About Barbara Moskol
I am a retired guidance counselor. I worked in public schools for over 25 years, and also worked 5 years overseas in international schools in Bangladesh and China. My partner in life, Tom Millay and I live in Eastport and find being near the water refreshing to our spirits.
Barbara Moskol purchased this Apartment in 1998
Why Barbara Moskol chose Eastport
We purchased this property in 1998 because it was the one property in Eastport we were really interested in, beyond our house, which is beautiful too. In the time we have owned it, we have poured our hearts and souls into improving the building both inside and out. Since we were in education this meant we could only afford to do a little at a time, so it took us many years to reach the point where we had something that we were proud of, and willing to rent to visitors on vacation.
What makes this Apartment unique
This property sits right on the harbor of Eastport. From almost any window, or on the deck, one can sit and watch the ships, lobster boats, fishing boats coming in or going out. One may even see whales, seals, porpoises from here. Spectacular views of Canadian Islands like Campobello, Deer Island, and others enrich the view. Experience the 30-foot tides of Passamaquoddy Bay that change your view multiple times each day. The property is located right in downtown Eastport, with off-street parking, so one can park one's car, and walk to restaurants, bars, shops, stores.

My husband and I really couldn't have found a more perfect space for our visit to Eastport. Our first trip to Maine, we both fell in love with the town from the moment we stepped our of our car. Upon our arrival, a foggy early evening, we were greeted by a deer walking down the middle of the otherwise deserted street - it seemed like something out of the old TV show "Northern Exposure."
The town is so charming - the food was wonderful in every establishment we visited. I highly recommend the bakery, as well as the Haddock Reuben at the WaCo Diner. Upon discovering the lobster pot in the apartment, walked down the street to Quoddy Bay Lobster and brought two fresh lobsters back for dinner.
We enjoyed seeing all the historical buildings. We live in an area where old buildings are often razed and replaced with newer ones (with far less charm and character), so it was refreshing to see the restoration and preservation of these beautiful structures. The walkway along the water was so charming - the street lamps, wildflowers, and gentle breezes made for pleasant morning strolls. We were able to find all the provisions we needed on foot. The supermarket was just a short walk up the hill and everything else was available in town.
As for the apartment, the open floorpan, extraordinary views, and well-appointed apartment were exactly what we were looking for. The owners were friendly and accessible. They thought of everything - it was easy to tell they put much thought and love into making it homey and comfortable. We slept soundly on the comfortable bed, admired the beautiful artwork, and were impressed with how spotlessly clean everything was.
The light in the space was amazing. We brought our cat with us, who promptly found her early morning sunning perch. I found great joy in sitting with a sketchbook and looking out over the water. We enjoyed watching the tides come in and out, as well as the boats. It was fascinating to watch Canada appear and disappear in the fog.
We left feeling well-rested, relaxed, and very happy with our entire experience. We created memories here we will cherish for years to come and felt sad leaving! Another visit is definitely in our future - it felt like a home away from home, which is exactly what a vacation property should be.
We are so happy you enjoyed Eastport & our place! Please come back again!
The owners were a delight and met us at the property. 2nd story apartment with huge views of the bay and the working pier. Cooked most of our meals in. Place was immaculately clean. Walks in town, visit to Cobscook State Park and sitting on balcony deck watching the Coast Guardsmen do their tasks. Great trip and we'll be back.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks for choosing our place!
Great little spot
The apartment was as pictured with stunning sunset and sunrise views over the water. The owners were very kind and responsive during the booking process. I had no needs during the stay. The apartment was very clean, well kept and stocked with more than ample supply of clean bed linens and towels. They also have a guest book, which is nice. I would definitely stay here again.
We glad you enjoyed staying at our Harbor-Side apartment. We hope you return! Thanks!
Amazing Harbor view
This apartment was perfect for an Eastport, ME vacation. It was clean, and fully equipped. The view from the apartment was amazing. Unbelievable sunrises and colorful skies at sunset. We saw a whale swimming in the harbor each morning.
Thanks for staying at our place!

Delightful apartment - accommodated 3 adults nicely. Lots of sun and great views.
We had a wonderful time in Eastport and the apartment was just perfect for this three night stay! The views from the back of the apartment and the deck are wonderful. The sun rises quite early in Eastport and fills the apartment with natural light. Eastport is a quaint town with very friendly and helpful neighbors. We are very happy that we were able to spend time in this great little town and in this wonderful apartment.
