About Mark Stowes

I am a vice president of marketing for a healthcare software development company. I live in Norwood, just south of Boston, Massachusetts. I have two sons in college. My sister and I own this home.

Mark Stowes purchased this house in 2013

Why Mark Stowes chose Falmouth

My grandparents had a home on Great Bay, which is the next bay over from where this house is located - this home is on a bay called Little Pond. My mother now lives in my grandparents' home. I have wonderful childhood memories of summers on the Cape, including boating, fishing, crabbing, clamming and quahogging on the bays and swimming in the ocean. Also, there are many lovely places to walk and bike along the bays and beaches.

What makes this house unique

I love the beautiful, panoramic views of the bay and ocean. It's tranquil and wonderful to watch the swans, ducks, geese and other water fowl on the bay. It's a great place to kayak, walk, and then relax with a cup of coffee on the deck. The sunrises and sunsets are just beautiful.

The home is centrally-located. It's within a mile to the main ocean. It's easy to walk or bike to historic downtown Falmouth and other shopping areas. Falmouth Heights is a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with lovely bay and ocean views. The people you meet are all very pleasant.

This house more than met our needs. We went with two families, and there was plenty of room in this tidy house. The house was charming, and the deck was relaxing and complete with a peaceful and beautiful view. The beds were very comfortable. The home is walkable to many places. The owner is very prompt and thorough to answer questions. This was a great find.

The View Says It All!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful experience in this home in June. Weather was perfect and the house was very well suited for us. The sunroom was perfect for those days where it was a little too chilly to sit on the deck. The view from the kitchen window can’t be beat. You’ll love doing dishes there!! Would like to do a trompe l’oeil of that view to look at from my kitchen window at home! We’ve been renting homes on the Cape for over 14 years and this one is easily one of the best. Falmouth is our favorite area on The Cape. The house is well equipped and Mark is so accommodating and easy to reach. The location is very convenient to get to stores, beaches and restaurants—many within walking distance, but the home itself is tucked back into a very quiet residential neighborhood. Highly recommend this rental and hope to return next year.

Very relaxing vacation, superb house

  • 5 of 5

The house is very nice, convenient location and high quality of all households in the house. The bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen were loaded with everything what we need in a house. We felt like home!

Very organized owner, we had extra towels, detergent, kitchen and bath supplies and the beds were very comfortable. Excellent quality !

The house was very clean and well maintained.

We were a group of 7 adults and 2 children and we had enough room, we enjoyed the nice deck with a beautiful view of the pond.

Close to Falmouth Heights beach, but we preferred to drive to Old Silver beach - because of the warmer water and sandy shores.

We would like to come back next summer!!!

Thanks Mark!

Great House Away from the Hustle and Bustle of the Cape

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I were one of four retired couples that rented this beautiful house in Late August, 2015. It was more spacious and comfortable than we imagined. We drew lots for the bedrooms and each couple though they had the best room. The kitchen was full stocked with utensils, glasses and dishes. I particularly liked the outside shower and the kayaks in the garage (which the guys used to explore Little Pond), and the deck from which I watch the two osprey search for breakfast, and the sunrise over Little Pond each morning. The owner, Mark, was very accommodating. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.

The perfect property!

  • 5 of 5

We recently came home from a fantastic stay and are already talking about coming back. I was travelling with my in-laws, a total of 1 single person, 2 other couples, and us, a family with a baby and a toddler. We are all fairly different, yet everyone loved it and had an amazing time. The set up allows for time apart or together and the setting is so idyllic no one wanted to leave. We loved the kayaks, the BBQ, the indoor/outdoor space. There was even a Walmart nearby so for 15$ we bought a small baby pool for the kids. My son and brother in law loved all the ducks and geese in the water and everyone loved the short walk to the beach. Lots of basics already in the house, so check before you buy anything. Grocery stores/pharmacies close by made staying with little kids a snap. So many amazing things to do around the island, and most things a fairly easy drive. The beach was lovely, with space to park a stroller in view at the beach to the right. Some days were windy (same all over Cape Cod) so I would suggest a beach umbrella that screws into the ground if you're taking one. Also, if you're travelling with small kids I would recommend a travel black-out blind - our 2 yo who normally sleeps until 7:30 was up by 6:30 every day (but maybe that was just the excitement). Highly, highly, highly recommend!!!!
