Your vacation “Hale” (home) has been newly refurbished featuring a luxury kitchen with granite countertops, Italian travertine tile in the bathroom and all the amenities you would expect from home.
Anna Maria Island is a bit of old Florida. It doesn't offer mega resorts or towering condos with crowded beaches, it does offer quiet white sandy beaches and a great family atmosphere. Come see why so many others are finding out that you don’t have to compromise on a great beach vacation.
We hope you decide to stay with us.
Mahalo and Aloha.
We have been married for 30 years and have recently discovered the 'Art of Hospitality'. 'We never thought we would be in the hospitality industry, but absolutely love it. We enjoy meeting our new friends and doing what is necessary to make their stay a memorable one.
Danny Chin purchased this house in 2013
When we first saw Anna Maria Island, we were surprised at how little it was built up and how the waters were so clear. It truly is 'Old Florida'. It rivals many Caribbean destinations and is in our backyard. No passports required!
This hale (home) caught our attention because Suite 1 was an original beach bungalow built in 1924. Since then additions have been added that have really utilized it's proximity to the beach.
Our hale (pronounced Ha-lay) has a third floor rooftop deck that gives guest a unparalleled view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. The memories of sunsets will carry you through the dark cold winters of up north.
The homes interior have been designed by us and all the renovation work was done by Dan, Dan truly loves envisioning how the house should look and have it come together. Because we live nearby and are hands on, any issues or request are handled immediately. The suites were designed with what we felt would bring the most enjoyment for our guest.
All of the suites have been fully refurbished with Italian Travetine tile in the kitchen and bathroom and bamboo flooring elsewhere.
Beachside is centrally located in Bradenton Beach. The historic Bridge Street is a block away and top restaurants and activities are all just a short walk away.
Walk, take the free trolley or drive, it's your choice.
My son & I had a wonderful stay in the Ohana beachside studio. The owners were very easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. This was exactly what we were looking for! We will definitely return!
very clean, most everything in kitchen and bathroom you need for your trip, there was some beach supplies for kids and adults, literally steps away from a beach that was never overly crowded.we would definately book this location again.
We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Danny and Brenda were so helpful and so accommodating.
There were so many restaurant within walking distance and the grocery store is a short 5 minute drive away.
The apartment was perfect for the two of us. We had a great time!
The Ohana Hale was the perfect choice for what turned out to be a perfect vacation. Our unit was clean and so comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, glassware, pots and pans, about anything you would need. The furnished bedding and bath towels were great, we especially enjoyed the beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella. You honestly just walk across the street to the beach! There are several good restaurants in walking distance as well as shops and little boutiques. The Bridge Street Pier was just a short walk and a nice place to frequent and chat with locals. Fishing is allowed on this pier so it was fun to watch the fishermen. We even saw dolphins swimming near the bridge one day. During our stay the weather was good to very good. My husband got in several rounds of golf. Bradenton has several golf courses which are an easy drive from the Ohana Hale. Danny and Brenda are the best "hosts"! We simply can't say enough good things about them, or our stay at the Ohana Hale, or the Island, that's why we have already booked for next year! See you in 2016!
Very clean, what a view from the upper deck. Do not need a car can walk to everything. Free beautiful and new fishing pier. Owners are fantastic and offer many tips to make your stay enjoyable. We felt at home with them and the other guests. Lots of great fellowship.
"Could not imagine a better stay and a better place. The beach condo was awesome. Fantastic living room with great furniture, flat screen tv, Bluetooth stereo system, etc. A full kitchen and bath tucked into a very efficient and easy access plan. The bedroom was perfect - nice and comfortable and quiet - also with its own flat screen tv.
Outside includes both a front porch overlooking the street and town area, and also a private porch and patio area all for your use - with great patio furniture and even a grill included.
The upstairs outdoor deck with picnic table and sofa is a must! Great view of the ocean and sunset each night.
The location couldn't be better - 100 steps to the beach and one street over from Bridge Street with great cafes, bars and the best breakfast at the Island Creperie.
Brenda and Danny were so kind and helpful.
Highest recommendation possible and can't wait to return! Thank you!!!"
Definitely come here for the sunsets, but plan to stay for the
sunrises, too. Anna Maria Island—a wisp of a seven-mile island
along Florida's West Coast—is a place that revels in the end of day. As the sun slips spectacularly past the horizon, bongs clang, music plays, cameras click, and viewers try to guess the exact time of daylight's finale. Yes, it's a nightly celebration not to be missed, but come morning, you still will find plenty to do until the evening ritual starts again.
Anna Maria Island still retains the 'Old Florida' feel that makes this a great place to bring your family. No huge condos or resorts helps keep the beaches uncrowded.
Don't want to drive after you arrive, no problem, we have a free trolley that runs the length of the island.
Eateries abound from inexpensive cheap eats to a top rated Zagat's restaurant. You can relax on the beach while sipping your favorite sunset libations while listening to live music at one of the beach side eateries.
A favorite activity is the Ice Cream Crawl where you hit all the ice cream shops on the island. (Think Duval St Bar Crawl in Key West but the kids can participate in this one.
Love nature? Aside from seeing dolphins swimming in the Gulf and a multitude of sea birds, Robinson's Preserve (Free Admission) nearby offers 4 miles of hiking and biking trails, a 5-story observation tower that offers a panoramic view of the area and kayaking through lush mangroves.
