This is the top floor of a large building which also houses the caretaker in a separate lower building. During your stay you will hear not a peep because the floors/ceilings are double-slung sound-deadening drywall.

I retired to Sedona in 2004, after renting here 8 times! I know the area inside & out, and purchased this home for something to do and for retirement income. We try to keep the rates reasonable and consider this to be a great value, with privacy, centrality, absence of traffic or noise, off the beaten path yet within blocks of all the activity you could want.
And if you don't know, Sedona is considered a hiker's & mountain bikers' paradise.
David Congleton purchased this cottage in 2011
We have installed all new windows, floors, carpets, furnishings, beds --- all within the past three years.
Everything works ... and if it doesn't we fix it!
The whole place still has a 'new' feeling that is palpable. And very artsy - not a sterile rental....
If you prefer a southwestern 'homey' stay, and golf resorts are not your thing, this is the place for you ... colorful, well appointed, comfortable & inspiring.

What a gift to wake up to a warm fire and incredible mountain views. This home was a great choice for us. It offered everything we needed to enjoy Sedona and all that it offers. Thank you!

No kidding. Im afraid to write too much for fear of never being able to get back in but if David promises I'll always have a spot, ok. :) First, my sweetie and I were going to cancel due to health struggles. Not ONLY was David sympathetic and offered to help us in any way he could but he also immediately offered 3 friends/practitioners/healers and all of their contact info. He is what Sedona is about. So many genuinely kind hearted people. Love and Healing. :) The house: WOW! Everything the other reviews say and more is true. The views are the best of anywhere I've stayed. Everyday waking up to that view...it was hard to leave it! The porch, the grill, the endless firewood and fireplace., washer and dryer, the space is open and airy and so comfy. The sofa, the huge chair that spins in front of the amazing views, its all in the pictures. What isnt in the description is the helpfulness of Cori at every turn...whatever we needed she offered her help with. The kindness and love and warmth in the space. There is a "vibe" in Sedona and that same vibe is in this space. You wont find that in any hotel or resort for sure. We LOVED your space David and its the first time I actually felt sadness leaving Sedona. I felt like I was leaving "home", more than just a vacation. Oh! And for those of you visiting: you must go to PISA LISA! Not only are their gourmet pizzas and decadent salads amazing but their staff are even more so. They became fast friends who parted with hugs and tears after only 10 days. We CANNOT wait to return. I mean literally we are looking at the calendar now haha. David: Thank you for sharing your home, for your healers and for being SUCH a blessing to us when we needed it most! Xoxo. Christy and John
Stayed here 1 week in December with husband, son & fiancee (he proposed on Devils Bridge). Plenty of space for the four of us, clean house on arrival, within easy walking distance to many shops but in a quiet neighborhood. We loved the views out the front windows - just like the pictures on the website. So much to do in Sedona, excellent hiking, good restaurants. Would probably stay here again if we revisit Sedona.
The view from Sedona Spice is fantastic, and it is in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk to Sedona Uptown. We enjoyed the short, scenic drive to many trailheads; not enough can be said about the terrific hiking in this area!
Three of our favorite nearby restaurants were Elote, The Hudson, and Cafe Paleo Brio. If you want an amazing meal for a special occasion (at a high price), we recommend Che-Ah-Chi at Enchantment Resort.
Our week at Sedona Spice was everything we had hoped for.

Sedona is broadly divided into three areas:
1. Village of Oak Creek
2. West Sedona
3. Uptown Sedona
The VOC is actually 6 miles south of the town of Sedona, and is primarily a golf & retirement community.
West Sedona is the 'working' part of town, with strip malls & commercial features. Some views.
Uptown Sedona is closest to the red rocks & hogs the best views... stunning vistas and cathedral-like mountains, nearby. The downside is that it is a 10-minute drive to groceries and drugstores.
