I had been coming to Anna Maria Island for years, when my parents, who were from northern Michigan, first started spending their winters here. I have now called AMI home for over 20 years! I own An Island Place Realty and Coastal Cottages AMI, which handles vacation rentals.
On one of my visits to see my parents years ago, I ended up buying this house that was only steps away from the one they used to rent.
Island Place Cottage has a larger 2-BR cottage behind it. You can rent both rentals to accommodate larger parties! When booking ask about Pineapple Cottage!
We stayed here for two weeks, January 2014. It is well located, spotless and adorable. Everything you need for a perfect vacation on the island . . . we didn't want to leave!
Clean and bright. Well equipped although for a longer stay the kitchen needed a bit more (e g no paring knife). The management company was very responsive and helpful. Especially good spot for folks without a car. Everything in walking distance. It would have been a nice addition to have beach chairs available.
It was our first time to Anna Maria Island. Didn't know where to stay. Found Island Place Cottage. Love it! It was clean. Walking distance to everything. Only an hour away from Tampa airport. Very convenient app to follow with great information once you booked the place. They also made it very easy to get in once you got there since we didn't arrive till late that night. Highly recommend this cottage. Loved the Sand Bar Restaurant. it was walking distance and great food and you could watch the sunset there. Ate breakfast at the Sign of the mermaid restaurant. Excellent place for breakfast.
Lovely place clean and in a great spot near everything
This is such a great little place. It has everything you need. The pictures don't do it justice. My husband and I had a magnificent time on the Island and we had the perfect place to come back to after the beach, fishing, bike riding...etc. It's a short walk to the beach and conveniently located. The General Store, cute shops, and the Sandbar restaurant are all nearby. We visited on a busy weekend, but it seems like the North end is a little quieter. We loved every thing about this place.
An Island Place Cottage was really great. We had so much fun walking up to the beach, eating grouper sandwiches at the Sandbar and Waterfront Restaurants, riding the trolley, renting the double surrey (wow - what a workout!! :) )and enjoying breathtaking views at sunset on the white powdery beaches. We are already making plans to come back next year and stay for a week. Thanks again for all of your hospitality during our short stay.
Beach, fun and sun are waiting for you!
