Great space

2 couples enjoyed our stay in lovely cabin. Spacious, clean & well appointed. Close to Bar Harbor & entrance to Acadia National Park. We give this cabin a 4 only lacked a couple more reading lamps in bedrooms.

Owner's Response: Junelle, thanks for the nice review! We're adding an additional reading lamp and table in the downstairs bedroom on both sides of the king bed. Thanks for the suggestion!

Great place to stay and enjoy Acadia

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at this cabin for a week and we really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was exactly what we expected. The cabin also had a pack and play which was a plus for me as a parent of a toddler. It is close to Bar Harbor - about 6 miles. Highly recommend this place.

Perfect. In every way. Wish we'd stayed longer in Bar Harbor and fewer days at the beach!

  • 5 of 5

Our family felt....sad to leave! Like we were leaving our own cozy home! This cabin was literally perfect. We couldn't have imagined a better place to spend our time. The proximity to Bar Harbor village and Acadia National park was just right. Loved being out in nature at the cabin. My husband and I did a fire in the fire pit each night while our girls slept. Veena has done a great job decorating and keeping the cabin well stocked. This was a wonderful trip. I truly wish we'd had more time there and maybe fewer at the beach. Oh well - next time for sure!!!

Owner's Response: Thank you, Caroline, we're so glad you enjoyed the cabin. Bypass the beach and head straight to the cabin next time! ;) We're so glad you found the it cozy and inviting -- that's exactly what we set out to do and really appreciate it when we hear from guests that they had a wonderful time. Enjoy the rest of the fall and come back up again!

Loved the Bar Harbor Log Cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for us. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bar Harbor yet we were only a few minutes away. The cabin is well maintained and was exactly as the pictures show. The only suggestion is maybe a fan for the downstairs bedroom. The dehumidifier puts out heat and sometimes made the room stuffy. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay there again if we visit Bar Harbor again. Watch out for deer. There were deer on our road where we turned off to go to the cabin. Almost every evening when returning to the cabin we encountered one. We ate at Geddy's, Paddy's, Testa's and Jordon Pond House and enjoyed them all. Had ice cream at different places and all were good. We loved Acadia National Park. Had a picnic on the rocks near Sand Beach. We recommend the whale watching cruise. At one time there were 13 whales in sight of our boat. Be sure to dress warm for that one though. Wonderful vacation.

Owner's Response: Very cool that you saw some deer -- maybe they like hanging out near the cabin for the same reasons you did, quiet and less hustle and bustle of the downtown Bar Harbor! We now have a nice fan in the basement, and guests can always turn off the little dehumidifier if things get warm. Come visit again!

Wonderful, comfortable home in a great locaton

  • 5 of 5

This is a terrific house. It is warm and cozy with just the right amount of space and a great location. We never felt far from anywhere on Mt. Desert Island or the bridge to the mainland. It is a very private house surrounded by trees and very quiet. The house would be great for four adults and two children. I think it would be crowded for six adults. There were only two of us so it was very comfortable. It was very well appointed with everything you could need including a lobster pot, some condiments and seasonings. There is a charcoal grill too and everything you could need in the kitchen. (Could add a bigger frying pan and some more lobster crackers.) We hope to return to this house again in the future. BTW - the Hannaford grocery store in Ellsworth, before you cross the bridge to the Island, is the closest large grocery store. They sell beer and wine also. If you have a disability, you have to go 3 steps up into the house but then two bedrooms, a bath, the kitchen, living room and dining room are on one floor. The Master Bedroom and bath are downstairs.
