Choosing between the many nearby activities just might be the most difficult part of your visit! So how will you begin your day? Perhaps a stroll along the beach just outside your door? Watch the sun peek over the Atlantic while sipping your morning coffee on the private master bedroom balcony. Relax on the spacious deck or tan beside the your 16X32 foot saltwater pool (shared with unit B guests only). Or maybe you'll venture out! Pleasure Island has many wonderful attractions to keep everyone happy. Activities including historic Fort Fisher, aquarium, sailing/boating, fishing, and shopping are some things offered. Great restaurants are located on the island and close to fine dining in Wilmington, NC. Each night offers a different adventure from Sunday night open air movies at the lake to Thursday night fireworks and live music at the boardwalk. We have one of the best fireworks display around. This is a weekly event during the summer. Don't leave the boardwalk without buying a Britt's Doughnut (ask anyone, they will tell you this is the best doughnut, ever).

Lulla-by-the Sea is a beautiful 5 bedroom/4 bath, oceanfront home, with private beach access and elevator. This three story duplex offers the best of the beach with amazing ocean views from the second and third level decks while comfortably accommodating up to 13 guests. Lulla-by-the-Sea (A) is bright and spacious with new furnishings and almost 2900 sq ft. Enjoy the complimentary wireless internet service and cable TV.

Upon entering the home from your private garage, you will have elevator access to all three floors. Also on this level, there is a large bedroom with a private bath. This room has bunk beds and is equipped with a flat screen TV. It is great for teenagers to get away from the adults and have a private area.

An open concept second floor provides all the space and seating your group needs. The beautifully decorated living room opens onto a large deck providing breathtaking views of the ocean and pool. This plan allows easy entertaining for large groups. The dining area includes a large dining room table with seating for 8, while five people can sit at the bar. A completely well equipped kitchen with granite countertops, 4 burner gas cooktop, and stainless steel appliances makes cooking a breeze. The floor is packed with upgrades such as a 48” high-def, internet connected 3D TV can display content from your Net Flix or Hulu account, double crown moldings, chair rail, gorgeous wood floors, gas grill on the deck, and a beautiful fireplace. Also located on this floor is a beautifully decorated bedroom with a queen bed, walk out balcony, large closet, and flat screen TV. It has a bathroom with bath/shower combo.

The top floor offers three additional bedrooms and two bathrooms. The middle bedroom, with large closet, has two twin beds. The shared bathroom has a bath/shower combo. The large street side bedroom has a king size bed, walk out balcony, and flat screen TV. Lastly, the stunning master suite is located on this level. It has has a king bed, flat screen TV, and an extra-large walk in closet. Relax in the private bathroom with the deep jetted tub, double sink and separate tiled shower. Off the master suite, a large private balcony provides breathtaking views of the pool and ocean. For your convenience, the washer and dryer are located on this level as well.

Wonderful location! Beautiful house for large families.

This is the perfect location for large families and friends to gather and enjoy a week at the beach. The town is quaint, yet offers a boardwalk and weekly fireworks. The house is located just steps away from the ocean. The beach is not crowded and offers hours of fun and relaxation. This was our second year and we hope to make it a tradition for years to come.

Summer vacation

The house is beautiful. It is well decorated and in amazing condition. The beach is right there as well as a pool. Rodger was great, he greeted us, walked us around and answered when we had a question! Thank you Rodger.

The shared pool was no worries at all. All the neighbors were so nice and all there for the same reason to vacation. I would highly recommend this house.

WARNING! This is a duplex and not a single family home

We had a good time at this property. The views were spectacular and there was plenty of furnishings throughout the home. The beach was a very short walk and was very clean. Only thing that I wouldn't want to caution someone on is read the ad very well because buried in the middle of the ad it does say duplex, somehow my wife and I overlooked this and so did the tenant that was in the adjoining duplex. He was shocked as well as I, we both thought we were renting a single-family home. Since there were neighbors right next-door the pool was not private, we had to share the pool with our neighbors which was not exactly the vacation that we were looking for. The property manager Roger was absolutely awesome upon check-in but I wish he had made it very clear upon us reserving the property that it was indeed a duplex. There are three almost identical houses built literally side-by-side with maybe 30 feet in between each one. They share a common deck that goes all the way from one house to the third house. Each home is a duplex so you are talking about having six different families occupying similar spaces. There is one pool for each of the duplexes with the center duplex actually having to smaller pools. We got lucky that all of our neighbors were very nice but again as I said it is not exactly the vacation we thought we had signed up for. The home was very clean and well-maintained with the exception of the living room couch which was very stained and we actually felt uncomfortable sitting on it without first laying down a blanket. The location was extremely ideal and convenient to great restaurants and fun for the children.

Reviews allow us to see what we’re doing well and evaluate areas of opportunity. Our goal is to provide a “5 Star” experience to every person who visits our properties, without exception. Since 2008, we have achieved that standard in every property we have represented until now. Our business is based on core values and guiding principles that shape how we interact with every potential guest. Two of those are honesty and integrity. We meet and greet each guest at the property when they arrive. We do this to make sure everyone is comfortable, has all of their questions answered, and gets their vacation off to a great start. When this particular guest arrived, he made the comment that he didn’t realize this property was a duplex. I was immediately concerned. Through our conversation, he admitted that he had looked at the pictures and read the reviews, but had not taken the time to review most of the other information provided. He also admitted that he had seen in the contract and the Welcome Letter this property was a duplex but “it just didn’t register.” The main reason for referencing our conversation is to highlight the extent we provide clarity and transparency around our properties. In the main description on the property website, “duplex” is stated 2 times in the first couple of paragraphs. When a guest sends an inquiry, my response to them includes the words “oceanfront duplex” twice in the first 10 sentences of the email. Also a statement is included that the “pool is shared with side B guests.” When the contract is sent, “Lulla by the Sea, Unit A” is listed at the top. The Welcome Letter email states “Lulla by the Sea (A)” as well. 4 separate documents are provided to each guest referencing that this property is a duplex. Lastly, I speak directly to each guest including the gentleman who reviewed this property when they are ready to book. This gives guests a chance to ask questions. On a final note, our cleaning crews have been referenced in reviews and recognized for their quality of work. The referenced sofa is inspected along with an extensive list of other items prior to every check in. If any item does not meet an extremely high standard, it is replaced or cleaned. We take seriously our responsibility to provide an outstanding vacation retreat and think that is reflected in all previous reviews.

Fabulous home, perfect for a relaxed and comfortable family gathering--ages newborn to 80!

We had a six day visit with our three children and their young families and "grands" and enjoyed every minute--the pool, the large patio, the direct access to the beach. There was plenty of everything - patio furniture, dining chairs, dishes, towels, cooking items. The layout was perfect, with the bedrooms on three floors allowing for privacy and segregating families with early bedtimes. The elevator was a lifesaver for moving in and for our elderly guests. Everyone is already asking me to book again for Memorial Day next year. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us!
