Second floor condo with sales model furnishings for executive visitors

Our property manager and your primary contact is a year round resident of Pacifico. Being fluent in English and Spanish his concierge services will assure you have the ideal tropical vacation experience.

Our 3 bedroom condo was a sales model featuring high end Robb & Stucky furnishings and decor. For the first 3 years the condo was used exclusively by the owners during the USA winter months. It's preferred second floor location provides a view of a classic swimming pool used primarily by adults and the impeccably maintained landscape courtyard from the master bedroom/living room deck. Throughout the Pacifico complex there are 3 additional pools including a 25m lap lane, lagoon pool children's zero entry wading pool and Jacuzzi. New to the pool areas is food and drink poolside service.

The open condo floor plan has a large living area perfect for family and friends to gather. Surrounded by large palm trees, the balcony has dual 10 foot koolaroo, full coverage, shades making a private outside haven. The master suite king bed has it's own large flat screen tv. The in suite master bath has two sinks and a large shower. The second and third bedrooms both have a queen bed, generous closet space and separate bathroom with shower. The living room sofa can be folded out to a queen size bed.


Q: Can you suggest a car service to pick us up and drive us back from Liberia airport 17 miles (26 kilometers) away?

A: Taxi service is available the airport to the condo for approximately $50 one way. The taxi stand is in front of Auto Mercado grocery store outside the main gate of property. To hire a taxi walk to the taxi stand and direct the driver to the condo entrance.

Q: Is the condo walking distance to the beach, supermarket and restaurants or should we rent a car for the week?

A: Local activities, bars, restaurants, shopping, beach in Coco are within walking distance or a short inexpensive taxi ride, however to fully experience as much of this beautiful country during your stay you will want to travel outside of Coco. Excursions can be arranged through tour companies if you do not want to rent a car. Driving in Costa Rica is similar to North America however most roads are 2 lane. Rural roads are usually gravel/rock with and somewhat rough. Cars should be rented at the airport upon arrival as there is no car rental agencies in Coco. We suggest including a GPS in your car rental package as Costa Rica does not have a street sign system. Parking at Pacifico and in Coco is free.

Q: You have several washrooms in the condo, is there only one shower?

A: There are two full baths, both with large showers. There are no bathtubs in the condo.

Q: Is Wifi included?

A: Yes, attached is our 'Key's to Condo' that includes the WiFi access code

Q: Are there free gym facilities at the condo?

A: Yes, there is a local gym in the Pacifico Retail shop near the entrance. No, it is not free, however, the owner has provided discounted weekly rates to guests staying at Pacifico.

Q: Do the pools get crowded this time of the year?

A: The pools are rarely "crowded" and there is poolside service from the bar & grill to lounges, chairs and even to condo. There are 4 pools to choose from. Guests at the condo also are authorized to use the Pacifico Beach Club pool for an additional Guest fee paid direct to The Club at time of it's first use. It is located approximately 1.5 miles away and accessible by free shuttle service at designated hours. The Pacifico Beach Club offers 2 small swimming pools, beach access, lounge chairs, cabanas and a full service restaurant.

Q: Can you suggest some zip line, bike rentals, tourist attractions we can book when we arrive?

A: Yes, after receiving your reservation dates and car rental plans. Even after staying in Costa Rica for over 12 months during our 3 years of winter snowbirding there we still have a list of new 'to-do's' on our next visit. Never an idle moment in this country, unless that's what your objective is while enjoying the panoramic environment.

Q: Is there a payment or travel protection plan that you offer?

A: The HomeAway/VRBO travel protection payment for property is made through the “Book It” link on the listing website. They also provide explanation of what is included and not included.

Q: Is all of the money due up front or can we pay in installments?

A: Payment in full is required prior to check-in. Our guests also have the option to pay on-site at time of check in using a major credit card or PayPal. Any on-site payments made direct to owner do not include the travel protection service offered by HomeAway/VRBO.

Q: Do you require a security deposit?

A: Yes, $500, an initial rental deposit, will block out the requested rental dates to assure they are not made available to any other party. Upon receipt of payment of rental payment this rental deposit is held as a security deposit until you've checked out and property inspection is completed.

Q: Does the rent fee include access to Pacifico's Beach Club?

A: Yes, the Beach Club restaurant and bar is open to the general public, but use of the clubs two swimming pools and ocean side lounge area has a separate fee that is paid directly by condo guest(s) to Club at time of first use. The separate fee varies by term of use (either daily, weekly or monthly) and guest age (under 18 are free when accompanied with adult).

Very nice condo-highly recommend!

My husband and our 3 young adult children stayed in this condo and we all loved it. It is well appointed, cared for, and we had plenty of room. The kitchen has everything you need, including some cooking spices and oils. The beds were comfortable, linens were provided, including beach towels! The washer/dryer works very well. The condo complex is conveniently located to town, walking distance. It is about a 20 minute walk to the beach. There is a nice grocery store right outside of the complex. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the complex is very secure with guards at every gate.

We joined the Beach Club for the week that we were there, ($70/per person). In hindsight we should have bought daily passes to the Club ($25/day) because there were some days that we went on excursions and we did not go to the Club. The Club is very nice, it has the nicest location on the beach. The servers were all friendly and the service was fast. The drinks and the food were good. You can rent cabana's for the day, $25/day. There is a free shuttle that picks you up at the condo complex and takes you to/from the Beach Club. Be sure to check these schedules as that vary from each other and they do not run hourly. You can walk to the Beach Club, it takes about 25 minutes.

I can not say enough about the owner of this condo. He was always very prompt and helpful in answering all of my questions. But what really stands out, and speaks volumes about him, is that he credited us a night's stay when we had to leave Playas del Coco a day early in order to get back to the States because one of our family member's got injured. We did not ask him to do this, he did it on his own. Thank you very much John, this was so nice of you to do and we really appreciate it! We loved your condo :)

The owner provided a concierge (Laura) for us to use during our stay. She met us at the condo, checked us in, gave us her phone number to use in case we had any questions. Laura proved invaluable to us! She was available to answer our questions, no matter how small. But she went above and beyond at the end of our trip when we had to get to the airport and the tour company that we hired to take us to the airport did not come get us. Thank you so much Laura for the help and the adventure of getting us to the airport! I can't tell you how much we appreciate what you did for us!!!

Loved this condo!

Our family of 5 stayed here for almost a week and I can't say enough nice things about it! The condo is very nice and well appointed. The beds are comfortable, the furnishings are nice, they proved nice towels and even beach towels for our use. The washer/dryer work very well, the kitchen has everything you need plus more.

We loved the Pacifico complex. The grounds are beautiful. It is very safe, there are guards at each gate. There is a bar next to one of the pools that serves drinks and food. We felt like were at a resort and not a condominium complex. The town & beach are a short walk away.

We did buy a week's membership at the Beach Club, ($70/person). It was lovely, the nicest beach on the Playa del Coco's beach, as far as I could tell. The food was good, the service was great. In hindsight we should have bought daily passes versus a week's pass because we did some excursions and didn't make it to the Beach Club on some days. There is a complimentary shuttle that runs every few hours to and from the condo complex and the beach club. It is about a 20 minute, easy walk otherwise.

A concierge is provided, (Laura). She was invaluable to us in more ways than I have room to explain. She speaks English and was ready to answer any questions we had. She even took us to the airport when our ride didn't show up to get us. Thanks for everything Laura, you went above and beyond in helping our family and we are deeply appreciative!

The owner was great communicating with me during the booking process. He was quick to respond to questions and was also very helpful. Thanks John, we loved your condo!

We loved staying here and I have every confidence that you will, too!

Just returned from a 5 week stay at this wonderful condo. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Everything you can think of that you might need in the kitchen is there (ice cream scoop, toaster, lots of utensils and dishes, potato peelers, wine opener) the list could go on & on, trust me, if you think you need it, it's there. The coffee maker is very high quality. Being coffee snobs and taking our cup of coffee very seriously, it was very nice to have a great cup of java every morning. The beds were comfy, as were the pillows and bedding. Lots of bath towels and lots of towels for pool use too. The condo has a very comfortable feeling so just unpack, relax and make yourself at home.

We are seasoned Pacifico vacationers and this was our first time staying on the 2nd floor and really enjoyed it. We had a birds eye view and enjoyed sitting on the balcony for breakfast and seeing all the beautiful birds that came to say good morning.

Playa del Coco is a very fun little town. Many restaurants are in very easy walking distance and if it's something a little further away, taxis are always lined up outside the property and are inexpensive. There's a great, clean supermarket (AutoMercado) on the corner of the property as well so shopping is simple and there are a couple of other supermarkets on the main street. There's a fantastic fish market in town that you should take advantage of, but it's always wonderful after a day by one of the 4 pools to go out and have a fabulous fish dinner cooked for you.

Pacifico is always enjoyable and staying at this condo makes it even sweeter. Try it, you'll like it :)

Fantastic Even Though I Never Stayed

Me and two friends had booked this condo for 5 days, we were to leave Houston, but because of car issues, missed our flight. Once at the airport we were told the next available flight was in two days.

I contacted the owner John and he was fantastic. We had booked a couple days before leaving and I was positive they were going to ding us pretty good for cancelling the day of. Nope, Thursday is when I cancelled and by Monday. while still in Coco, my credit card was refunded both the deposit and the 5 day rental fee.

The really sad thing is we ended up in Coco, but because we were unsure that we could find a ride from San Jose($150 cab at 2am when out flight arrived to CR) I could not take John up on his offer to change the reservation. We arrived on a Sunday and the office was closed so we ended up paying more because we had to get two hotel rooms and getting much less because the hotel, was a hotel, with hotel amenities. I believe if I had emailed John would have set it up, but we were basically homeless at 6am on Sunday when the cab dropped us off in Coco and decided that we had put John through enough and just went with a hotel so we start our vacation.

I could not have had a better experience with a place I never stayed at. We took our golf cart rental to the Pacifico property and the Beach Club, the pictures, at least on the outside ones, are an accurate reflection of the properties. Both are beautiful.

I feel a bit guilty in that they didn't charge us anything for all the hassle we had put them through because we did not make our flight. Remarkable really. I should note that I don't believe we would have received a full refund had the reservation not been made last minute. I think, but do not know, had they felt that they could have rented to another party, there would have been a sizable fee. I remember something about the various fees in the rental agreement I signed.

One other note, I think check in was at 3pm, but I had contacted John and because the property was empty, he contacted the building management to arrange a noon check in, the time we were originally scheduled to arrive on Coco.

If we go to Coco again, I will go out of my way to get this specific unit because of the customer service and how professional and courteous John was.

Zip Line rides, ATV trails, volcano hikes, jungle river boat rides are the inland attractions close by the town of Playas Del Coco. In town services include guided scuba diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing and sun set catamaran cruises. This is an active organized swimming, running and biking community that has frequent organized group activities advertised for all to participate.

Having a rental car is optional as most guided activities include resort entry gate pickup and drop service. Immediately outside resort entry gate all within brief walking distance are 4 grocery stores. banks, ATM, pharmacy, medical clinic, bakery, restaurants, hardware store, beauty parlor, souvenir shops, bars, retail shops, casino, fresh fruit stands, etc.
