Its diverse habitats are home to over 70 species of mammals including the grizzly bear, wolverine, gray wolf and lynx. Come and experience Glacier's pristine forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountains, and spectacular lakes. With over 700 miles of trails, Glacier is a hiker's paradise for adventurous visitors seeking wilderness and solitude. For more information go to

Snowcat Adventures - Do you like powder and plenty of it - nestled right in the snow belt of the scenic Whitefish Range, where light fluffy snow blankets our mountains quite regularly? If what you're looking for is deep powder with open glades and enough terrain to match your ability, you've found it in approximately 35 square miles of the Stillwater State Forest in the Whitefish Range and you need to try this backcountry Snowcat adventure.

Mountain Biking - Soak in the amazing vistas while getting a little exercise to boot. One of the best ways to experience the beauty of Montana's natural setting is cruising along some of the 20+ miles of biking trails at Whitefish Mountain Resort.

There are four different loops and routes on the trail with the longest route being 5.6 miles from base to summit. The most direct route is 3.6 miles. Please remember to pack extra clothing, food, and water and travel with hiking partners.

Hiking - Leaving directly from Whitefish Mountain Resort Village is the popular hiking experience of the Danny On Trail, which meanders up the slopes of Big Mountain through blooming wildflowers to the 6,817 ft summit, passing through forests and fields. Epic vistas look out over the valley and the mountains from various points along the trail.

Flathead Lake offers you plenty of room to play – in, on, and by the water. Flathead Lake is home to trophy-size trout, yellow perch and whitefish. Located just south of Kalispell, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi is 28 miles long and up to 15 miles wide. That’s 188 square miles of pure enjoyment! The lake’s sparkling waters and miles of tree-lined shore offer unlimited recreational opportunities and wildlife habitat. Overlooking it all are the magnificent Swan and Mission mountain ranges.

Great property even better owner

  • 5 of 5

Charlene was easy to work with and understanding of our situation. She did everything to make our stay the best possible.

The house is as nice as the photos show if not better. Charlene takes pride in what she has.

We wanted a place close to Glacier NP, Kalispel, Whitefish and golf. This house had it. I couldn't have been happier and am looking forward to the next time we can come up.

Kitchen, bedrooms, outdoor patio and deck where what we were looking for. Quiet neighborhood was a nice extra.

The only thing we couldn't find was a cheese grater, but that's a pretty small item to worry about. It was probably there, we just couldn't find it. The kitchen had everything else you can imagine.

Beautiful Home, Responsive Owner

  • 5 of 5

Great location, less than 20 miles from Glacier's West Glacier entrance, and less than 10 miles from Whistler.

The pictures are an accurate representation of the home. Located on the seventh tee of the golf course.

I emailed Charlene, the owner, a week before we arrived asking for suggestions for a supermarket, and for things to see and do in the area. Charlene offered to stop by and she gave us good advice. We followed her suggestions and were glad we did.

Also, the AC failed one day while we were in the park. We texted Charlene and she arrived the next morning with a tech who was able to repair it.

If you're looking for a beautiful home, in great location , with a responsive owner - you've found it.

Absolutely Perfect and We Don't Even Golf!

  • 5 of 5

Stop looking and just book it! This beautiful home is meticulously maintained and sparkling clean. Charlene's attention to detail is second to none. We have stayed in many very nice VRBO properties around the country and this one sets the standard! We originally hesitated booking it because it is on a golf course and we don't golf. This just made it all the nicer. While out on the patio the view is beautiful and peaceful with the occasional golfer quietly teeing off. Like I said in the start of my review, just stop looking and book it. The price is right, the location is excellent and the home is perfect!

Excellent location and pristine property! However...

  • 5 of 5

All of the reviews of this property and location is spot on. Charlene visited the home 2 times while we were there just to take care of the yard. I would caution that this home is absolutely perfect and I would not feel comfortable there with small children. If you see anything out of place or suspect normal wear and tear while you are using this house, you will need to report it immediately to Charlene.

First time to Glacier for the two of us!

  • 5 of 5

This home is the best VRBO we have ever stayed at in our traveling years! The home was pristine! Comfy! We cooked two meals, sat on the deck, walked the neighborhood, traveled to Glacier, and enjoyed just staying home in the evenings. The master suite was lovely! We dined at the Meadow Lake Course bar and grill twice--excellent food and service. We did not bring clubs, but wished we had!! It was a perfect spot for the two of us! Charlene is a gracious owner with a knack to achieve perfection! Thank you for the delightful stay!!!
