Newly Remodeled Condo with Sunset View

This new vacation rental is the 'Calm of Siesta', as you enter with a full view of the Gulf of Mexico and Siesta Key Beach. The property has just been newly transformed to accommodate our guests best welcome to Siesta. The property is equipped with a full service/ stocked kitchen, for all your cooking and bar needs. There is a granite island in the center that seats 4, with lots of other counter space if needed. The living room is furnished with a full size couch, love seat, Vintage Wine Bar with supplies, HD Television /cable and internet. Pass through here to the 'Main Attraction Room', the enclosed Lanai, overlooking the Gulf. The Lanai is enclosed with large Bay Windows to relax and watch the sunset and watch for Dolphins! The master bedroom is furnished with a queen size Italian lacquer Bedroom set with plenty of drawer space. The full size master bath is surrounded by travertine tile, equipped with enclosed shower and plenty of cabinet space. The Guest Room is also furnished with a queen size wicker bed , two dressers, and a tv. Both bedrooms have large walk in closets. The second bath is a travertine tiled, full size with shower enclosure and is adjacent to the guest room. Just outside the front door there is a storage closet equipped with 4 beach chairs, beach towels, beach toys for the little ones and umbrella. There is outdoor seating with a garden water fountain to sit or take a 'Siesta', if you prefer. The property has a carport and guest parking space right behind building. Additional parking would be subject for approval.

We purchased this property and began renting in 2014. We had viewed quite a few other condo/ home vacation rentals in Siesta Key. This property, by far, stood out amongst the rest, immediately presenting a unbeatable view from the Lanai windows as soon as you enter the front door. Aside from the immaculate, exceptional floor plan, we were taken back by the natural beauty of this property. We came from the Polar Vortex to Siesta Key and what an awesome change of scenery and atmosphere. I brought my 92-year old Mom who thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful view from the cozy, comfy chair in the Sun Room. It gave her much peace. The convenient elevator in the building made it easy for her to come and go. The condo is clean and beautifully furnished, and the kitchen area well equipped and roomy.



For walkers, Siesta Key Village is a short and pleasant walk from the condo. Of course, with Mom we drove everywhere; so everything from Church, to the Village with its cute restaurants and shops, and of course,, the beach was very convenient.



A great place to vacation and rest and very importantly, the price was right.

Had a nice time. Great location right across the street from the beach, nothing blocking view. Needs some brighter bulbs in the lamps, hard to read. Would come back.

Fabulous condo in a great location

We were fortunate enough to spend two weeks at this beautiful condo. It was all we could hope for and more. Clean, quiet, all the amenities of home with beautiful views. Thank you for a fabulous vacation destination.

Great location - responsive owner

My wife and I spent a little over three weeks at the condo. The location of the condo is terrific, on the less crowded part of the beach. Just walk across the road, and you are there. It is also located close to the village center, and you can walk there in the evening for a drink.

Matte was exceedingly responsive to a couple of issues we encountered. I was unable to get the TV working, and called Matte. Within a few hours, I received a call from Comcast, and the issue was resolved. The dishwasher died, and when I informed Matte, he had a repairman come to the condo within a day. Unfortunately for Matte, the dishwasher had to be replaced, and that was done in a couple of days. So, if you rent this place, you have a brand new dishwasher.

There are a couple of issues with the condo that we experienced. If you do much cooking, it’s a problem. I suspect (not sure) that the electric stove is somewhat old, and we found it difficult to control the burners. While the condo is capable of handling four (2-bed rooms/2-baths), can’t say the same for the dishes, cutlery, etc. The two of us had to wash dishes every day in order to have clean dishes – with four, it will be almost impossible. Several of the dishes were chipped. I informed Matte of the situation, and I suspect he will address it.

The one thing that took us by surprise was how dark the place is – unlike the photos on the website. The gulf-side is bright, with light streaming through the large windows. However, the living area and the kitchen remain dark – we had the lights on pretty much all the time. Not sure what if anything can be done to remedy the situation – other than brighter bulbs.

While we feel comfortable recommending the condo, primarily because of the owner and location, we felt that we should share our thoughts and experiences so that any future renter is aware of the issues.

We really enjoyed our stay at "The Calm at Siesta! We had everything we needed. The Location was right on the beach and close to the village. Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful Condo and Service

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Siesta and we were very fortunate to have found this condo. The condo exceeded our expectations in terms of size, view, appliances, and location. If I were to go back to Siesta, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. This affordable condo is the perfect getaway from a busy lifestyle! I highly recommend this condo to anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune!
