There is a new completely finished bedroom in the walk out basement area, with an en-suite bathroom. There is cable TV and high speed internet, outdoor shower, all new appliances, complete kitchen with many cooking tools, large ceiling fan in living room, fans for all bedrooms, washer/dryer, Weber gas grill, 2 bikes, lounge chairs, outdoor table/chairs/umbrella, 8 beach chairs, children's toys, flowers around house and on deck.
My late husband and I purchased this home because we love the ocean, the ponds, walking and biking in the area and especially enjoyed having our children and grandchildren visit. Our children no longer live close by, which means they come for a shorter time and I travel to them. This makes the house available for rent when family is not using it. Everything in the house was purchased for our use, not for rental so there are nice dishes, good linens and towels etc. I enjoy gardening and cooking so the house has a complete kitchen, herbs grow in pots and are available for your use.
Marsha Canick purchased this house in 2002
After vacationing in Wellfleet for many years, we were looking for a new place to rent. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks stay at this lovely, well-situated home in the woods. The home was appointed beautifully and comfortably, and it was well maintained and very clean. The outdoor deck was a favorite place to eat, read, relax, and bird-watch. We would highly recommend this property.
Every positive idea one might have about staying at a rental house on the Cape is true with this house. The location is quiet, with easy access to bayside & oceanside beaches, Wellfleet and a short drive to Provincetown.Although there are a number of easily accessible restaurants, we would purchase fresh seafood in Wellfleet and grill at the house for most evening meals for a very relaxing end of the day. Wellfleet also has marvelous art galleries. The layout of the house works quite well and is furnished with comfortable furniture. We most definitely have and will conitue to recommend this house to friends and relatives.
Beautiful, well maintained home on the edge of the National Seashore. We loved walking to the pristine kettle pond for a refreshing swim-sometimes we were the only people in the pond! Convenient to everything the outer cape has to offer, and the owner was lovely to deal with. Would recommend this home wholeheartedly!
We had a wonderful week in Wellfleet. The house is lovely, spotless, well supplied and cared for. There were no problems for the owner to address but she was very responsive to questions. Great house!
Nestled in the woods, atop a cull-de-sac hill, immersed in trees on a private road, sits a special and charming 2 story house that is visited by cardinals, hummingbirds and bluejays.
Convenient driveway access. Upstairs has two airy bedrooms, one with king bed and the other with 2 youth beds, both with forest views.
A bathroom with shower, large closets and
desk work space with window, under a vaulted ceiling. From upstairs, looking down, you see the living room below. Furnished with couch, tables. chairs, fireplace, ceiling fan, dining area, sculptures, art curios, torch lamps and stereo with full music selection. And a second bathroom. An adjacent lounging den, fun-room with TV and games.
Leading into a spacious neat kitchen with modern appliances, a round breakfast table nook, looking out over the wood deck with lounge chairs, BBQ, plants, bird feeder and a stair leading down to an outdoor shower. And there's a the basement with washer, dryer and stocked with helpful, practical cleaning tools.
The location of the property places you in perfect position making for a terrific holiday. Not too near, but in proximity to Rte 6, giving access to everywhere and everything on the Cape. Whether walking, biking or driving. The beaches, ponds, restaurants, theaters, markets, bike paths, nature reserves. Everything needed to make activities convenient and enjoyable. Excellent service provided and highly recommended.
This is a beautiful, airy house in a peaceful, private wooded location. The house is immaculate, and beautifully decorated with colorful rugs, weavings and artwork. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is a great outdoor grill on the large deck. The best part, is that it's just a short walk through the woods to lovely, secluded Dyer pond. It's also a short walk into charming Wellfleet center, and the bay with many restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed the short bike ride to the national seashore, and longer jaunts on the rail trail. The owner was very helpful, providing lots of information. Highly recommended!
