Very cozy and awesome backyard

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here over 4th of July and had a great time! Super close to Glacier NP, easy access to Whitefish, and the house itself is really cozy. We loved sitting in the backyard and watching/listening to all the songbirds and ducks--we even saw woodpeckers! Our dogs loved it here too, lots of room to roam and play. We would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. The backyard is my favorite place. I hope you got to enjoy some of the salad greens and fresh herbs from the garden. Sincerely, Anna

Nice and comfy property

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here for 4 nights during our visits to Glacier National Park in late July. It is about 20 minutes to the park's west entrance and 5 minutes away from a large grocery store, very convenient.

The house is very clean and beds are very comfy. Owner also provided Netflix access for the guest which is a huge plus for entertaining my kids. We are from the south and used to have air condition running all summer. Even though this property doesn't have air condition, we kept the windows open at night as the owner recommended. The whole house stayed cool and had very nice breeze.

Overall we loved the stay. We will definitely rent this property again when we come back to the beautiful Glacier Park.

Wonderful place to stay. Beats a hotel hands down.

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Excellent bang for the buck. Comfortable beds, anything you could really need. About 2 minutes from Columbia Falls probably 15-20 from West glacier. Would definitely stay again. The only thing we ran into was the shower was a bit slippery, but all in all really no downsides. Even when the temp got into mid 90's during the day all you had to do was open the windows and it cooled right off at night.

Everything was great, the owner and the house

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here greatly. Everything within the owners' control was perfect -- the house, the yards, the kitchen and wonderful beds and bedding. There is a house next door where you should expect typical neighborhood noises but during the day and on quiet evenings it is a wonderful and peaceful place to be.

Very comfortable, well stocked and nicely appointed. Close the park and Columbia Falls.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of three came to enjoy the National Park mid-season. This home is a wonderful respite from the crowds and the heat. We spent the evenings out back cooking on the BBQ and looking out over the marsh and it's wildlife as the temperature dropped. Anna shared her garden greens and herbs with us for some delicious salads. Thanks Anna.

Evening activities are abundant with games, CDs, books and Netflix at the ready.

Even though the appliances are 'vintage', they all did the job and we brought our own dishwasher (son), so that was easy too!

Nights were restful with the light cool breezes through open windows, starry skies and the rhythm of the occasional distant train.

This is a no stress vacation spot, except when we locked ourselves out, but Anna has that covered too.

All in all, a great Montana experience.

Wonderful Home For our Little Traveling Family

  • 5 of 5

We have been traveling to Montana to visit my in-laws for years, but once we had our two boys, our in-laws no longer had room for us to stay with them.

Traveling with two boys, ages 4 and 6 means lots of NOISE! We have previously stayed at the Meadow Lake Resort, and although a very nice place, it's very expensive, and we were always worried about our boys bothering our neighbors, (particularly when we stayed in a second floor condo with shared walls, and people below us).

It was nice a nice change to stay somewhere that we could let our boys feel like they were at home, and not worry about bothering the neighbors, and there was plenty of room for them to run around outside.

The house has plenty of room inside, stocked with everything we needed...a true home away from home; there were even ice cream bars in the freezer!

My wife is an AMAZING cook, and was so pleased to have a fully stocked kitchen (pots/pans, plates, flatware, spices, etc.), which made making meals fun and easy.

The dining area is very roomy and inviting, and we were able to have family over for dinner with us every evening.

There are plenty of drawers for storing clothes in the bedrooms, so we didn't have to live out of our suitcases...that was really nice. And when it came to laundry, we had a washer and dryer right there in the house. So easy!

The internet wi-fi was super nice, and there was a large library of DVD's and music CD's available.

During our stay, we saw deer in the back yard, took our boys fishing where they caught their first fish, caught frogs in Glacier National Park, rode the Alpine slide and gondola at Big mountain, and even spotted a black bear wandering the treeline a few miles away on our way out of town! Now THAT is MONTANA!

Who could ask for more?

Booking was easy, and the manager was great to work with. You'll need to book early though, particularly if you plan to stay during the summer months, as this place gets booked up way ahead of time.

Thanks for letting us stay at your wonderful cottage!
