Pool / Spa
Will not use stayalfred after this experience.
Stayalfred, the location was incredible with beautiful views. We read reviews that getting the key at one location involved a few steps; that was fine. What made this a dealbreaker to stayalfred again was that the couch bed for our third party was *extremely* uncomfortable, and when we requested the air mattress that other reviewers had said was in the closet (to deal with the uncomfortable couch bed), it took more than 24 hours to get an associate to stop of the *inflater* for the air mattress that was in the closet. While the customer service reps were super kind, they were unable to authorize anyone to bring us necessities in under 24 hours. So that meant more than a day for them to deliver the items we needed to compensate for the poor or limited quality of necessary household items—i.e., a useable third bed and extra blankets to add warmth the monastic one they had on each bed. (No comforters were on the beds; just a sheet and a thin blanket.)
On the last day I called in to request to extend my check-out for less than two hours—because I couldn’t physically move my partner’s luggage and mine out the door while he was in a meeting—and suddenly, they had to send the cleaning crew there to clean immediately(!). (Do they have the ability to send a crew with a blanket or an air mattress there quickly? If they can send a cleaning crew there that fast, I believe so.) The cleaning crew was done in 45 minutes. I sat in the apartment hallway, awkwardly, on the floor for about two hours. The next door neighbors were so kind—one even offered me a chair as I camped out in the hallway with all of our luggage. We won’t use stayalfred again.
Loved the location. The apartment was very clean and orderly. The shower was marginal due to the fact that it put out very little water. We were also disappointed in the fact that there was no additional toilet paper in the apartment besides the two half rolls in the restrooms when we arrived consequently we ran out.
Stunning Puget Sound Scene
The view from the apartment was beautiful! Absolutely, quintessential Seattle feel. That was spectacular and worth every penny. The unit itself was very spacious and well appointed. The kitchen was lacking a few of the basic items one would want (big fry pan, potato masher, plastic cups for children etc.) but there are so many eating out options it wasn't a huge problem for the short stay. The bathrooms have no heaters in them so they are quite cold when bathing. Needs are very comfortable, except for the hide away. Which has its usual Graham cracker thin mattress except the frame was put together wrong so the springs are poorly placed right into your body. Glad the kids were sleeping on it. And the final word of advice I have for fellow travelers. The check in process is awesome and overall very smooth. The only thing I want to tell others is read ALL THE CHECK IN INSTRUCTIONS before your arrival. This particular building we stayed in was NOT where we checked in. So after a long day of travel you think you are there so you unload all the kids and stuff just to find out you are actually staying in a building 1.5 blocks away. Ugh! Just gotta say glad we bright a wagon!
Place was great!
Amazing property and location! DEF would stay hear again. Checking in was a total hassle though....
Great location and nice view.
Stayed with a colleague for a conference we were attending. Took a little looking to find the right entrance but other than that things were great. The place was clean and comfortable. There were some minor broken things around the place, normal wear and tear I suppose. We had a decent view of the bay and this was a perfect location.
Great view and location
The property is a spacious well laid out 2 BR apartment. New and clean. Two things that made me downgrade my experience. First, both TVs and cable are ANCIENT and very poor quality. Second, and much less of an issue is that there are no shower caddies. Soap, shampoo and all goes on the shower floor. That is a $25 fix at the Container Store.
Fix the TVs and we will be back.
Literally in the heart of Seattle! Next to Pike Street market, The Seattle Art Museum, the Harbor, Piers, the best shopping and restaurants Seattle has to offer!
