My husband and brought our house 4 years ago, we decided to turn the downstairs into two apartments for rental. The project as always took longer than expected, but we finally finished. We designed the apartments layout and interior. We like simple clean with a artistic flare, and an island touch. Inspired by the waters and the white sand, the apartments are constantly reminding you you are close to the beach.
Full kitchen, as well as living room with tv dining areas inside and out , hammocks, BBQ.s and soon to come snorkeling equipment and bicycles.
We also provide beach chairs, umbrella, some beach toys.
The bedrooms all have ac, but the apartments stay cool, so it's not always required.
The area is a quiet residential area, and our house is at the end of a dead end rd, so there is no traffic.
My husband and I are diving instructors but due to the renovations had to do what we call Grown Up Jobs ! I still teach private courses when time allows!
I am available to help you with any travel planning needs, advice etc, it's a lot easier to use local knowledge when it comes to a small island, so just ask!
My husband and I have worked in tourism all over the world for over 10 years. We are both Padi diving instructors but had to move on to pay for our renovations. I still manage to teach some private classes when time permits.
We live upstairs with our two potcakes ( island dogs)
I sometimes work from home as I like to be around incase our guests need to ask me something. I work as destination host and concierge, so you have your very own personal concierge service to hand. We love to travel, but we always choose something away from the hustle bustle, and that's exactly what we have created.
Emma Halliday purchased this apartment in 2009
Spacious apartments, fully equipped, close to a very quiet beach, off the beaten path, pretty gardens, centrally located in the island, walking distance to da conch shack, snorkeling close by, quiet, artistic flare, not your average condo style decoration.
Close to the beach, close to the conch shack, on site management by owners, peaceful, pretty gardens, hammocks, fresh eggs from the chickens

We originally rented the 1 bedroom apt but were upgraded by our lovely host to the 2 bedroom. The apt was spacious with 2 baths, all the kitchen equipment you would need, a washer/ dryer and wifi. We were able to walk to the beach within 3 minutes or with our rental car explore all the other glorious beaches on the island. Our first night we walked to the famous "conch shack" for traditional cracked conch-yum. Other nights we cooked in after gathering supplies at the well stocked local IGa or tried a few of the marvelous local restaurants for the rum punches and sunsets. I really appreciated the quiet simplicity of the old beach house which really is a misnomer. Emma, our host, was so helpful with island information and willingly answered so many questions. She treated us to papayas off the trees just outside our room and made us feel welcome and comfortable in so many ways. I can't wait to come back.
From the moment we arrived until the moment we had to head home, one word: Perfect. We have been staying on the Island for years, since 2005 and this was our best vacation ever. Full kitchen meant we bought fresh grouper from the guy in the red truck and grilled it and having only 2-4 others on our whole stretch of beach was amazing. The apartment is beautiful and spacious and could have easily handled 4 people. Short walk on the beach to 2 great restaurants. The Smart is close by and reasonable. And Emma is just a lovely host. Very kind and helpful. You must try this beautiful location!
Our family of four (two adults and two children) stayed at The Old Beach House in mid-October . It was absolutely wonderful. The apartment was exactly as described/pictured and the location was perfect; very convenient to a grocery store, beaches and Grace Bay. Emma and Roger are very friendly and excellent to deal with! They answered all questions promptly. They were happy to provide information on the ferry schedule, restaurants, etc. We spent our days exploring the island in our rental car and enjoying sunsets and relaxing in the in the late afternoons. Restaurants and shopping in Grace Bay or Blue Hills are just a few minute drive away.
Overall we had a fabulous time on Provo and our whole family couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations. We definitely recommend The Old Beach Bouse to those looking for a Very Reasonable, well appointed, clean and comfortable rental in Turks and Caicos and can’t wait to come back ourselves!
We loved this stylish, spacious, clean apartment. It was very close to a quiet beach, great for reading. Emma was a friendly host and the apartment shows great personal touches - and care for guests' interests (plentiful snorkeling gear so we didn't have to rent it!) Strongly recommend renting a car from Grace Bay Rentals to stay at this location - it's out of the way from the main beaches, but even if you pay for a car, you're still going to save money by cooking for yourself and avoiding resort costs. Good snorkeling not far away at Coral Gardens, near Beaches Resort.
We had a truly lovely time at the apartment. It is incredibly good value. It is an oasis of calm and beauty , away from the busyness and commercial noise of the tourist hotspots. Very well equipped and really comfortable, beach towels, snorkeling gear, some holiday reading, beach chairs provided. 2 minutes walk to the beach which was usually deserted for miles.
Walk 5 minutes further along beach to road and you are at Da Conch Shack, which we thought overpriced but a nice setting. A few tiny shops sell things in tins, and toothpaste etc. The people spoke a French Creole patois but sign language worked.
We stocked up once for the week at the IGA and cooked meals in the well equipped kitchen.
Rather than expensive taxis, private cars calling themselves jitneys, will beep at you and take you places cheaply, eg to the airport for $6 instead of $25 in a cab.
We only rented a car for one day and went snorkeling at Smiths Reef , which was great, and to Chalk Sound which is a must see. Very nice bar restaurant there Las Brisas , right on the water. Have a drink and enjoy spectacular turquoise waters of Chalk Sound.
Emma was just lovely, the perfect host, she arranged scuba diving for our 14 year old grandson, gave us new laid eggs from the onsite hens, and made everything really easy, relaxed and fun. The apartment feels really safe, though the location is isolated. It also has an in house safe which is great for passports, wallets etc. The 2 dogs live on the upstairs balcony and bark a bit when people arrive, but you get used to them.
If you want beauty, relaxation, time to unwind , very comfortable surroundings and glorious turquoise sea for swimming and what feels like miles of your own private beach 2 minutes away, this is the place for you.
We loved our stay with Emma. The rooms were cute and nicely decorated with local art. Everything was clean and quiet. You are two min walk to a beautiful quiet beach and you are also 5min walk down the beach to the Condo Shack bar and restaurant. We also loved the fresh eggs from her chickens. We can't wait to come stay here again.
Residential area just a few minutes walk from our beach, through our neighborhood gardens. Last house at the end of a cul did sac so no traffic to worry about.
