Two Bedrooms, Two Baths With Wide Mountain Views & 25-foot Living Room
About Dave Congleton
I retired to Sedona in 2004, after renting here 8 times! I know the area inside & out, and purchased this home for something to do and for retirement income. We try to keep the rates reasonable and consider this to be a great value, with privacy, centrality, absence of traffic or noise, off the beaten path yet within blocks of all the activity you could want. Customers seem to agree: 74 Excellent Reviews & counting. And if you don't know, Sedona is considered a hiker's & mountain bikers' paradise. And...a singular destination for spirituality seekers everywhere. [Be sure to visit Sedona Creative Life Center on Shnebly Road]. Four wineries in Cornville.

Why Dave Congleton chose Uptown Sedona
I recently spent several hours looking at our competition -- boy, there sure are beau coup nice rentals out there, dozens more than 8 years ago when we started. This new supply-demand equation will keep downward pressure on rates, thus intensifying competition -- a good thing. So....... I had to do some introspection to answer the question - why Sedona Spice.... and what I came up with is my focus on making visitors happy, keeping everything clean & sharp, replacing wornout beds/linens/cushions etc. This house is not some old structure someone listed just to bring in a few extra dollars - I run it like a business and it is my Primary source of income at age 75. I spent the first year of ownership sinking more than $140K into the infrastructure---fixing every single item mentioned in the professional Home Inspection I had done before closing escrow. We installed new windows, floors, carpets, furnishings, beds --- When you walk in, it should feel, well .... new and fresh! Everything works ... and if it doesn't we fix it pronto. The whole place still has a comfy feeling that is palpable. And very artsy - not a sterile rental with garage sale art on the walls....much of the art displayed was painted or carved by myself or my partner, Allison. .... you will feel like you are in a home... away from home. But don't take my word for it --- read the Reviews!

Sedona Spice, every picture you see is real, an owner that is so very wonderful to work with, a view that could be created only by God❤️Even though we had 4 days of rain in our 9 day stay it made no difference to us, it just meant we had more time to spend at HOME❤️Thank You, David
Every year we try to extend our stay!
Don’t hesitate to book here. We have stayed here yearly...going on year 4? We love this property, its gorgeous view, it’s location and of course it’s owner (Hi Dave!). So much we joke we may start leaving clothes for next year haha. Sedona, Sedona Spice and all the people we’ve met along the way are just magic. 💗
I hereby declare Christy & John to be "Guests of the Year"!
I thank you so much for your always-terrific reviews but also for your generous spirit!
My precious masseuse is also now one of your admirers!
And ... speaking of leaving clothes (very funny), thank you for the cute little coffee maker you left behind on purpose!!
We loved staying at Sedona Spice. Stunning views, great location and thoughtfully appointed comfortable spaces. Wish we could have stayed longer!
You will not be disappointed. Well appointed place, incredible view of the red rocks, sunrise and stars through giant windows, quiet neighborhood. I'll be returning.
Boy, Rebecca, I really am grateful for this brief & powerful description of Sedona Spice!!
I did not hear one peep out of you during your week here, which is unusual but appreciated... while I stand ready to help, it's always nice when people don't need me. And oh... thanks for leaving the place clean.
We stayed at Sedona Spice for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. The house was beautiful, very clean and quiet. We had everything we needed to make healthy meals. Dave is very kind and easy to communicate with. We loved how close we were to trails. Dave, thank you so much for your hospitality. We greatly appreciate it. We hope to be back in the future.
Many thanks, Alex, for your thoughtful review and your tips about the kitchen.... I will add those items.
On its own, Sedona is well known around the world, considering its population is only around 11.000 residents.
The city has an image as a mystical & spiritual red rock tourist community; a popular destination for hikers, vacationers, artists, yogi's, and those seeking health and healing.
Now Sedona is emerging as a culinary destination thanks to the Hudson, Mariposa, Creekside and other delights.
Uptown Sedona is closest to the red rocks & hogs the best views... stunning vistas and cathedral-like mountains, nearby. The downside is that it is a 10-minute drive to groceries and drugstores.
Sedona Spice is located in the very heart of the excitement, and yet you will find it to be quiet and out of the way. No noisy traffic and nobody parking in your front yard. Come and See!!
