, run, to Indian Shores ... and tell Beth "The Cavanaugh Family says hi!"

Indian shores parks

There are three beautiful parks right in Indian shores for you to enjoy during your vacation. They are open to the public and are wonderful places to spend some family time and just enjoy a relaxing walk. They are set among the beautiful Florida foliage and offer a warm tropical atmosphere to watch the boats and maybe even see some dolphins or manatees along the Intracoastal waterway.

Cruises and tours

Enjoy a cruise or tour during your stay at my condo in Indian shores. Here are some i recommend:

The calypso queen is a 150-passenger dinner and sightseeing ship that cruises along the calm waters of Clearwater harbor. Relax and enjoy your dinner and watch dolphins follow along.

Also in Clearwater, cruise away into the fantasy world of swashbucklers on captain memo’s original pirate cruise. Enjoy free soft drinks, beer or wine.

No trip to Florida's gulf coast is complete without seeing dolphins playing in the serene gulf waters. Dolphin encounter, in Clearwater, guarantees a dolphin sighting or another trip is free on any of the one-hour-plus cruises. Enjoy your cruise with unlimited beer, wine and soda.

At Hubbard's marina dolphin watch, located at john’s pass in Madeira beach, cruise on one of the dolphin watch/nature cruises and shop the beautiful boardwalk. At john’s pass in Madeira beach, there are activities for the entire family. Deep-sea fishing trips, seafood restaurant and dolphin watch.

The Clearwater marine aquarium is a nonprofit working aquarium dedicated to public education, marine research, animal assisted therapy, and the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of sick or injured marine animals. See dolphins, sea otters, sea turtles, stingrays, and estuaries. Take the popular sea life safari boat tour to get your picture taken with a dolphin. When you visit the Clearwater marine aquarium, make sure and see winter the dolphin. Winter is a baby dolphin who was rescued after her tail was caught in a crab trap, and who survived when he was made a one-of-a-kind prosthetic tail.
